Vapour and vacuum or low-pressure apparatus, arrangements of.-In a conversion system in which the anodes of a rectifier a are connected to the secondary windings b of a main polyphase transformer, voltage regulation is effected by means of a supplementary transformer having simultaneously variable secondary windings d connected between the load circuit and the main secondary windings b, and forming the star point of the secondary side of the transformer system, these secondary windings d being energized by primary windings f associated with the secondary windings b of the main transformer. A modified arrangement is described in which a three phase secondary system is provided, and the regulating switch is adapted to vary the secondary windings of the supplementary transformer successively.
