Un copolicarbonato que comprende unidades de repetición A y B respectivamente de las fórmulas:**Fórmula** y en la que la relación molar de unidades (A) a unidades (B) está en el intervalo de 9:1 a 1:9, y en la que R1 es un grupo alicíclico C8 a C12 divalente, R2 es un grupo divalente seleccionado del grupo que consiste en etileno y propileno, n es un número entero que varía de 4 a 40.
