Definitions
- the invention relates to an electromagnetic relay with a coil-carrying coil body with an axis running parallel to the connection plane of the relay, with winding support wires being fastened in the coil flanges, with a core inserted into the coil body in the axial direction, with an angular yoke, the first leg of which has a core end is coupled and the second leg extends parallel to the coil axis next to the winding, with a flat armature mounted on the free end of the second yoke leg, which forms a working air gap with the free core end, with a leaf spring attached to the armature, which with a reset leg supports the bearing the armature opposite the yoke and interacts with at least one contact spring leg with at least one mating contact element, and with a connecting element which is electrically conductively connected to the leaf spring, the coil former being arranged on a separately produced base, in which connection elements for the coil winding and for the contact elements are fixed and wherein the winding support wires on the underside of the
- Such a relay is known from DE-OS 34 28 595.
- the connection elements designed as flat plugs are essentially anchored in the base and subsequently connected to the associated electrical elements in the coil former.
- the manufacture of this relay can only be partially automated, since, for example, the leaf spring connected to the armature must be connected to its associated connecting element in the base via a wire.
- this relay as with other known relays of this type, it is necessary to align the construction of the coil body and the base with the type of contact elements used.
- Schaltre Lais of this type which are preferably used in automotive engineering, however, there are different requirements for the contact unit for the respective application.
- the object of the invention is to construct a relay of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be manufactured with simpler parts and simpler operations, these operations can be carried out largely automatically and different contact assemblies with otherwise unchanged design of the base and Coil body can be used.
- this object is achieved in that a separately manufactured connecting bracket for the leaf spring is attached to the second yoke leg, which lies flat on the yoke leg with a first section, with a substantially right-angled second section, which includes the end of the armature mounted on the yoke edge and with a third section extended to the underside of the relay and guided through a plug-in shaft of the base forms the connection element for the leaf spring and that the base has a plurality of plug-in shafts which can be optionally fitted for different types of mating contact elements.
- the manufacture for the most varied types of contact assemblies is thus simplified and made accessible to automation. This is due on the one hand to the fact that only one type of base and coil body is necessary for all types of contact assemblies, while at the same time due to the general division of the overall relay into A base assembly, a coil assembly and an armature assembly enable automated production, since each of these three assemblies can be automatically prefabricated and then automatically combined with the other assemblies.
- the armature with its leaf spring and its own armature connection angle can be welded together in the prefabrication, this armature connection angle then being welded automatically onto the yoke and the armature assembly together with the coil assembly can thus be inserted into the base without having to be subsequently added contact between anchor and base must be carried out.
- the restoring leg of the leaf spring is expediently designed in the form of a frame, a fastening tongue projecting into the frame from the free end being fastened to the second section of the connection bracket.
- This shape of the frame results in a large spring length for the return leg, which return leg can also be angled if necessary in accordance with the bending of the connection angle. This allows the spring characteristic to be made even softer.
- these coil connection elements expediently each have an angled support web on their upper side in the region of the relay outer sides. As a result, these connection points are easily accessible for welding devices. At the same time, components that are accommodated in corresponding chambers of the base can also be welded on in parallel or in series with the coil winding.
- the base of the relay is designed so that different types of contact assemblies without constructi ve change of the base can be accommodated.
- two plug-in shafts are accommodated in the base in such a way that a normally open mating contact element and in the other a normally closed mating contact element can be anchored.
- the break contact counter element is angled and guided in channels of the base in such a way that it comes into a position opposite the make counter contact element.
- a further closer counter contact element or a second connection element for a single closer counter contact can be inserted into the same slot of the break counter contact element.
- a normally open counter-contact element can be angularly formed and rest on the coil body with a crosspiece, so that the normally open counter-contact element holds the coil body together with the base.
- the connection elements anchored in the base each rest on the top of the base with at least one shoulder and are braced on the underside of the base with an obliquely flared locking tab.
- the leaf spring can also have different spring legs. So it is possible to provide a changeover spring with contact pieces provided on both sides or a forked split spring instead of a simple closer spring. In the latter case, the parallel contact legs can either serve as a contact bridge for a double closer or form a separate opening and closing spring for a changeover contact. It is also possible to use an additional wire for guiding high currents on the contact spring. In this case, the stranded wire can also be automatically installed between the connection bracket and the contact spring leg in the prefabrication; in this case, too, no subsequent connection of the braid to the base is necessary.
- the relay shown in the drawing has in its magnet system or its coil assembly (see FIGS. 2 and 5) a coil former 1 with two flanges 2 and 3 and a winding 4 applied between them, a winding support wire 6 being fastened in each of the coil flanges.
- These coil connection elements 6 can be embedded in the coil body, i. i.e., injected or also inserted.
- the coil former has an axial bore with an inserted core 5, which is connected to a yoke 7 in the area of the coil flange 2. This yoke 7 is of an angular design, the leg 7a being connected to the core 5, while the leg 7b extends next to the coil winding approximately parallel to its axis.
- a plate-shaped armature 9 is mounted on the free end of the yoke leg 7b, with the aid of a connection bracket 8 and a leaf spring 10.
- the armature forms a working air gap with the free end of the core 5.
- the first section of the anchor connection bracket 8 lies flat on the yoke leg 7b and is connected to it, for example by spot welding.
