Definitions
- the invention relates to a floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner for cleaning and caring for floor surfaces, with a housing which has an underside facing the floor surface in the processing position, on which an elongated suction mouth extending transversely to the processing direction is arranged, the suction mouth being provided by at least one associated suction mouth edge is limited, the suction mouth forming an opening to a suction mouth space arranged above the suction mouth in the processing position, the suction mouth space being connected to a suction channel.
- the invention also relates to a vacuum cleaner with such a floor nozzle.
- vacuum cleaners are used to clean surfaces such as textile floor coverings and smooth floors.
- a floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner is continuously pushed back and forth on a floor surface.
- the effectiveness of the vacuum cleaner's dust collection depends heavily on the design of the floor nozzle.
- the design of the floor nozzle is playing an increasingly important role.
- the dimensioning of vacuum cleaner fans follows a trend towards less power, which initially leads to lower volume flows available at the floor nozzle, so that due to the continuity relationship at the floor nozzle, lower flow velocities generally result.
- the floor nozzles are adapted to the lower volume flows, in particular with additional lips on the suction mouths.
- a floor nozzle for a floor care device is known, with a suction mouth edge formed as a swiveling lip behind the suction mouth of the nozzle spreading the carpet pile when being painted over, in order to be able to clean the carpet effectively in depth even with lower volume flows.
- a floor nozzle with so-called suction mouth edges designed as swiveling lips is known.
- a floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner which has a housing which has an underside facing the floor surface in the processing position, on which a suction mouth is arranged that runs essentially transversely to the processing direction, the suction mouth being delimited by at least one associated suction mouth edge, the suction mouth forms an opening to a suction mouth space arranged above the suction mouth in the processing position, the suction mouth space with a Suction channel is connected, wherein a dust collection zone is arranged in the suction mouth space in the processing direction behind the suction mouth.
- the ejected dirt particles only partially get into the suction air flow that is being transported away, a not inconsiderable proportion of the loosened dirt particles are not transported away from the suction mouth, but inevitably land again on the floor surface to be cleaned after bouncing off the suction mouth wall and are worked back into the carpet fiber. Since this brings already dissolved dust into contact with the floor surface again and gets caught here, effective dust absorption is not guaranteed.
- the dust that has already been released is released again by the suction mouth edge and taken up by the floor nozzle.
- the invention thus has the problem of specifying an improved floor nozzle and an improved vacuum cleaner.
- a floor nozzle having the features of claim 1 and a vacuum cleaner according to claim 12. Because a dust collection zone is arranged in the suction mouth space in the processing direction in front of the suction mouth and in the processing direction behind the suction mouth, the floor nozzle can very effectively pick up loosened dirt particles and thus ensure effective dust pick-up, especially on carpets. As a result, effective cleaning of the floor surface with sufficiently high flow velocities can be achieved even with low volume flows. With such a floor nozzle, the Dust absorption effectiveness - especially on carpets - can therefore be advantageously increased, so that good performance classes or dust absorption values can be achieved even with low absorption capacities.
- the effectiveness of the dust absorption can be increased in this way without there being a significant increase in the pushing forces.
- the required volume flow for effective cleaning can be further reduced, so that more economical fans can be installed in the vacuum cleaner.
- the reduction in volume flows also leads to lower flow losses, especially in the case of bagless separators, so that further energy can be saved here.
- the arrangement of a dust collection zone in the processing direction in front of or behind the suction mouth prevents re-soiling of the floor surface to be cleaned by dirt particles rebounding from the suction chamber wall. This makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the removal of dirt particles that have already been released, since after they have been loosened and before they are transported away by the suction air stream, they initially collect in the dust collection zone.
- a particularly effective dust pick-up is achieved if a dust collection zone is located both in the processing direction in front of the suction mouth and in the processing direction behind the suction mouth. This ensures that dirt particles loosened by the suction mouth edges are effectively collected both in a forward movement of the floor nozzle in the processing direction and in a backward movement of the floor nozzle in the processing direction and transported away from the floor nozzle via the suction air flow generated by the vacuum cleaner fan.
- the floor area can be a textile floor covering such as a carpet or carpeting or a hard floor such.
- a wooden parquet, laminate or PVC flooring can be formed.
- the vacuum cleaner can have a fan for generating a negative pressure by means of which the floor nozzle, which is guided over a floor surface to be cleaned, picks up dust and dirt from the floor surface.
- the floor nozzle is moved back and forth in the processing direction by the user by means of pushing and pulling movements. This causes the floor nozzle to slide over the floor surface to be cleaned.
