Definitions
- the invention relates to a system according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a cross-cutting device for the edge strips is provided in front of the at least one longitudinal cutting device.
- a cross section is carried out from both sides of the web.
- a corresponding cross-cutting device - based on the transport direction of the corrugated cardboard web - is arranged in front of the at least one longitudinal cutting device.
- the two lateral cross sections are larger than the widest edge strip to be separated. The entire web is not cut transversely in front of the slitter.
- the corrugated cardboard web can be conveyed up to the cross cutter for the corrugated cardboard sheets in the transport direction without transverse division, whereby the guidance and the exact conveying movement are maintained.
- the transverse and longitudinal cuts are made precisely and in the correct position.
- the corrugated cardboard web area which has overlapping formats when changing formats, is cut out as waste by the cross cutter at the end of the system and discharged. It is disadvantageous that the edge strips are cut transversely and must be re-inserted into the discharge devices each time the format is changed, which can lead to disruptions due to the high transport speeds of the corrugated cardboard web.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of designing a system of the generic type in which no cross separation of the entire corrugated cardboard web is carried out when the format is changed so that the edge strips are cut endlessly.
- the cutting devices for cutting the edge strips are adjustable independently of the longitudinal cutting devices for cutting different formats, that is to say corrugated cardboard partial webs of different widths, and independently of these, transverse to the transport direction. So, while the corrugated cardboard web is being conveyed at full transport speed, they are adjusted transversely to the transport direction if, due to a change in format and width, edge strips of a different width have to be cut. This transverse displacement of the cutting devices takes place in the format-width-changing area, in which overlapping longitudinal sections of the previous format and the format to be driven from now on are possibly made, that is to say in an area that is waste anyway.
- the cutting devices for cutting the edge strips which are constantly in engagement with the corrugated cardboard web, can be conventionally rotating knives with counter knives, high-speed rotating single knives, laser or high-pressure water jet cutting devices.
- the statement means that the cutting devices are constantly in engagement, that they cut constantly during operation, that is to say during the transport of the corrugated cardboard web.
- Claim 4 has a very particularly advantageous development to the content, which enables a very rapid displacement of the cutting devices transversely to the direction of transport of the corrugated cardboard web, in particular if the cutting devices have circular knife disks that work without a counter knife.
- the claims 5 following indicate advantageous configurations for this.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 for the production of corrugated cardboard sheets is described below in the transport direction 1 of a corrugated cardboard web 2, that is to say from left to right in the drawing.
- the corrugated cardboard web 2 is fed by means of a heating and pulling device 3 and then passed over a short transfer table 4. Between the heating and pulling device 3 and the transfer table 4, a cross cutter (not shown) can be arranged, which is only for cutting out waste from the corrugated web 2 would serve at the start of production or during production.
- the transfer table 4 is followed by two longitudinal cutting devices 5, 6, which - in relation to the transport direction 1 - are first provided with scoring devices 7 and then with longitudinal cutters 8.
- the creasing devices 7 and the slitter 8 can be brought into or out of engagement with the corrugated cardboard web 2, only the creasing devices 7 and slitter 8 of a slitting device 5 or 6 being engaged with the corrugated cardboard web 2 during operation.
- the longitudinal cutting device 6 is followed by an edge strip cutting device 9, which has two cutting devices 10, 11 for cutting lateral edge strips 12, 13 of the corrugated cardboard web 2.
- the cutting devices 10, 11 are each assigned a discharge device 14, 15 for such a cut off lateral edge strip 12 or 13.
- a cutting device 10 or 11 is coupled to a removal device 14 or 15, for example, as can be seen in FIG. 1, on a common carriage 16.
- the cutting device 10 with removal device 14 and the cutting device 11 with removal device 15 are transverse to Transport direction 1 and in the horizontal in the feed direction 17 indicated by a double arrow adjustable and adjustable.
- the mode of operation of the edge strip cutting device 9 in cooperation with the longitudinal cutting devices 5, 6 is explained with reference to FIG. 3.
- the rear longitudinal cutting device 6 in the transport direction 1 was previously used.
- Their slitters 8 have cut the corrugated cardboard web 2 into four corrugated cardboard partial webs 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d by means of longitudinal cuts 18, the two outer partial webs 19a and 19d being trimmed in this way by means of the cutting devices 10, 11 of the edge strip cutting device 9 that they have received side margins 20a and 20d.
- the representation in FIG. 3 is chosen that the groove devices 7 of the slitter 6 were not engaged.
