Description

Stapelbare Verpackungseinheit
Die Erfindung betrifft eine stapelbare Verpackungseinheit gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.
Bei derartigen bekannten Verpackungseinheiten sind die beim unteren Ende der Einheit liegenden Paletten Preß- spanformteile mit im wesentlichen über die Palettenebene hinweg gleichbleibender Dicke, so daß man bei den Palet¬ tenfüßen auf der Oberseite der Palette automatisch Auf¬ nahmen erhält, in welche Füße einer anderen Palette eingeführt werden können, wenn die Paletten nach Gebrauch der Verpackungseinheit gestapelt zum Ausgangsort zurück¬ transportiert werden. Die Randwandanordnung ist in der Regel aus Wellpappe hergestellt und hat in Aufsicht gesehen die Form eines Rechteckes. Die Randwandanordnung kann zum Rücktransport nach Gebrauch der Verpackungseinheit flach zusammengelegt werden. Ein auf die Randwandanordnung aufgesetzter Deckel der Verpackungseinheit besteht aus einer Preßspanplatte. Auf diesen Deckel werden beim Stapeln von Verpackungseinheiten die Füße einer anderen Verpackungseinheit aufgesetzt. Die Deckel können nach Gebrauch der Verpackungseinheit ebenfalls gestapelt und zum Ausgangsort zurücktransportiert werden.
Durch die vorliegende Erfindung soll eine stapelbare Verpackungseinheit geschaffen werden, bei welcher Palette, Randwandanordnung und Deckel weiterhin stapelbar sind, jedoch bei aufgebauter Verpackungseinheit eine Zwangs¬ positionierung einer Verpackungseinheit auf der darunter liegenden Verpackungseinheit mit einfachen Mitteln erhalten wird. Diese Aufgabe ist erfindungsgemäß gelöst durch eine stapelbare Verpackungseinheit gemäß Anspruch 1.
Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Verpackungseinheit wird als Deckel ebenfalls eine Palette verwendet, die gleiche Geometrie hat wie die untere Palette. Auf diese Weise lassen sich die oberen und unteren Endteile der Ver¬ packungseinheit unterschiedslos zusammen stapeln und gemeinsam zum Ausgangsort zurücktransportieren. Die Lagerhaltung und die Herstellkosten für die Elemente der Verpackungseinheit sind vereinfacht, da man abgesehen von der Randwandanordnung nur ein einziges weiteres Element benötigt, welches einmal die Funktion der Palette, das andere Mal die Funktion eines positionierenden Deckels erfüllt. Da die stapelbaren Paletten aufgrund ihrer
Formgebung eine hohe mechanische Festigkeit bei niederem Gewicht aufweisen, erhält man auch eine Gewichtseinspa- rung gegenüber herkömmlichen Deckeln, die einfache Ab¬ schnitte von Preßspanplatten sind.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in Unter¬ ansprüchen angegeben.
Mit der Weiterbildung der Erfindung gemäß Anspruch 2 wird ein sicheres Positionieren und Festlegen der Rand¬ wandanordnung bei deren unterem bzw. oberem Ende erhalten.
Mit der Weiterbildung der Erfindung gemäß Anspruch 3 wird erreicht, daß übereinandergestapelte Verpackungs- einheiten so weit beabstandet sind, daß die Gabel eines Gabelstaplers rasch zwischen die Füße einer Verpackungs¬ einheit bewegt werden können, ohne daß hierzu die Gabel in vertikaler Richtung sehr präzise ausgefluchtet werden müßte. Trotzdem ist gewährleistet, daß die Paletten nach Zerlegen der Verpackungseinheit dicht gestapelt für eine Wiederverwendung zurücktransportiert werden können.
Gemäß Anspruch 4 und 5 lassen sich auf einfache Weise und optisch gut erkennbar Relativpositionen zwischen aufeinanderfolgenden Paletten realisieren, in welchen die Füße der oberen Palette unterschiedlich weit in die Fußaufnahmen der darunter liegenden Palette ein¬ greifen.
Die Weiterbildung der Erfindung gemäß Anspruch 6 ist im Hinblick auf ein einfaches Erkennen der Relativlage übereinanderliegender Paletten von Vorteil.