- the underside of the floor nozzle slides over the carpet, while the underside of hard floors is spaced apart, possibly by spacer bristles, floating over these floor surfaces.
- the user can, for example, handle a handle of the vacuum cleaner connected to the suction tube.
- the suction mouth is elongated and runs essentially transversely to the processing direction.
- elongated means that the preferably essentially rectangular suction mouth has a greater length transversely to the machining direction than the width in the machining direction.
- the suction mouth is preferably between 20 and 30 cm across long in the machine direction and preferably between one and 3 cm wide in the machine direction.
- the floor nozzle can also be arranged on an independently driving vacuum cleaner, in particular a robot vacuum cleaner, so that the processing direction of the floor nozzle corresponds to the direction of travel of the independently driving vacuum cleaner.
- a vacuum cleaner housing of the vacuum cleaner can have a dust receiving chamber in which the dust received via the floor nozzle can be collected in a dust bag, for example.
- the dust collection zone extends along the suction mouth.
- a dust collection zone extending along the vacuum cleaner mouth offers an effective possibility of collecting the dirt particles loosened from the suction mouth edge delimiting the suction mouth. If the dust collection zone extends essentially over the entire length of the suction mouth, a particularly high level of dust pick-up by the floor nozzle is guaranteed.
- An advantageous embodiment is that the dust collection zone is separated from the suction mouth by a partition in the suction mouth space.
- the separation of the dust collection zone by a partition in the suction mouth ensures that dirt particles that have been loosened and collected in the dust collection zone cannot escape from the floor nozzle again via the suction mouth. This prevents renewed soiling of the already cleaned floor area from the loosened and collected dirt particles.
- the partition has a through-flow opening, the through-flow opening connecting the suction mouth with the suction channel in terms of flow.
- the throughflow opening arranged in the partition wall ensures that dirt particles loosened from the floor surface get through the suction mouth into the dust collection zone and via the suction air flow into the suction channel in order to be effectively transported away from the floor nozzle.
- a collecting channel forming the dust collecting zone is arranged below the throughflow opening.
- the collecting channel is preferably designed as an extension of the partition wall arranged in the suction mouth.
- the configuration is further advantageous in that the collecting channel simultaneously forms the edge of the suction mouth.
- the collecting channel delimits the dust collection zone on the front side and forms the suction mouth edge on the rear side, the dust collection zone can be arranged particularly close to the suction mouth delimited by the suction mouth edge. This enables a particularly high amount of dust to be picked up by the floor nozzle and reliable dust collection in the dust collection zone.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the dust collection zone is arranged between the suction mouth and the suction channel.
- the arrangement of the dust collection zone between the suction mouth and the suction channel ensures that dirt particles collected in the dust collection zone are reliably transported away from the dust collection zone via the suction air flow through the suction channel and out of the floor nozzle.
- the dust collection zone is assigned at least one secondary air opening which is arranged so that a partial air flow independent of the suction mouth can be generated from the secondary air opening through the dust collection zone to the suction channel.
- the arrangement of a secondary air opening in the area of the dust collection zone ensures that dirt particles collected in the dust collection zone via the partial air flow can be transported away through the suction mouth independently of the main air flow. Because the partial air flow through the secondary air opening is independent of the main air flow through the suction mouth, a removal of collected dirt particles from the dust collection zone can be guaranteed even if the suction mouth is blocked or covered.
- the removal of collected dirt particles from the dust collection zone is particularly effective when the main air flow is reduced by a clogged or covered suction mouth and the suction air flow on the suction channel is diverted to a greater extent via the secondary air opening in this case.
- a preferred embodiment provides that the at least one secondary air opening is arranged laterally in the housing transversely to the machining direction.
- the lateral arrangement of the secondary air opening ensures that the partial air flow is reliably guided through the dust collection zone even with long-pile carpets. Due to the lateral arrangement of the secondary air opening near the floor surface, additional edge suction can be achieved through the secondary air opening. This allows Effective cleaning of areas near carpet edges and skirting boards through the auxiliary air opening on the side of the floor nozzle.
- the suction mouth space has an impact contour that promotes dust collection in the dust collection zone.
- Such an impact contour ensures that loosened dirt particles reliably get into the dust collection zone and are collected there.
- the impact contour is designed in such a way that dirt particles released from the bottom surface by the suction mouth edge bounce off the impact contour in the direction of the dust-collecting zone.
- the loosened dirt particles usually hit the impact contour in a certain angular range, with the dirt particles accelerated by the ejection from carpet fibers usually bouncing off the impact contour at approximately the same angle as they do hit the impact contour at the angle of incidence.
