7382. Higgins, T. S., Dale, J., and Manlove, Alliott, & Co. May 17. Disinfecting-chambers are adapted to be operated with steam at high pressure or with steam or formaldehyde vapour at low pressure. The jacket of the chamber a is supplied with steam through a connexion f from a chamber b supplied by a pipe c. A coil c in the chamber b can be supplied with steam from the chamber by a branch w fitted with a reducing-valve d and a control valve j. Air can be supplied to the coil by a pipe v and, after heating, passes to a distributing-pipe h within the chamber a by means of a pipe h<1> having a controlling-valve g. An ejector m serves to evacuate the chamber through a pipe l and receives its steam supply either from the chamber b or through a separate pipe m<2>. The formaldehyde evaporator n heated by a steam coil o is connected to the pipe h<1> by a branch h<2> having a controlling- valve p.