Nachstehend wird die Erfindung anhand von Ausführungs- beispielen unter Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnung näher erläutert. In dieser zeigen:
Figur 1: einen vertikalen Schnitt durch einen Stapel von Verpackungseinheiten;
Figur 2: einen vertikalen Schnitt durch einen Paletten¬ stapel aus Paletten, die die oberen und unteren Endteile der in Figur 1 gezeigten Verpackungsein- heiten und weiterer solcher Verpackungseinheiten gebildet hatten;
Figur 3: eine Aufsicht auf die Oberseite einer Palette für eine Verpackungseinheit nach Figur 1 in vergrößertem Maßstäbe;
Figur 4: einen nochmals vergrößerten vertikalen Schnitt durch die Eckbereiche zweier übereinanderliegen¬ der Verpackungseinheiten in dem in Figur 1 gezeigten Stapel; Figur 5: eine ähnliche Ansicht wie Figur 3, in welcher eine abgewandelte Palette wiedergegeben ist; und
Figur 6: eine Aufsicht auf eine nochmals abgewandelte Palette.
In Figur 1 sind vier übereinandergestapelte Verpackungs- einheiten 10-1 bis 10-4 wiedergegeben, die jeweils aus einer Tragpalette 12, einer aus Wellpappe gefertigten Randwandanordnung 14 und einer Deckelpalette 16 bestehen. Die Randwandanordnung 14 hat vertikale Längswände 14A und hierzu im aufgefalteten Zustand senkrechte vertikale Seitenwände 14B. Die Seitenwände 14A und 14B sind an den vertikalen Stoßkanten über Faltlinien gelenkig verbunden.
Im Inneren der Verpackungseinheiten 10-i (i = 1, 2,
3, 4) sind hier nicht näher dargestellte Produkte ange- ordnet, z.B. Kühlschränke, Herde, Waschmaschinen usw. Die Produkte sind durch erste, nicht wiedergegebene Spannbänder an den Tragpaletten 12 festgelegt, die sich durch entsprechende Randausschnitte der Randwandanord¬ nung 14 oder durch Ausnehmungen 18 der Tragpaletten 12 hindurcherstrecken, wie sie in Figur 3 wiedergegeben sind.
Die Tragpaletten 12 und die Deckelpaletten 16 sind iden¬ tische Formteile aus gepreßtem Spanholz. Wie aus Figur 3 ersichtlich, sorgen in der Plattenebene verlaufende radiale Versteifungssicken 20 zusammen mit dem Paletten¬ rand benachbarten Versteifungssicken 22 für hohe Trag¬ kraft und Verwindungsfestigkeit der Paletten bei insge¬ samt nur geringer Wandstärke. In Figur 3 ist die Längsmittelebene einer Palette mit 24, die Quermittelebene mit 26 bezeichnet. In die Palette sind drei links der Längs ittelebene liegende Füße 28L, 30L und 32L sowie drei rechts der Längsmittelebene 24 liegende Füße 28R, 30R, 32R eingeformt. Deren Oberseiten geben Fußaufnahmen 34L, 36L, 38L bzw. 34R, 36R, 38R vor.
Die Füße 28 bis 32 und damit auch die Fußaufnahmen 34 bis 38 haben grob gesprochen die Form eines eine Stufe aufweisenden Walmdaches mit Hauptflächen 40, 42 und Endflächen 44, 46. Wie aus Figur 4 ersichtlich, haben die innenliegenden Hauptflächen 40 jeweils einen Absatz 48.
Die somit in sich asymmetrischen Füße 28 bis 32 und Fußaufnahmen 34 bis 38 sind nun selbst wieder an Stellen der Palette angeordnet, die bezogen auf die Längsmittel¬ ebene 24 bzw. die senkrecht auf der Zeichenebene von Figur 3 stehende Mittenachse der Palette asymmetrisch sind. In Figur 3 sind Punkte, welche symmetrische Ver- gleichslagen für die Füße 28 bis 32 bzw. die Fußaufnahmen 34 bis 38 kennzeichnen, mit 50L, 52L und 54L bzw. 50R, 52R, 54R bezeichnet.
