Definitions
- the invention relates to an automatically coupling pull coupling for rail vehicles having side buffers, with a coupling head arranged approximately centrally between the side buffers at each rail vehicle end, the coupling level of the coupling head and the buffer level of the side buffers being at least approximately in one plane.
- the above-mentioned DE-OS proposes a specific design for the cushioning of the draw clutch in such a way that it does not disadvantageously change the characteristics of the side buffers. From DE-OS 36 00 843 and the unpublished patent application P 37 10 030 it is further known to solve the above-mentioned problem in that the coupling heads can be pushed back from their position in front of the buffer level to the buffer level and then in keep this depressed position automatically, whereby the undesirable longitudinal play is switched off.
- the invention has for its object to show a further way in which the problem described above can be solved in a simple manner and with little effort.
- auxiliary tow coupling the coupling level of which is located in front of the buffer level and which, in the coupled state, is designed to enable two coupling heads to be coupled to be coupled at least approximately without counterforce, at least until the coupling process has been completed.
- This configuration ensures that when two rail vehicles approach in a curved track, the auxiliary train coupling couples before or when contacting the side buffers on the inside of the curve, whereby tensile forces can already be transmitted between the two rail vehicles. If the rail vehicles coupled in this way reach a straight track section, they can be brought together under slight pressure until the coupling is coupled, for example when the side buffers are contacted on both sides. A complete clutch condition is thus achieved.
- the subclaims provide advantageous design options for a train coupling designed according to the invention.
- Fig.1 the side buffers 1,1 'and 2,2' of two rail vehicles located in a track curve, otherwise not shown, are shown, the inner side buffers 1,1 'abutting one another, while the outer side buffers 2,2' are another have a considerable distance from each other.
- the dash-dotted lines 3,3 ' illustrate the buffer levels of the two rail vehicles.
- At the end faces of both rail vehicles are coupled coupling rods 4.4 'coupling heads 5.5' of an automatically coupling pull coupling.
- the coupling heads 5.5 ' can be any, the same design, for example, they can in principle correspond to the Willison design.
- the coupling heads 5 and 5 ' are each arranged approximately centrally between the side buffers 1 and 2 or 1' and 2 'of the respective rail vehicle such that their coupling level 6 or 6' is located approximately in the buffer level 3 or 3 '.
- a tab-like tension member 9 or 9' is articulated, which hangs vertically in the unused state under the influence of gravity.
- the articulation of the tension members 9.9 ' is designed with play such that the tension members 9.9' in the raised state from the longitudinal direction 10.10 'of the coupling heads 5.5' can be deflected laterally to a limited extent and, moreover, by means of a slot-like design of their the bolt 7.7 'penetrated openings are limited longitudinally displaceable due to the longitudinal play 11, 11'.
- the tension members 9,9 ' are each provided with an eyelet 12,12', by means of which they can be suspended from the respective other coupling head 5 ', 5 at approximately horizontally projecting position in pulling hooks 13,13'.
- the pull hooks 13, 13 ' are around vertical bolts 14, 14' on the Coupling heads 5.5 'rotatably articulated and are each rotatably loaded by a spring 15.15' such that they protrude laterally from the coupling head 5.5 'laterally opposite the bolt 7.7'.
- the pull hooks 13, 13 ' are each connected to a feeler lever 16, 16', the free end of which, in the idle state, protrude into a space to be occupied by the counter coupling head 5 ', 5 during a coupling operation; during the coupling process, the feeler lever 16, 16 'is displaced from this space, whereby in each case it swivels the pull hook 13, 13' against the force of the spring 15, 15 'about the bolt 14, 14' such that the pull hook 13, 13 ' in an interior of the coupling head 5.5 'swings, whereby it must in any case emerge from an eyelet 12', 12.
- the two rail vehicles can be moved together until these levels coincide in a common plane, again a coupling process between the coupling heads 5 and 5 ' takes place, the approximation process is in turn taken by pushing back the tension member 9 'relative to the bolt 7' within the framework of the game 11 '.
- the pulling hooks 13,13' are pivoted into the respective coupling head 5,5 'against the forces of the springs 15,15' by displacing the feeler levers 16,16 ', the pulling hook 13 out of the eye 12 'emerges and the tension member 9' falls under gravity into its vertical, from the bolt 7 'hanging down rest position.
