Abstract

Operating doors by springs.-In door-closing devices of the kind in which a coiled spring is compressed by cam gearing operated by the door pivot when the door is opened in either direction, a double cam is adapted to move, in opposite directions, a pair of slidable members between which the spring is arranged. The door pivot a carries two cams beach simultaneously operating rollers f carried by slidable members c, d. The member d engages the near end of the spring directly, while the other member c engages the remote end though the extension c' of the slide c and an adjustable screw g. In a modification, cams are arranged in different planes.