Wie aus Figur 3 ersichtlich, sind die Füße 28L und 28R um eine Strecke X von der Referenzpunkten 50L und 50R in Auswärtsrichtung versetzt angeordnet, während die Füße 32L und 32R beim anderen Palettenende um die gleiche Strecke X von den Referenzpunkten 54L bzw. 54R nach innen versetzt sind. Der mittlere Fuß 30L ist vom Ver¬ gleichspunkt 52L nach außen versetzt, der mittlere Fuß 30R vom Vergleichspunkt 52R nach innen versetzt.
An einer der Querkanten sind die Paletten mit einer als Markierung dienenden Randausnehmung 56 versehen. Statt dessen oder zusätzlich kann man auch den entspre¬ chenden Paletten-Randabschnitt durch eine Farbschicht markieren.
Stapelt man Paletten der in Figur 3 gezeigten Geometrie so übereinander, daß ihre Randausnehmungen 56 fluchten, fluchten auch ihre Füße und Fußaufnahmen, so daß die Paletten unter geringem Abstand gestapelt werden. Ein entsprechender Palettenstapel ist in Figur 2 wiederge¬ geben, wobei Z2 die große Eingreifstrecke der Füße in die darunterliegenden Fußaufnahmen bezeichnet. Entsprechend klein ist der Abstand aufeinanderfolgender Paletten.
Stapelt man Paletten dagegen so übereinander, daß eine mit einer Randausnehmung 56 versehene Seitenkante mit einer ausnehmungsfreien Seitenkante fluchtet (d.h. ist die obere Palette um 180° gegenüber der unteren Palette verdreht) , so stehen die Füße der darüberliegenden Palette gerade auf den Absätzen 48 der darunterliegenden Palette, d.h. man hat die in Figur 4 gezeigten Verhältnisse. Diese Beziehung liegt zwischen den Tragpaletten 12 und den Deckelpaletten 16 der in Figur 1 gezeigten Verpackungs¬ einheiten 10 vor. ZI bezeichnet die kleine Eingreifstrecke der Füße in die darunterliegenden Fußaufnahmen. Entspre¬ chend erhält man einen großen Abstand zwischen den Deckel¬ paletten 16 und den darüberliegenden Tragpaletten 12 der nächsten Verpackungseinheit.
Vorzugsweise ist die Konizität der Füße und die Material¬ stärke der Paletten so angepaßt, daß man auch bei fluch¬ tender Ausrichtung der Randausnehmungen 56, d.h. in einem Stapel gleich ausgerichteter Paletten, wie er in Figur 2 gezeigt ist, einen Abstand zwischen aufeinan- derfolgenden Paletten hat, der gerade noch das Einführen der Gabel eines Gabelstaplers ermöglicht. In der Praxis beträgt dieser Abstand etwa 15 mm. Auf diese Weise ist es auch möglich, unter Aufwendung besonderer Aufmerksamkeit solche Verpackungseinheiten noch mit dem Gabelstapler zu trennen, bei denen eine Deckelpalette oder eine Trag¬ palette versehentlich in falscher Ausrichtung montiert wurde.
Wie aus Figur 3 und 4 ersichtlich, haben die Oberseiten der Paletten 12 und 16 eine in Aufsicht gesehen beim
Palettenrand verlaufende Nut 58 zur Aufnahme von unteren Enden einer Randwandanordnung 14. Die Unterseiten haben eine hiermit fluchtende Nut 60 zur Aufnahme von oberen Enden einer Randwandanordnung 14. Die Wänder der Nuten 58, 60 sind etwas schräg gestellt, um das Einführen des Well- pappenmateriales zu erleichtern.
Das schematisch wiedergegebene Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Figur 5 unterscheidet sich von demjenigen nach Figur 3 und 4 dadurch, daß die Strecke X so groß gewählt ist, daß der Absatz 48 außerhalb der Füße 28 bis 32 liegt und den Boden separater flacher Fußaufnahmen 62L, 62R, 64L, 64R, 66L und 66R bildet.
Würde man die Palette nach Figur 5 an der Längsmittelebene 24 zusammenfalten, so überlappten sich die Paare von Fußaufnahmen 62L, 62R usw. nicht, auch nicht die Paare von Füßen 28L, 28R usw.. Man hat jedoch eine Überlappung zwischen jeweils einem Fuß und einer Fußaufnahme, z.B. 28L und 62R.
