Abstract

406,101. Multiple-way valves. DIGHTON, P., 16, Fawcett Road, Southsea. Nov. 22, 1932, No. 32948. [Class 135.] A three-way loose-ball valve comprises a casing A having an inlet branch 1 leading, for example, from an electric heater, and two outlet branches 2, 3 leading say to a wash-basin and to any other place of use, respectively. A ball valve E therein is adapted to close upon the seating G of one outlet 3 by gravity or a spring F, or can be forced by a screwed spindle 6 and cup-shaped pusher D, or other means, to close upon the seating H of the other outlet 2 whereby one or other outlet can be closed at will.
