Abstract

1,261,245. Photographic processing apparatus. AGFA-GEVAERT. Feb. 3, 1970 [Feb. 4, 1969], No. 5959/69. Heading G2A. Photographic processing apparatus has a developing station with at least two liquid applicator rollers 26, 27 located one behind the other in the direction of feed of exposed photographic strip or sheet material and partly located in a tray 21, 22 for containing developing liquid, a fixing station with at least one liquid applicator roller 32 partly located in a tray 24 for containing fixing liquid, and pairs of driven rollers 15, 16, 17 for transporting photographic material through the apparatus so that it travels over and in contact with the applicator rollers, applicator roller 26 rotating in an opposite direction to the material, the peripheral speed of applicator roller 27 being higher and in the same direction as the speed of the material, and applicator roller 32 being in the same direction as roller 26. Guides 28, 33 enable contact with rollers 26, 32 over 15 degrees of the circumference of the rollers, guide 33 having fingers 36 to keep a sheet immersed in the fixing solution. Roller pairs 16, 17 act to squeeze the material to remove processing solutions.
