Definitions
- the invention relates to a dewatering scoop wheel, which is rotatably mounted in a trough, for systems for sand preparation, in which the cups arranged on the circumference of the scoop wheel pass through the trough loaded with the sand / water mixture, in which the bottoms of the cups act as slotted screens for the Drainage of the water entrained from the tub are formed, and in which, at the bottom of each cup, there is a chamber defined by sheets running perpendicular to the side walls of the scoop wheel, which extends towards the wheel interior and is open at its end facing the wheel interior .
- the extracted material is usually first fed to a sieving machine, which sorts the material by size, and then the sieved fine-grained material is fed to a bucket wheel arrangement, in which the material is washed and then separated from the water.
- the mixture of sand and water is introduced into a trough in which a bucket wheel with cups arranged on its circumference slowly rotates, the cups continuously absorbing the water-sand mixture.
- the entrained water when the cups leave the tub, can flow back into the tub.
- the beakers then release the sand, which is largely freed of water, to a conveyor line.
- a gravel drainage device is known with a scoop dipping into a scoop with scoops distributed over the circumference, in which a chamber defined by sheets extending perpendicularly to the side walls of the scoop wheel adjoins the bottom of each cup, which extends towards the inside of the wheel and is open at its end facing the inside of the wheel.
- the sheets only have the function of water drainage plates which have legs bent at their lower ends in such a way that the water can be drained off to one side and exits through cutouts in the side wall of the scoop wheel without returning to the tub.
- the invention has for its object to provide a dewatering bucket of the type mentioned, with which disruptive components during the dewatering of the sand can be easily removed.
- the chambers are formed by spiral, completely delimited by the side walls of the scoop wheel, one end of which is attached to the inside of the scoop wheel side of the associated bottom and the other end on one predetermined radius of the scoop wheel ends that a plurality of injector devices are arranged in the trough below the water level so that a medium can be injected with them into the open ends of the chambers passing them in the direction of the bottoms of the cups assigned to the chambers, and that the Injection into a chamber is interrupted as soon as the surface of the emerging cup belonging to the chamber reaches a predetermined height above the water level, while at least the subsequent chamber, preferably the three subsequent chambers, remain pressurized with the medium that the injection is so severe eating is that an upflow occurs in the affected beakers and that means are provided for laterally removing the surface water formed by the upflow in the beakers with impurities floating therein.
- the means for removing the surface water contain a second plate bridging the fastening point of the plate on the bottom of the cup, which connects with the side walls of the scoop wheel, the end region of the first plate pointing towards its interior, and one at the fastening point of the first
- the adjacent sieve area forms a second chamber, smaller than the first chamber, which is provided with a lateral drain.
- the area of the sieve which adjoins the attachment point of the first sheet and opens into the second chamber is provided with a larger sieve gap width than the area of the sieve which opens into the first chamber. In this way, the surface water with the contaminants can quickly flow into the second chamber.
- At least one overflow channel in the tub with an outflow leading to the outside, which is arranged to be height-adjustable or pivotable. This makes it possible to influence the amount of fine sand to be separated out.
- Water is preferably used as the injected medium. However, air can be used instead.
- the ends of the outwardly facing sides of the bottoms 6 end in a cutting edge 9, by which the absorption of the sand from the tub 1 is facilitated.
- a solid sheet 17 is attached, the end of which is connected to the cutting edge 9 of the cup following in the circumferential direction.
- a sheet 10 is attached to the inwardly facing side of the shelves 6.
- the sheets 10 run spirally towards the inside of the scoop wheel and all end on the same radius 11 of the scoop wheel.
- the plates 10 form with the side boundary walls 12 under each of the floors 6 a chamber 13 which is open at its inner end.
- the bottoms 6 are designed in a known manner as slotted screens, the areas of the bottoms which extend from the cutting edge 9 to the fastening point 14 of the sheets 10 have a gap width which allows the water which has been carried along to flow away easily from the cups 3 while the gap width of the area 16 of the bottoms from the attachment point 14 to its connection to the sheet 17 is substantially larger than in the area opening into the chambers 13.
- the area 16 provided with the larger gap width opens into a small chamber 18, which is formed by a sheet 19 bridging the attachment point 14, the boundary walls 12 of the scoop wheel 2, the area 16 of the bottom 6 and the upper end of the sheet 10.
- the small chambers 18 are each provided with a drain 20 which opens into a channel, not shown, outside the boundary walls 12 of the scoop wheel 2.
- the supply pipes are connected to a water supply via controllable valves 23.
- the valves allow the amount and pressure of the water injected from the nozzles 21 into the chambers 13 to be adjusted. In any case, the setting is carried out in such a way that the injected water reaches the cups 3 and, as a result, an upflow is generated in them, through which contaminants, which are lighter than the sand, float.
- the nozzle arrangement is carried out in such a way that the upflow is generated in the cups which stand before emerging from the water level 7, the injection into a chamber 13 being interrupted as soon as the surface of the cup belonging to this chamber is a predetermined height above the water level 7 reached.
- the surface water with the floating undesirable constituents such as wood, coal etc. can, after emerging, flow through the screen area 16 with the large gap width into the associated small chamber 18 and be discharged from there via the side drain 20.
- a stationary nozzle arrangement 24, fed with water or air, which is directed laterally onto the surface of the cup that appears in each case, can assist the flow into the chamber 18.
- a sieve width of approximately 6 mm in the region 16 of the trays 6 has proven to be suitable, while the sieve width in the remaining region of the trays is approximately 1 mm.
- the number of the chambers 13 acted upon by the nozzles 21 depends on the respective circumstances and can be selected and adapted accordingly by means of the valves 23.
- the level of the water level can be kept constant by a simple overflow, but control devices can also be provided which control the valves 23 or pumps.
- an overflow is provided in the form of two overflow channels 25 which are located opposite one another Sides are arranged inside the tub 1, and from which a drain pipe 26 leads to the outside.
- the troughs 25 are mounted adjustable in height.
- the overflow channels 25 are each pivotably mounted about a horizontal axis 27 extending perpendicularly to their longitudinal extent, which is also the axis of the drain connector 26.
- the pivot axis 27 with the drain port 26 is arranged near one end of the overflow channel. In the normal position, the upper edges of the overflow channels run horizontally. In this position the water level is at its highest and the water overflows along the entire length of the overflow channels. In this case, little fine sand is excreted.
- the overflow channels are lowered by swiveling about their axes 27 at the end opposite the discharge nozzle. This lowers the water level.
- the water overflow no longer takes place along the entire length of the channels, but only on a section. In this area the flow velocity of the water is correspondingly higher, so that more fine sand is separated out.
- the pivoting movement should be synchronized.
- the means for executing the pivoting movement can be of any design.
- the free end of the overflow channels 25 can be lowered and raised mechanically, hydraulically or pneumatically.
- a simple solution is indicated in Fig. 1.
- a spindle 28 is rotatably mounted, which is adjustable in its axial direction by means of a handwheel 29, which is supported on a stationary plate 30, preferably connected to the tub 1, and thereby the overflow channel 25 about the axis 27 pivots.
- the medium supplied to the nozzles 21 is preferably water, but instead it would also be possible to effect the desired upward flow of the undesired constituents of the sand by air.
