Diaphragm valves. -A screw-operated valve of type in which a champered valve member B is mounted on a diaphragm E gripped between two parts of the casing and acted on by a spring arranged beneath the valve has the lower end of the screwed actuating spindle provided with a conical surface. I adapted to co-operate with a conical seat formed on the inner surface of the cover. The inside of the cover is curved to correspond with the normal curvature of the diaphragm when the valve is open.