- the slitter 8 and also the creasing devices 7 of the slitter 5 are already set to the new format widths before the format change.
- the slitters 8 of the slitter 6 are first brought out of engagement with the corrugated sheet 2, so that they no longer cut.
- the longitudinal cuts 18 are therefore shown in Fig. 3 running to the right.
- the slitter 8 and in this case also the creasing devices 7 of the slitter 5 are fed to the corrugated cardboard web 2, that is brought into engagement therewith, whereby longitudinal cuts 21 are produced with a different position in the corrugated cardboard web 2, so that now Corrugated cardboard partial webs 22a, 22b, 22c and 22d are cut with a different format width than before.
- the partial webs 22a to 22d are also provided with grooves 23 running in the transport direction 1.
- the lateral edge strips 12, 13 are continuously cut off without interruption and placed in the removal devices 14, 15, which can be the usual suction devices. Since the discharge devices 14, 15 are adjusted together with the cutting devices 10, 11, even with such an adjustment, ie when the width of the edge strips 12, 13 changes, there can be no disruption in their removal.
- the format-width change area 24 of the corrugated board web 2 or the partial webs 19a to 19d and 22a to 22d is later cut out as waste.
- the longitudinal cuts 18 and 21 can - as shown in Fig. 3 - be arranged so that a closed non-longitudinally separated area of the corrugated cardboard web 2 remains between them; but they can also be designed to overlap one another.
- the cutting devices 10 and 11 can not only be coupled mechanically to the discharge devices 14 and 15, but also electrically, for example by drives with sequential controls. For reasons of clarity, the drives of the cutting devices 10 and 11 and also the slitter 8 and the creasing devices 7 are not shown.
- the corrugated cardboard web 2 consisting of partial webs is fed to a so-called simplex cross cutter 27, which is provided with feed rollers 28, knife rollers 29 and pull-out rollers 30 each lying in pairs against the corrugated cardboard web 2.
- the knife rollers 29 are driven so that corrugated cardboard sheets are cut with a predetermined format length, which is very often changed when the format width is changed.
- corrugated cardboard sheets of the same format length are cut from all partial webs 19a to 19d and then 22a to 22d.
- the format-width-changing area 24 is also cut out of the corrugated cardboard web 2 and discharged through a downstream sheet lock 31 into a waste container 32. This sheet lock 31 also discharges other corrugated cardboard sheets identified as defective into the waste container 32.
- this sheet lock 31 is followed by a conventional sheet deposit 33, which conveys the sheets of corrugated cardboard cut from the various corrugated cardboard partial webs 19a to 19d or 22a to 22d to different sheet containers.
- the transport speed of the corrugated cardboard web 2 remains unchanged up to the cross cutter 27, since neither before nor during the passage of the corrugated cardboard web 2 through the slitting devices 5, 6 nor in the Edge strip cutting device 9 any cross cutting process or even a complete cut of the corrugated cardboard web 2 takes place.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 a particularly preferred embodiment of an edge strip cutting device 9 'is shown.
- This has a frame 34, which can in principle be designed as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- This frame 34 is provided with an upper cross member 35, which is designed as a box girder, which extends above the corrugated board web 2 transversely to the transport direction 1.
- Cutting devices 10 ', 11' are attached to this upper cross member 35 in the lateral areas, of which only one cutting device 11 'is shown in detail. Both cutting devices are constructed and arranged mirror-symmetrically to one another.
- the cutting device 11 'shown in the drawing has a base plate 36 attached to the upper cross member 35, on which two guide rods 37, 38 which run horizontally, parallel to one another, in the vertical one above the other and transversely to the transport direction 1 are fastened.
- a cross slide 39 is displaceably guided on these guide rods 37, 38 by means of sliding bearings 40.
- the cross slide 39 is displaceably driven in the described displacement direction 41 by means of a spindle 42, which is rotatably mounted on the one hand in a side wall 43 of the frame 34 and on the other hand in a bearing 44 attached to the upper cross member 35.
- a displacement drive 45 designed as an electric motor, which is fastened on the upper cross member 35 and is connected to the spindle 42 by means of a toothed belt drive 46.
- the spindle 42 is guided in a spindle nut 47 which is attached to the cross slide 39. Rotations of the spindle 42 thus lead to displacement movements of the cross slide 39 on the guide rods 37, 38 in the displacement direction 41.
- a support and bearing unit 48 is attached to the cross slide 39, on which a knife carrier 49 is pivotally supported and supported about a vertical pendulum axis 50.