- the tension members 9,9 'with the bolts 7,7' and the pull hooks 13,13 ' represent two auxiliary coupling couplings which can be coupled independently of one another and which have coupling levels located in front of the buffer level 3, 3' and one of them and one of them other to the other side of the coupling heads 5.5 'is arranged.
- push button 17 On the coupling head 5 a parallel to the longitudinal direction 10 push button 17 is provided, which is loaded by a spring 18 in the feed direction into a space when coupling from the mating coupling head 5 '.
- the rear end of the feeler lever 17 is coupled via an angle lever 19 which is rotatably mounted in the coupling head 5 to an ejection lever 20 which extends approximately horizontally to the side, is guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner and ends close to the tension member 9 before its articulation point on the bolt 7.
- the attachment of the tension member 9 in the pull hook of the mating coupling head is not hindered by this device as long as the coupling heads 5 and 5 'are spaced from each other.
- the feeler lever 17 is pushed back, whereby it moves the eject lever 20 to the side via the angle lever 19 and the latter swings the tension member 9 to the side within the scope of its play, so that its eyelet 12 is removed from the pulling hook of the mating coupling head slides and is thus uncoupled from it.
- the function corresponds to that of the exemplary embodiment described above.
- the eyelet 12, 12 ' can be formed like an elongated hole, the longitudinal play 11, 11' is thus shifted to the eyelet 12, 12 'and can be omitted in the region of the bolt 7, 7'. It is also possible to form the tension member 9, 9 'not hook-like, but hook-like, wherein in the coupling state the hook section overlaps the hook 13, 13' and is hooked to it. With this version, no special precautions have to be taken with regard to longitudinal play.
- the auxiliary pull coupling can also be designed to be automatically coupling, for example according to FIG. 2, in which an auxiliary pull coupling is shown shortly before its coupling operation is.
- a tab-like tension member 22 which extends approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction 10 and is provided with an eyelet 23, is rotatably articulated on its one side about a vertical bolt 21.
- a spring 24 holds the tension member 22 elastically deflectable in this position by resilient contact with a stop 25.
- the front end of the tension member 22 is angled to the side so that it has a run-up slope 26.
- the pull hook 27 ' is fixedly arranged on the mating coupling head 5', it stands just before the coupling process on the inside of the coupling heads 5.5 'before the run-up slope 26.
- the push hook 27 ' presses by starting the bevel 26 the pulling member 22 against the force of the spring 24 to the side until it clicks into the eyelet 23, the pulling member 22 rotating again into the position shown.
- the auxiliary train clutch on the inside of the curve is now coupled.
- a device corresponding to parts 17 to 20 according to FIG. 1 can be provided on the coupling head 5 on the coupling head 5 according to FIG. disengages and holds in this position until the coupling heads 5 and 5 'are separated again.
- a different type of decoupling device for the auxiliary pull coupling can also be selected, for example a decoupling device which can be actuated together with the actuating or locking gear of the coupling head 5 when it is set in the decoupling position and which, when actuated, pivots the tension member 22 to the side as described.
- a coupling device to the other coupling head 5 ' which can be formed, for example, as a plunger and also causes its decoupling device to pivot its pulling element, not shown in FIG. 2, for decoupling to the side. This ensures that when adjusting only one actuating linkage or adjusting a locking gear of the coupled coupling heads 5,5 'in the unlocked position, both tension members are moved into their uncoupling positions.
- auxiliary pull coupling instead of the two-way coupling, which is to be arranged above or below the coupling heads approximately in the central longitudinal plane.
- an auxiliary pull coupling can have horizontal hook members 28, 28 'held in the vertical central longitudinal plane of the coupling heads, the hook portions of which protrude beyond the coupling plane 6, 6'. During the coupling process in the track curve, these hook members 28, 28 'then hook, making tensile forces between the rail vehicles can be transmitted.
- a horizontal support plate 29 can be provided on which the hook member 28 'of the other coupling head rests in the coupled state; with further approach of the coupled coupling heads in a straight track section, the two hook members 28 and 28 'move relative to each other until the hook section of the hook member 28 slides from the rear end of the support plate 29 and falls vertically, the two hook members 28 and 28' uncoupling.