Beim Ausführungsbeispiel nach Figur 6 sind vier etwas von den Ecken nach innen versetzte Palettenfüße 28L, 28R und 32L sowie 32R vorgesehen. Deren Oberseiten bilden wieder Fußaufnahmen 34L, 34R und 38L, 38R, in welche Füße einer darüberliegenden Palette weitgehend Aufnahme finden können, so daß die Paletten wieder zu einem Stapel geschichtet werden können, wie er in Figur 2 gezeigt ist.
In die Oberseite der Paletten sind wieder weitere flache Fußaufnahmen 62L, 62R, 64L, 64R eingeformt, die einen untersten Abschnitt der Füße 28 und 32 aufnehmen können, wenn die obere Palette um 90° gedreht wird. Die Fußauf- nahmen 52 und 64 sind verglichen mit den Fußaufnahmen 34 und 38 flach. Unter Verwendung der in Figur 6 gezeigten Paletten werden ähnliche Verpackungseinheiten zusammenge¬ baut, wie sie in Figur 1 gezeigt sind. Zum Übereinander- stapeln der verschiedenen Verpackungseinheiten werden diese aber jeweils um 90° gedreht, so daß man zwischen den Verpackungseinheiten wieder größere Zwischenräume erhält, in welche die Gabeln eines Gabelstaplers rleicht eingeführt werden können.
Es versteht sich, daß man flache weitere Fußaufnahmen wie die Fußaufnahmen 62 und 64 von Figur 6 auch unter kleinerem Winkelabstand, dafür in größerer Anzahl vor¬ sehen kann. Die Verpackungseinheiten 10-i werden dann um diese kleineren Winkel gegeneinander versetzt über- einandergestapelt, so daß man einen schraubenförmigen Stapel erhält.
Aus der obenstehenden Beschreibung von Ausführungsbei- spielen werden folgende Eigenschaften der erfindungs- gemäßen Verpackungseinheit deutlich:
Die aufgebaute Verpackungseinheit umschließt ein großes Volumen und kann auch schwere Gegenstände aufnehmen. Ihre nur zwei verschiedenen Elemente (Palette, Randwandanordnung) sind aber für sich einfach stapelbar und kompakt zur Wieder- Verwendung zurückzusenden.
Da Bodenteil und Deckelteil identisch sind, ist die Lagerhaltung vereinfacht; durch die höheren Stückzahlen ist ein niedriger Einzelpreis für dieses Teil möglich.
Die aufgenommenen Güter sind insbesondere auch gegen fallende Gegenstände gut geschützt, da das Deckelteil ebenfalls eine Palette ist und daher hohe mechanische Festigkeit aufweist.
Die hohe mechanische Festigkeit des Decktelteiles (gleich gut wie die der Tragpalette) erlaubt ein gefahrloses Über- einanderstapeln einer größeren Anzahl von Verpackungsein- heiten, die in der Praxis mit Inhalt ca. lt wiegen können. Anders als bei Karton-Deckelteile aufweisenden Verpackungs¬ einheiten brauchen zur Erzielung solcher Stapeleigenschaften im Inneren der Verpackungseinheit keinerlei Versteifungen in Form von Stützbalken oder dgl. vorgesehen zu werden. Der volle Innenraum steht für den Benutzer zur Verfügung.
Die Zwischenräume zwischen übereinandergestapelten Ver¬ packungseinheiten, in welche Gabelstaplerzinken zum Ein- und Auslagern oder zum Transportieren eingreifen, sind nach oben und nach unten dμrch hartes Material begrenzt, nämlich jeweils durch eine Palette. Damit ist gegenüber Verpackungseinheiten, die eine Palette und einen auf dieser angebrachten Karton umfassen, die Gefahr einer Beschädigung der Verpackung herabgesetzt, die dort besteht, wenn die Gabelstaplerzinken nicht exakt vertikal auf die Palettenunterseite eingestellt werden oder beim Kippen der Gabelführung ein Druck auf die Oberseite der unter der zu bewegenden Verpackungseinheit liegenden Verpak- kungseinheit ausgeübt wird. Derart beschädigte Verpak- kungseinheiten geben beim Verbraucher ein ungünstiges Bild des Herstellers ab und führen auch zu Besorgnis bezüglich nicht sichtbarer Transportschäden.
