Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and an apparatus for Control of at least one electromagnetic consumer, in particular a solenoid valve to control the Fuel injection into an internal combustion engine one with electronic switching means and at least one Booster capacitor equipped control circuit, with a first step, the voltage of the booster capacitor after each partial or total discharge the same again the opening speed of the Injector and thus influencing the injection time reloads the desired value.
- a common rail fuel injection system the metering of the fuel mass for a cylinder over a Injector controlled.
- the accuracy of the metering will determined, among other things, by how quickly that Injector opens.
- the opening process of the Injector is accelerated by getting a high Voltage, fed from a booster capacitor, on the Injector there.
- the voltage of the booster capacitor after its discharge or partial discharge at Injection process brought back to the desired value become. This recharging is done by an electric one Circuit and takes some time. If more than one Follow injections so closely in time that not for the complete recharge of the booster capacitor enough time remains, an undefined arises Voltage at the booster capacitor. Is the tension of the Booster capacitor not at the start of the injection process at the desired value, this results in different opening times of the injection valve and thus also different fuel masses. Through the different fuel masses worsen it Emission behavior and engine running.
- the invention is also intended to Power loss when driving the electromagnetic Minimize consumption.
- the above task is used in a generic method solved that at least the speed and the load of the Internal combustion engine are detected and the strength of the first Required recharge current and / or the required recharge time for the booster capacitor at least depending on the recorded speed and load value is regulated.
- the above method is thereby advantageously trained that in the executed scheme the strength of the recharge current and in a corresponding manner also the Reload time in coordination with the reload current. With this step can be advantageously the Minimize power loss.
- the normal reload time is not sufficient. If there is such a requirement, the method according to the invention regulates the strength of the recharge current and the recharge time depending on these additional requirements for the engine control.
- Another measure is to measure the voltage of the Booster capacitor and in the regulation of the recharge current and the reload time depending on the measured voltage on Booster capacitor.
- Additional training allows a correction of the calculated injection time with a the deviation of the measured voltage from the desired voltage value at the booster capacitor specifying correction value by adding in another Process step the calculated injection time with the Correction value with formation of a corrected injection time is corrected.
- a control device for solving the above object at least one electromagnetic consumer, in particular a solenoid valve to control the Fuel injection into an internal combustion engine one with electronic switching means and at least one Booster capacitor equipped drive circuit that Reloading means, the voltage of the booster capacitor reloading to a desired value is thereby characterized that the reloading means functionally with Means for detecting at least the speed and the load of the Internal combustion engine are connected and control means have the strength of that for the desired Voltage value required recharge current and / or the required reloading time depends at least on the from the detection means detected speed value and the Regulate load value.

It should also be noted that those from the above-mentioned patent application DE 195 39 071 known Power stage also in the control device according to the Device can be used.
- Figure 1 is an electromagnetic consumer designated by way of example with 100. This is from one driven with 110 designated output stage. Furthermore is a charging circuit 120 is provided, the most important of which Element is a so-called booster capacitor 125 represents. Power amplifier 110 and charging circuit 120 can form a structural unit and accordingly the device described in DE 195 39 071 is, be trained.
- Both the output stage 110 and the charging circuit 120 are connected to a supply voltage UB.
- This is a motor vehicle preferably around the battery of the motor vehicle.
- the Booster capacitor 125 is on the one hand with ground and on the other others connected to the power amplifier 110.
- the electromagnetic consumer 100 optionally with the Voltage UC of the booster capacitor 125 or with the Supply voltage UB can be connected. This is with represented by a dash-dotted line.
- the control unit 130 receives the output signals N of a speed sensor 150 and the signal L one Load specification 155 forwarded. Furthermore, the Control unit 130, the output signal ti and that Output signal OPAN fed to a motor controller 140. The engine controller 140 processes at least that Output signal L of the load specification 155.
- the sensor 150 preferably detects the speed n of Internal combustion engine.
- the load specification 155 delivers Signal L that the load of the internal combustion engine features. This can be a Interface with other control units in the Act motor vehicle. But it can also be provided be that the load size L is an internal Size of the motor controller 140 is. at spark-ignited internal combustion engines the load size L preferably around the position of the Throttle. With self-igniting internal combustion engines it is for example a die characterizing amount of fuel to be injected Size.
- the Motor controller 140 Starting from at least the load L, the Motor controller 140 a drive signal ti that the Switching duration of the electromagnetic consumer certainly. This control period ti with which the output stage is applied determines the start of injection and that End of injection. It is shown in dashed lines that this Signal usually directly from the engine control 140 reaches the final stage 110.
- This increased voltage UC is provided by the charging circuit 120.
- the charging circuit 120 for example as a DC / DC converter, which increased a DC voltage into a DC voltage converted, be formed.
- Booster capacitor 125 This is from the Charging circuit on one opposite the Supply voltage UB increased voltage UC charged. At the start of the control, the electromagnetic Consumer 100 with this increased voltage acted upon so that the consumer faster responds.
- the charging process of the booster capacitor 125 is in the essentially through the recharge current ICN and the Reloading time tCN determined. These two sizes are specified by the control unit 130 and the Charging circuit 120 supplied.

- the voltage UC on the booster capacitor the speed n and the load L the Internal combustion engine detected.
- the electronic Control unit EC controls depending on the detected Sizes UC, n and L the strength of the recharge current ICN, as well as the reload time tCN for reloading the Booster capacitor.
- the voltage UC is before Injection process measured. To the power loss too can minimize, depending on the speed / load range Reload current ICN, can be changed. Accordingly the reload time tCN must also be changed. On Lowering the recharge current ICN means a Extension of reload time tCN, but one Reduction of power loss.
- the speed n and determined the load L of the internal combustion engine OPAN requirements recorded by the engine control are in particular the requirement several injections at short intervals one after the other, e.g. when switching from Stratified charge in homogeneous operation with gasoline direct injection or with preliminary or Post-injections e.g. for catalyst regeneration. In this case, the normal reload time is not sufficient out. If there is such a requirement, the electronic control unit EC the recharge current Briefly increase the ICN and thus the reload time tCN shorten, so that the desired booster capacitor voltage UC sets and therefore an accurate Metering of the fuel is made possible. It is possible if a limited number of reloads is necessary, the charging circuit briefly overburden.
- the measurement of the voltage UC before Injection is not mandatory if the Change in the recharge current ICN and the Reloading time tCN are coordinated.
- Fig. 4 are the voltage UC on the booster capacitor that Speed n and the load value L of the internal combustion engine recorded and corresponding sizes of electronic Control unit EC supplied.
- This forms one Correction value tik for correcting the calculated Injection time ti.
- a correction element K links the calculated injection time ti and the correction value tik to form a corrected injection time ti *.
- the correction means K part of the electronic control unit EC.
- the Voltage of the booster capacitor to a desired one Reloaded value.
- the voltage of the Booster capacitor after each partial or complete discharge of the same back onto the Opening speed of the injection valve and thus the desired value influencing the injection time recharged.
- a second step the speed and the load of the Internal combustion engine detected. It is advantageous if additionally certain requirements of the engine control be recorded. This is for example a signal OPAN, which indicates that several Injections through the same solenoid valve in very short time intervals are required. Furthermore, the Voltage at the booster capacitor, especially before Injection process to be measured.
- the strength of the ICN in the first step required recharge current and / or the required reload time tCN for the Booster capacitor at least depending on the im second step controlled operating state (LAST, speed) regulated.
- a correction value (tik) is determined, which is a deviation of the measured Voltage from the desired voltage value on the booster capacitor when controlling the injectors considered.