- a chain as a tension member of the mutual or middle auxiliary tension coupling, by means of which the coupling heads can be connected manually; the uncoupling process can also be carried out manually or automatically or by means of a pulling hook that can be pivoted back.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an automatically coupling pull coupling for rail vehicles having side buffers, with a coupling head arranged approximately centrally between the side buffers at each rail vehicle end, the coupling level of the coupling head and the buffer level of the side buffers being at least approximately in one plane.
For automatically coupling train couplings of side buffers having rail vehicles, the problem of coupling vehicles located in a curved track is known; reference is made to DE-OS 36 15 599. This problem is to be seen in the fact that in vehicles located in the curve, the side buffers on the inside of the curve already come into mutual contact, while the side buffers on the outside of the curve are still a considerable distance apart. If the train coupling is to be coupled without requiring the side buffers to be compressed with great effort, it has previously been customary to place the coupling plane of the train coupling in front of the buffer level of the side buffers in such a way that the train coupling already couples two rail vehicles in the state described above . When transmitting pressure forces in straight sections of the route, the pull couplings must then generally be pushed back against spring forces; longitudinal vehicle vibrations in the train set can make this possible Longitudinal play occur. To remedy or alleviate this deficiency, the above-mentioned DE-OS proposes a specific design for the cushioning of the draw clutch in such a way that it does not disadvantageously change the characteristics of the side buffers.
The invention has for its object to show a further way in which the problem described above can be solved in a simple manner and with little effort.
This object is achieved for a tow coupling of the type mentioned according to the invention by at least one auxiliary tow coupling, the coupling level of which is located in front of the buffer level and which, in the coupled state, is designed to enable two coupling heads to be coupled to be coupled at least approximately without counterforce, at least until the coupling process has been completed. This configuration ensures that when two rail vehicles approach in a curved track, the auxiliary train coupling couples before or when contacting the side buffers on the inside of the curve, whereby tensile forces can already be transmitted between the two rail vehicles. If the rail vehicles coupled in this way reach a straight track section, they can be brought together under slight pressure until the coupling is coupled, for example when the side buffers are contacted on both sides. A complete clutch condition is thus achieved.
According to the further invention, the subclaims provide advantageous design options for a train coupling designed according to the invention.
In the drawings Fig. 1 to Fig. 3, different embodiments for train couplings designed according to the invention are shown schematically.
3′ befindet. In Fig.1, the side buffers 1,1 'and 2,2' of two rail vehicles located in a track curve, otherwise not shown, are shown, the inner side buffers 1,1 'abutting one another, while the outer side buffers 2,2' are another have a considerable distance from each other. The dash-dotted lines 3,3 'illustrate the buffer levels of the two rail vehicles. At the end faces of both rail vehicles are coupled coupling rods 4.4 'coupling heads 5.5' of an automatically coupling pull coupling. The coupling heads 5.5 'can be any, the same design, for example, they can in principle correspond to the Willison design. The
The coupling heads 5 and 5 'each have a
When two rail vehicles to be coupled approach a track curve, they come into mutual contact with their side buffers 1.1 'on the inside of the curve, their buffer levels 3.3' and coupling levels 6.6 'diverging towards the outside of the curve, as can be seen in Fig. 1 . The coupling heads 5.5 'have an exclusion of their coupling from each other. For coupling in this state, the tension member 9 'is pivoted into its horizontal, forwardly projecting position on the inside of the curve and hung with its eyelet 12' in the tension hook 13 of the
During the coupling process of the
The remaining coupling and uncoupling processes take place in a customary and known manner, and therefore do not have to be described.
When the track curve is curved in the opposite direction, the tension member 9 is of course hooked into the hook 13 'with its
It should be noted that the tension members 9,9 'with the
In a modification of the embodiment described above, it is also possible to rigidly attach the pull hooks 13, 13 'to the
On the coupling head 5 a parallel to the
In a further modification, the
In a further modification, the auxiliary pull coupling can also be designed to be automatically coupling, for example according to FIG. 2, in which an auxiliary pull coupling is shown shortly before its coupling operation is. On the
In a further modification, it is also possible to provide only an auxiliary pull coupling instead of the two-way coupling, which is to be arranged above or below the coupling heads approximately in the central longitudinal plane. According to FIG. 3, such an auxiliary pull coupling can have
In a further modification, it is also possible to use a chain as a tension member of the mutual or middle auxiliary tension coupling, by means of which the coupling heads can be connected manually; the uncoupling process can also be carried out manually or automatically or by means of a pulling hook that can be pivoted back.
