Description

The invention relates to a method for assembling and installing a drainage channel for street, courtyard or building surface drainage consisting of a plurality of channel sections to be joined at the end face. In the course of the demand for sealing all types of drainage objects against the ingress of liquids into the subsurface or the substructure, drainage channels must also be recorded as part of this system. Drainage channels of this type are currently either either loosely plugged together or sealed with a grout, which, however, either only adheres briefly to the end faces or is crushed by subsidence and vibrations.

From EP-A-0 016 837 it is known to provide the end faces of the channel sections with recesses and to use seals there which, during assembly, bear against the respectively adjacent end face. This type of sealing assembly is not yet optimal because the mating surface for the seal may be too rough.

The object of ensuring a permanently tight connection of the channel sections is achieved according to the invention in that the end faces of the channel sections are immersed in or coated with a solidifying impregnating agent which improves the adhesion of the seal, that the channel sections are then rigidly connected to one another and that finally a permanently elastic joint sealing compound is introduced into the grooves of the assembled drainage channel.

A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in using a joint sealing compound consisting of two components which react with one another. In this case, the two components can each be accommodated in one end face in such a way that they only react with one another and fill the recess at the moment the channel sections are assembled.

In order to be able to maintain the deformation and thus the sealing force over the entire installation period, the channel sections must be rigidly locked or connected to one another. For this purpose, the channel sections at the upper end can interact in pairs Have hooking or threading. At the bottom, the channel sections have elements for rigid connection or locking. Instead of this hook and bolt connection, a screw flange connection can also be provided.

Further details of the method according to the invention emerge from the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings, which are described in detail below.

According to Fig. 1/2, the groove sections 1, 2 to be assembled have a tongue and groove connection 3, 4 on the end faces, but a groove 9 remains between the mating surfaces, which is filled with a permanently elastic joint sealing compound 5 in the installed state. To fill the mass, a filling hole 6 (FIG. 2) is provided which runs through the steel frame 7 which is recessed at this point and serves as a support for the grate (not shown). The grate can be screwed to the frame (screw holes 8).

In order to give the joint sealant 5 better adhesion, the end faces of the channel sections are soaked or coated with an impregnating compound before assembly, which has good adhesion for the joint sealant. As a result, the rough surface of concrete and reinforced concrete channels is closed and smoothed and prepared for the adhesion of the joint sealant.

In the gutter design according to FIG. 3, there is no longer a filling opening, but only a groove 9 running over the entire gutter height, which is half in one of the two gutter sections 1 ', 2'. On the channel bottom, this groove is widened on both sides in a chamber 10, 10 'in which the two components of the sealing compound are located. The chambers 10, 10 'are closed by thin membranes (encapsulations) which are pierced at the moment of assembly, so that the components can react with one another and fill the groove with foams. It is expedient to connect the channel sections 1 ', 2' here at least temporarily with tabs 11, 12, since the foaming joint sealant exerts a certain pressure. The lock according to FIGS. 4/5, 6, which consists of an upper hook / eye connection 13, 14 and a lower lock catch 15, 16, is also suitable for connecting the channel sections 1 ″, 2 ″. The channel sections are first hooked in at the top and then tipped down until they snap into place. In this way, the channel sections are already firmly connected to one another at the moment when the sealing compound reacts.

Another possibility of connecting the channel sections to one another is screw flanges that surround the outside of the end faces. Instead of the screw, a snap lock can be provided, which accelerates the assembly. The groove for the introduction of the solidifying sealant lies in the flanges themselves.