- the connection angle is slightly bent away from the yoke leg in order to ensure the free movement of the armature 9.
- a right-angled fastening section 8c is guided around the mounted end of the armature, so that the armature lies between this fastening leg 8c and the free end of the yoke leg 7b.
- the fastening leg 8c carries the leaf spring 10, namely its frame-shaped return leg 10a, 10b with a fastening tongue 10c projecting into the frame-shaped part from the free end.
- connection element 8d is formed in the form of a flat plug, which is guided through an insertion shaft of the base during assembly.
- the leaf spring 10 with its portion extending beyond the armature, forms a contact spring 11, which either forms a single spring leg according to FIG. 2 or FIG. 6 or can be split into two spring legs 11a and 11b according to FIGS. 7 and 8. Since the leaf spring must therefore also carry the switching current, it consists of a highly conductive material, usually a copper alloy.
- the power is supplied via the connection bracket 8 and the fastening tongue 10c.
- an additional strand 12 can be provided between the connection bracket 8 and the contact spring 11 or the spring leg 11a, as shown in FIG.
- FIG. 6 is a simple one NO or NC spring with a simple contact piece 13 or a changeover spring with a double-sided contact piece.
- the spring 11a, 11b according to FIG. 7 is intended for a double closer contact, both spring legs 11a and 11b each carrying a contact piece.
- FIG. 8 also shows a changeover spring arrangement, the leg 11a only carrying a make contact piece on the opposite side, the wire 12 being welded onto the rear side thereof.
- the opener contact piece 14 is applied to the second spring leg 11b.
- the armature also has a stop pin 15 at its free end, which strikes a corresponding stop surface 16 of the coil body in the case of make contact designs and thus defines the idle state of the armature. In the case of NC or changeover contact designs, this stop pin 15 can be bent as shown in FIG. 8, it then no longer defining the idle state, but serving as a shock protection.
- the base 17 shown best in FIGS. 3 and 4 has plug-in shafts 18 and 19 for coil connecting elements 20 and 21, and further plug-in shafts 22 and 23 for various mating contact elements.
- an opener contact element 24 is accommodated in the plug-in shaft 22, the contact section 24a of which sits in a chamber 25 of the base 10 and which is additionally supported in a stop frame 26 of the coil former after assembly.
- a normally open contact element 27 can be fastened in the plug-in shaft 23, which together with the normally closed contact element 24 results in a changeover contact arrangement.
- a further closer contact element 28 is inserted into the slot 22 instead of the normally closed contact element 24.
- the contact leg 28a then sits flush below the contact leg 27a, for example a double spring 11a, 11b according to FIG. 7 bridging the two contact pieces 29 of the mating contact elements 27 and 28.
- a simple normally open contact embodiment for switching high currents is also desired, the mating contact element 30 being anchored in the two plug-in shafts 22 and 23 with two connecting elements 30a and 30b.
- connection elements rest with shoulders, for example 20a, 21a, 24b, 28b and 30c, on the top of the base or possibly also on the coil body (shoulder 27b of the connection element 27).
- all connection elements each have at least one obliquely flared locking tab 31, which yields somewhat resiliently during assembly and when inserted through the base 17, but springs back on the underside of the base and is braced on the underside of the base.
- the base also has an angular slot 32 for inserting the connection angle 8 and chambers 33 and 34 for receiving additional components 35 or 36, which are welded onto the coil connection elements 20 and 21 and thus connected in parallel or in series with the coil winding.
- the coil connection elements have flat bent portions 20b and 21b on their upper side, which offer a large contact surface for the bent winding support wires 6a and 6b and the connecting wires of the additional components 35 and 36, so that a weld connection can be carried out automatically in a simple manner .
- the armature assembly preassembled according to FIGS. 6 to 8 is first connected to the preassembled coil assembly according to FIG. 2, section 8a of the connection angle being welded onto the yoke leg 7b.
- the magnet system shown in FIG. 2 is then joined together with the base assembly shown in FIG. 3, the armature connection angle 8 being inserted into the plug-in shaft 32 and fixed with its angular region 8e in this angular plug-in shaft 32.
- the opener counter-contact element 24 - if there is one - is inserted with its leg 24a into the frame stop 26 of the coil body.
- the bent winding support wires 6a and 6b are then connected to the corresponding connection angles by welding.
- the wire 6b is welded to the section 21b of the connection element 21, while in the embodiment shown the connection wire 6a is not welded directly to the connection element 20, since the diode 35 in Se should be switched to the winding.
- the lead wire 6a is therefore welded to the lead wire 35a of the diode 35 and to the lead wire 36a of the diode 36 on an angular connecting element 37, which is also housed in the base in a chamber. If this ballast diode were not present, the connecting wire 6a could easily be bent so that it could be welded directly onto the section 20b of the connecting element 20.
- the normally open counter-contact element 27 is inserted from above through the plug-in shaft 3a of the bobbin flange 3 and through the plug-in shaft 23 of the base 17, the cross bar 27b engaging in a recess 2a in the coil flange 2 and thus additionally holding the coil assembly on the base assembly.
- connection elements are each designed as flat plug connections; if necessary, they could of course also be designed as pin connections, for example for installation on printed circuit boards.
- contact rivets 29 shown could also be designed as contact elements of a different design.

Abstract
Description
- FIG 3 die Sockelbaugruppe des Relais von FIG 1,
