Abstract

1476715 Axial-flow blowers KOMBINAT FORTSCHRITT LANDMASCHINEN NEUSTADT IN SACHSEN VEB 23 July 1975 [29 July 1974] 30741/75 Heading F1C [Also in Division A1] A cleaning blower in a combine harvester directs air to sieves of a cleaning device for threshed material and comprises an approximately three-quarters cylindrical housing 4 containing two axial-flow blower wheels 6, 7 spaced apart on a rotatable shaft 5, two baffle plates 8, 9 mounted on shaft 5 or housing 4 and an outlet 10 with two adjustable current guides 14, 15 (not shown). Air is sucked in and blown out as shown by the arrows and the position of and gap between baffle plates 8, 9 and housing 4 determines the air current distribution over the outlet cross-section. Wheels 6, 7 are situated inwardly or outwardly of outlet side walls 18, 19 as measured along the housing axis.
