Clamps, screw and cone type. -A fireproof cord-grip for electric lamp-holders or other devices consists of an asbestos casing made in two parts b<1>, b<2> and having a vertical central orifice e for receiving and compressing the leading-in wires, the upper portion oi the casing g being conical and its base being adapted for mounting in the aperture at the top of the lamp-holder or the like in known manner. The casing is secured by an enclosing cap which is screwed on to the holder and compresses the parts of the casing on to the wires. The lower part h of the casing may also be coned for use with holders of various sizes.
