Abstract

Un procedimiento para producir 5-Q[3,4''-bipiridin]-6(iH)-ona, en donde Q es ciano o carbamilo, caracterizado por mezclar el hidrocloruro de cloruro de N-[3-dimetilamino-2-(4- piridinil)-2-propeniliden]-N-metilmetaniminio con una mezcla de Q-CH2CONH2 y por lo menos tres equivalentes molares de una base en un medio anhidro, calentar la mezcla de reacción a temperatura de aproximadamente 60ºC a 100ºC, y luego neutralizar la mezcla de reacción.