- an impact contour that promotes dust collection in the dust collection zone can be very easily formed in the suction mouth space. In this way, the impact processes of the loosened dirt particles on the impact contour can be used to ensure reliable removal of dirt from the floor nozzle and to ensure that once loosened dirt particles are not returned to the floor surface.
- the invention also relates to a vacuum cleaner for cleaning and caring for floor surfaces with a fan for generating a negative pressure to pick up dirt by means of an air stream and a separation system for cleaning the air picked up from dirt, the vacuum cleaner already described in more detail below having a floor nozzle according to of the previous and following description.

- the dust chamber 25 is closed and a negative pressure is generated.
- the air flow generated by the negative pressure is freed of dirt and grime in the separation system 24 and is guided out of the vacuum cleaner 2 via an exhaust air grille 23.
- This step circuit 18 includes switches that are sufficiently large that a user can operate them with his foot.
- the step switch 18 usually also has a switch for actuating the automatic winding system (not shown) for the connecting cable 22 that is integrated in the vacuum cleaner housing 21, 21a.

- dirt particles 31 collected in the dust collection zone 10a can be very easily transported away via the suction air flow 33 prevailing in the suction channel 9. Since the partial air flow 34 ( Fig.
- the removal of the collected dirt particles 31 from the dust collection zone 10a thus takes place regularly, since the suction mouth 6 is often covered or clogged, especially when it is placed on long-pile carpets, so that the suction air flow 33 of the suction channel 9 divided between suction mouth 6 and secondary air opening 14a regularly becomes one higher proportion is diverted via the secondary air opening 14a.
- the arrangement of the secondary air opening 14a transversely to the machining direction 5 laterally in the housing 3 ensures that the partial air flow 34 ( Fig. 8 ) is reliably guided from the secondary air opening 14a through the dust collection zone 10a even with long-pile carpets.
- the lateral arrangement of the secondary air opening 14a in the vicinity of the floor surface 30 also enables additional edge suction through the secondary air opening 14a. As a result, carpet edges and floor surface area on skirting boards can be effectively cleaned through the lateral auxiliary air opening 14a on floor nozzle 1.
- FIG Figure 8 discloses a sectional view through the floor nozzle 1 according to the invention according to the FIG Figure 6 drawn section plane BB.

- the carpet fibers are bent up from the front suction mouth edge 7 of the suction mouth 6 and adhering dirt particles 31 are thrown out of the carpet fibers 32.
- the thrown out dirt particles 31 thereby fly according to the trajectories shown in dash-dotted lines against the impact contour 15 arranged in the suction mouth space 8.
- the design of the impact contour 15 favors the dust collection in the rear dust collection zone 10a when the floor nozzle 1 moves forward
- Detached dirt particles 31 bounce off the baffle contour 15 in the direction of the rear dust-collecting zone 10a, since the bounce angle essentially corresponds to the bounce angle.
- the dirt particles that have bounced off are collected in the rear dust collection zone 10a before they are transported away via the suction air flow 33 in the suction channel 9.
- the Figure 10 shows the floor nozzle 1 according to Figure 9 in a backward movement in the processing direction 5.
- the movement initiated by the user causes the rear suction mouth edge 7a to bend up the carpet fibers 32 swept over by the sliding sole 4 and to hurl adhering dirt particles 31 out of the carpet fibers 32.
- the thrown out dirt particles 31 bounce off the impact contour 15 of the suction mouth space 8 according to the trajectory shown in dashed lines and land in the dust collection zone 10, which extends along the front suction mouth edge 7 of the suction mouth 6. From here, the collected dirt particles 31 are transported away to the suction channel 9 via the partial suction channel 9b.
- the design of the floor nozzle 1 with two dust collection zones 10, 10a, with a dust collection zone 10 in the processing direction 5 in front of the suction mouth 6 and a dust collection zone 10a in the processing direction 5 behind the suction mouth 6, has the advantage that loosened Dirt particles 31 are collected in the dust collecting zones 10, 10a both in a forward movement of the floor nozzle 1 in the machining direction 5 and in a backward movement of the floor nozzle 1 in the machining direction 5. This enables particularly effective and thorough cleaning of the floor surface 30.
- the invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown. Further refinements are possible without departing from the basic idea. So the floor nozzle 1 can also be designed as part of a self-propelled vacuum cleaner.

Fig. 2 ,3 ,6 ,8 u. 9) zu reinigen.
- In
