Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the starting performance of an engine and the fuel consumption and to prevent the knocking under the heavy load, by providing an orifice for controlling the alcohl supply ratio in accordance to the operational condition of the engine in the flow path of the alcohol fuel to be used while mixed with the gasoline. CONSTITUTION:A fixed orifice 10 is provided in a fuel pipe 5 while a variable orifice 11 to be ooerated by an electrical signal is provided in a fuel pipe 6. The variable orifice 11 is provided with a control signal from a control unit 12 thus to control the supply ratio of the alcohol A against the gasoline G in accordance to the operating condition of the engine 14. Singnals of engine rotation, air flow, throttle valve position, water temperature, air temperature, exhaust gas density, etc. are provided to the control unit 12 to obtain the supply ratio between the gasoline and the alcohol matching to the operational condition thus to output the required alcohol supply ratio to the orifice 11 while to output a control signal constituted of the pulse indicating the fuel injection timing and the injection time to the injector 9.
