Abstract

The invention relates to a dewatering scoop wheel for sand dressing plants, in which the buckets (3) arranged along the circumference of the scoop wheel (2) run through a trough (1) filled with the sand-water mixture, and in which the floors (6) of the buckets (3) are constructed as bar sieves for the running off of the water carried away from the trough. The invention provides that a chamber (13) connects to the floor (6) of each bucket, said chamber extending in the direction of the inside of the wheel and being open at its free end, that a plurality of injector devices (21) are arranged fixedly in the trough (1) below the water level (1) in such a way that with these a medium can be injected into the open ends of the chambers (13) running past them, in the direction of the floors (6) of the buckets (3) assigned to the chambers (13) and only those chambers can be fed with the medium whose assigned buckets are not yet below the water level (7) or are just emerging from the water level, the injection being dimensioned to be of such a strength that in the buckets (3) affected an up-current arises, and that means are provided to lead away laterally the surface water, with impurities washed into it, formed by the up-current in the buckets, before said surface water can flow through the floors into the chambers. <IMAGE>
