Abstract

285,889. Edey, H. L. Feb. 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Circular flow.-The working fluid emerging from nozzles 10 impinges upon running blades 8 and passes to spaces 6 which are interconnected so as to form together a pressure equalizing chamber. The fluid then passes outwards through the same blades and into stationary guides blades 22. The blades may be arranged for axial.flow in both stages. The fixed blades 22 may be adjustable laterally so that a part of them may be masked and thereby the outlet be throttled. Additional working fluid may be introduced to the equalizing chamber.
