Motor power plant; balancing moving parts; regulating.-In a turbine installation comprising a high-pressure, impulse section h and two reaction sections a, b through which the steam flows in series and in opposite directions, so that the turbine is balanced at all loads, the whole reaction blading is dimensioned for the maximum quantity of steam or overloads, an overhead inlet l being provided to by-pass the impulse section h above a certain load. The sections h, a, b may be arranged each in its own casing, or in a common casing. The section h may be located between the sections a, b instead of at one end. The unit may discharge into a low-pressure. turbine.
