Motor power plant.-In a marine turbine installation having both high and low-pressure steam generators some of the low-pressure boilers are heated by the waste gases from the highpressure boilers, the low-pressure steam of these boilers being used in the low-pressure stages of the high-pressure turbine, or in separate lowpressure turbines. For cruising the high and the associated low-pressure, boilers are used, and the further power required for full speed is furnished by the independently fired low-pressure boilers and additional low-pressure turbines.