- a knife carrier 49 is pivotally supported and supported about a vertical pendulum axis 50.
- an upper spherical bearing 51 and a lower spherical bearing 52 are attached to the unit 48, in which the knife carrier 49 is mounted.
- a support arm 53 is arranged, which extends in the transport direction 1.
- a circular knife disk 54 is rotatably mounted in a bearing 55.
- This knife disk 54 is driven about an axis of rotation 56 by means of a knife drive motor 57 which is fastened to the side wall 43 above the upper cross member 35.
- the drive motor 57 drives, via a toothed belt drive 58, a knife drive shaft 59 which extends over the full width of the frame 34 and serves to drive both cutting devices 10 ', 11'.
- a toothed belt pinion 60 is arranged on the drive shaft 59 in a rotationally fixed but displaceable manner in the longitudinal direction of the drive shaft 59, which - as can be seen in particular in FIG. 5 - is arranged within the support and bearing unit 48. From this toothed belt pinion 60, a toothed belt wheel 62 is driven by means of a toothed belt 61, which is mounted at the lower end of the knife carrier 49, at the beginning of the support arm 53 in the knife carrier 49 about a horizontal axis of rotation 63 which is parallel to the axis of rotation 56 of the knife disk 54 runs.
- the center axis 64 of the knife drive shaft 59 and the axis of rotation 63 intersect the pendulum axis 50. This is likewise a vertical center axis for the toothed belt pinion 60 and the toothed belt wheel 62.
- the one formed by the pinion 60, the toothed belt 61 and the wheel 62 first toothed belt drive 65 thus lies in the pendulum axis 50.
- Another toothed belt pinion 66 is coupled to the toothed belt wheel 62 and drives a toothed belt wheel 68 connected to the cutter disk 54 via a toothed belt 67.
- the toothed belt pinion 66, the toothed belt 67 and the toothed belt wheel 68 form a second toothed belt drive 69.
- a cutting table 70 which runs horizontally and transversely to the transport direction 1 and over which the corrugated cardboard web 2 is guided, is arranged directly below the knife disk 54.
- This cutting table 70 is on attached a lower cross bracket 71 which is attached to the knife carrier 49 outside the corrugated cardboard web 2, so that the cutting table 70 is pivoted together with the knife carrier 49 about the pendulum axis 50.
- the knife disk 54 can be deflected from the transport direction 1 about the pendulum axis 50 by an angle a to both sides.
- the pivoting of the toothed belt wheel 62 of the first toothed belt drive 65 relative to its toothed belt pinion 60 takes place with slight deformation of the associated toothed belt 61, which does not pose any difficulties since the pendulum axis 50 is also the axis of symmetry of the first toothed belt drive 65.
- the knife disc 54 is pulled exactly in the transport direction 1 due to the movement of the corrugated cardboard web 2 in the transport direction 1. In order to ensure this, the cutting plane 54a of the knife disk 54 passes through the pendulum axis 50.
- the toothed belt pinion 60 is placed on the knife Drive shaft 59 shifted.
- the knife carrier 49 can swing with the knife disk 54 about the pendulum axis 50 and be deflected in the pivoting range defined by the angle a about the pendulum axis 50 from the transport direction 1, as a result of which a particularly smooth pivoting from the side edges 20a or 20d onto the side edges 25a or 25d is reached as shown in Fig. 3.
- the format-width change area 24 can thereby become very short, i.e. the losses of corrugated cardboard are therefore very low.
- a slot 72 is formed in the cutting table 70 in association with the cutting disc 54.
- the cut off edge strips 12, 13 are removed by removal devices 14 ', 15', which are each fastened to the support and bearing unit 48 and thus to the cross slide 39 by means of a holder 73.
- the displacement drive 45 and the knife drive motor are controlled by a central control unit 74 of the system.
- the cutting disc 54 is placed at an angle to the transport direction 1, the extent of the deflection, i.e. the size of the angle a depends on the one hand on the speed of the corrugated cardboard web 2 in the transport direction 1 and on the other hand the speed of the cross slide 39 in the displacement direction 41.
- the deflection of the knife disk 54 can be adjusted by the angle a by means of a servomotor, not shown, which is then also controlled by the control unit 74, for example.
- the pivoting of the knife disk 54 about the pendulum axis 50 does not necessarily have to be a free pivoting; however, the free pivotability has the advantage of requiring particularly little outlay on equipment.
