Abstract

A fuel feed system for feeding a mixt. of an alcohol and/or ammonia and gasoline to an engine consists of a fuel tank, a feed pump, and a device with means, e.g. a carburettor or injector, for delivering the fuel to the air for combustion, and for passing to the engine an amt. of fuel which is a function of the momentary operating conditions, e.g. revolutions or average effective pressure. Before the device for fuel delivery there is placed an appts. which measures the momentary compsn. of the fuel mixt., gives a signal and by means of this controls the delivery device. Fuel mixts. esp. methanol-gasoline mixts., of varying compsn. can be used.
