Abstract

191,670. Baker, W. S. G., and Fletcher, J. Y. May 25, 1922. Holders. - A screwsocket holder for rapid wiring and attachment to a supporting tube or surface consists of an insulating body part containing on one side the metal screw socket and having a recess on the other side in which are situated an arm extending from the socket, a metal terminal piece extending from the central lamp cap contact, and another insulating block which carries the ends of the circuit wires. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3 the body 1 contains the screw tube 2, an arm 5 of which extends up into the recess 3 to make contact with the line wire 6. The metal strip or equivalent 8 forming the central contact passes clearlv through an opening 9 in the screw tube 2 into the recess 3 to make contact with the second line wire 7, both line wires passing through holes in the insulating clamping block 4 and being bent up in slots 13, as shown in Fig. 3. A screw 10 draws the block 4 towards the body 1 for securing the wires. The holder is secured in place by screws passing through holes 14. In the form shown in Fig. 5 for attachment at 22 to a tube, the block 19<a> in the upper recess 3 is drawn down by the cap 20 which is screwed into a sleeve 21 or. the body 1.
