Abstract

247,299. North, W. C. D. Nov. 14, 1924. Lift valves ; casings.-A valve or tap comprises a body 1 secured to the inlet member 10, which provides a seating for a washer 12 on the closure member 2. The body 1 is flattened on two opposite sides so as to form two diverging portions 15, 15<A>, Fig. 5, which increase from the seating outwards. The closure member 2 is threaded to receive a screwed spindle 3 rotated by a handle 5.