Durch den mechanisch festen oberen Abschluß der Verpak- kungseinheit und die damit stark verminderte Gefahr einer auch nur visuell nachteiligen Beschädigung der in der Praxis oft aus Wellpappe gefertigten Randwandanordnung kann man die Randwandanordnung auch häufiger wiederver¬ wenden. Optisch nicht mehr einwandfreie Randwandanord- nungen werden dagegen im Hinblick auf das Firmenimage weitgehend nicht akzeptiert.
Die erfindungsgemäße Verpackungseinheit besteht auch aus Elementen, die in der Praxis (Preßspanpaletten und Wellpappe-Randwandanordnung) bei Europalettenabmessung und etwa Im Höhe alle größenordnungsmäßig nur ca. 5 bis 10 kg wiegen und somit ohne Hilfmittel einfach von Hand be¬ wegbar sind.
Die Paletten und die Randwandanordnung sind jeweils preis¬ günstige Teile. Bei etwaiger Beschädigung sind sie zudem jeweils problemlos selbst wieder zu recyclen oder zu entsorgen.
Obwohl bei den oben beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispielen die Paletten Formteile aus Preßspanmaterial (zerspantes Restholz gebunden durch auskondensiertes Harnstoff arz) waren, versteht es sich, daß man die bezüglich der Stape¬ lung der Verpackungseinheiten und der Paletten für sich beschriebenen Vorteile gleichermaßen erhält, wenn die Paletten aus einem anderen wiederstandsfähigen Material z.B. Blech aus Stahl oder Aluminium gefertigt werden.
Für die Randwandanordnung kann man anstelle von ein- oder mehrlagiger Wellpappe auch Waben-Pappematerial oder Metall-, Holz- oder Kunststoff-Wabenmaterial verwenden. Wichtig ist nur, daß das Randwandmaterial eine ausreichende Knickfestigkeit und Wetterfestigkeit aufweist.

Claims

Ansprüche
1. Stapelbare Verpackungseinheit mit einer unteren
Palette (12) , einer von dieser getragenen Randwand¬ anordnung (14) und einem von der letzteren getragenen Deckelteil, wobei die Palette (12) ihrerseits ein stapel¬ bares Formteil ist, welches in seiner Oberseite Fußauf- nahmen (34 bis 38) aufweist, in welche die Füße einer darüberliegenden Palette einführbar sind, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß das Deckelteil durch eine obere Palette (16) gebildet ist, die gleiche Form aufweist wie die untere Palette (12) und die mit nach unten hängenden Füßen (28 bis 32) auf die Randwandanordnung (14) aufgesetzt ist.
2. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Oberseiten und die Unterseiten der Paletten (12, 16) mit fluchtenden Mitteln (58, 60) zum Positionieren und Festlegen der oberen bzw. unteren Enden der Randwandanordnung (14) versehen sind.
3. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Füße (28 bis 32) der Paletten (12, 16) und/oder die Fußaufnahmen (34 bis 38) der Palet¬ ten (12, 16) bezüglich einer Symmetrieebene (24) der Paletten (12, 16) oder bezüglich der senkrecht auf der Palettenebene stehenden Palettenmittenachse derart asym¬ metrisch ausgebildet sind, daß die Füße (28 bis 32) einer ersten Palette (12) in darunterliegende Fußaufnahmen (34 bis 38) einer zweiten Palette (16) in einer ersten Relativ¬ stellung der beiden Paletten um eine erste Strecke (ZI) eingreifen und in einer zweiten Relativstellung um eine zweite, von der ersten Strecke verschiedene Strecke (Z2) eingreifen.
4. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Füße (28 bis 32) und die Fußauf¬ nahmen (34 bis 38) der Paletten (12, 16) Absätze (48) aufweisen, die von der Palettenmittelebene (24) paarweise unterschiedlichen Abstand (X) aufweisen.
5. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Paletten (12, 16) in Paletten- achsen-Winkelrichtung versetzte Fußaufnahmen (34, 38, 62, 64) unterschiedlicher Tiefe aufweisen.
6. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 4 oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mindestens eine der Paletten- kanten mit einer Markierung (56) versehen ist.
