Abstract
Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft eine Sprühvorrichtung zur elektrostatischen Pulverbeschichtung, mit einem Hauptgerät, welches einen Abgabekanal für Pulver, eine Mündung am stromabwärtigen Ende des Abgabekanals zur Zerstäubung des Pulvers, eine Pulverzuleitung zur Zufuhr von pneumatisch gefördertem Pulver in den stromaufwärtigen Anfangsabschnitt des Abgabekanals, und eine Gaszuleitung aufweist, durch welche Gas entlang einer an Erdpotential anschließbaren Ableiterelektrode in den Abgabekanal geleitet wird.
- Eine solche Sprühvorrichtung ist aus der DE-PS 23 47 491 bekannt. Die Wand des Abgabekanals besteht aus elektrisch isolierendem Material, durch welches an ihm entlang reibende Pulverteilchen elektrisch aufgeladen werden. Dabei entsteht an der Kanalwand eine Anhäufung von elektrischen Ladungen, welche die elektrische Aufladung der Pulverteilchen behindern. Die Ableiterelektrode ragt im Abgabekanal in den Pulver-Gas-Strom hinein und dient zur Ableitung der angehäuften Ladung von der Kanalwand über die Ableiterelektrode zu einem Erdanschluß. Das Gas der Gaszuleitung strömt über die Ableiterelektrode, damit sich an ihr keine Pulverteilchen festsetzen können. Eine ähnliche Vorrichtung zeigt die DE-PS 22 03 351. Ferner zeigt die DD-PS 134 841 eine ähnliche Sprühvorrichtung, bei welcher im Abgabekanal ein Strömungsleitkörper aus elektrisch isolierendem Material angeordnet ist, so daß sich das Pulver sowohl an der Kanalwand als auch an der Oberfläche des Strömungsleitkörpers durch Reibung elektrisch aufladen kann. Ferner zeigt die DE-OS 27 56 009 (US-PS 4 090 666) eine Sprühvorrichtung ohne Ableiterelektrode, bei welcher über eine Gaszuleitung Gas koaxial zum Pulver-Gas-Strom des pneumatisch geförderten Pulvers in den Abgabekanal eingebracht wird, um die Pulverteilchen mit dem Gas der Gaszuleitung radial nach außen gegen die Kanalwand zu treiben, damit mehr Pulverteilchen an der Kanalwand entlang reiben und durch stärkeren Reibungsdruck das Pulver insgesamt stärker aufgeladen wird.
- Außer den vorgenannten Sprühvorrichtungen mit Aufladung des Pulvers durch Reibung an einer Kanalwand gibt es auch Sprühvorrichtungen, bei welchen Pulver durch Elektroden elektrisch aufgeladen werden, die sich im Strömungsweg des Pulvers befinden und an den Hochspannungsanschluß einer Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung angeschlossen sind. Dabei wird unterschieden zwischen sogenannter "innerer Aufladung", bei welcher sich die Elektrode stromaufwärts von der Stelle befindet, wo die Zerstäubung des Pulvers beginnt, und der sogenannten "äußeren Aufladung", bei welcher sich die Elektrode in einem Bereich befindet, wo das Pulver zerstäubt wird oder bereits zerstäubt wurde. "Zerstäuben" bedeutet hierbei das "radiale Auseinandertreiben der Pulverteilchen des Pulverstromes". Eine solche Vorrichtung zeigt DE-PS 20 30 388.
- Durch die Erfindung soll die Aufgabe gelöst werden, die Sprühvorrichtung so auszubilden, daß das Pulver wahlweise nach verschiedenen Verfahren elektrostatisch aufgeladen werden kann, die Vorrichtung durch einfache Manipulation von einem auf ein anderes Verfahren umgestellt werden kann. Dabei soll die Umstellung schnell vorgenommen werden können und die Sprühvorrichtung konstruktiv einfach und preiswert sein.
- Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch gelöst, daß das Hauptgerät zusammen mit mindestens zwei alternativ verwendbaren Zusatzgeräten, von welchen jedes für ein anderes Verfahren zur elektrischen Aufladung des Pulvers ausgebildet ist, einen variablen Gerätesatz bildet, daß das Hauptgerät am stromaufwärtigen Anfangsabschnitt des Abgabekanals mit einem Anschlußstück zum Anschluß jeweils eines der Zusatzgeräte versehen ist, daß jedes Zusatzgerät einen Strömungsleitkörper aufweist, welcher ein Anschlußstück zum Anschluß am Anschlußstück des Hauptgerätes hat und sich im befestigten Zustand axial durch den Abgabekanal erstreckt, so daß letzterer einen ringförmigen Querschnitt mit einer äußeren Kanalwand und mit einer durch den Strömungsleitkörper gebildeten inneren Kanalwand hat, daß der Strömungsleitkörper eines der Zusatzgeräte mindestens auf seiner die innere Kanalwand bildenden Mantelfläche ein elektrisch isolierendes Material zur elektrokinetischen Aufladung des Pulvers durch Reibung des Pulvers an diesem Material aufweist, und daß im Strömungsleitkörper mindestens eines anderen der Zusatzgeräte eine Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung untergebracht ist und daß dieser Strömungsleitkörper mindestens eine an diese Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung angeschlossene Elektrode zur elektrostatischen Aufladung des Pulvers aufweist.
- Dadurch kann auf einfache Weise alternativ je eines der Zusatzgeräte in das Hauptgerät eingesetzt und dadurch das Hauptgerät wahlweise auf verschiedene elektrostatische Sprühbeschichtungsverfahren umgestellt werden.
- Die Erfindung wird im folgenden mit Bezug auf die Zeichnungen beschrieben, in welchen eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung als Beispiel dargestellt ist. Darin zeigen
- Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt einer ersten Variante einer Sprühvorrichtung nach der Erfindung,
- Fig. 2 einen Längsschnitt einer zweiten Variante der Sprühvorrichtung nach der Erfindung,
- Fig. 3 einen Längsschnitt einer dritten Variante der Sprühvorrichtung nach der Erfindung, und
- Fig. 4 einen Längsschnitt einer vierten Variante der Sprühvorrichtung nach der Erfindung.
- Bei allen Varianten 1 bis 4 weist das Hauptgerät 2 der Sprühvorrichtung ein Pistolengehäuse 4 aus elektrisch isolierendem Material und eine Ableiterelektrode 6 aus elektrisch leitendem Material auf. Die Ableiterelektrode 6 ist in einem Kanalteil 8 eines Abgabekanals 10, welcher im Pistolenkörper 4 gebildet ist, mit diesem Pistolenkörper verbunden. Ein aus dem Pistolenkörper hinten herausragender Endabschnitt 12 der Ableiterelektrode 6 ist über eine aufgeschraubte Mutter 14 mit einem Erdpotentialanschluß 16 verbunden. Ein weiterer Teil 18 des Abgabekanals 10 ist als Ringnut ausgebildet und bildet einen die Ableiterelektrode 6 umgebenden Ringraum 20. In den Ringraum 20 mündet eine durch den Pistolenkörper 4 hindurchführende Gaszuleitung 22. Der Ringraum 20 ist über eine Strömungsdrossel 24 mit einem Kanalteil 26 des Abgabekanals 10 verbunden, welcher sich von der Einmündung 28 einer im Pistolenkörper 4 gebildeten Pulverzuleitung 30 bis zu einer Mündung 32 am stromabwärtigen Ende des Abgabekanals 10 erstreckt. Die Strömungsdrossel 24 hat die Form eines Ringspaltes, der außen durch einen Wandteil 34 des Abgabekanals 10 und innen auf einern Teil seiner Länge durch einen stromabwärtigen.Endabschnitt 38 der Ableiterelektrode 6 gebildet ist.
- Der Endabschnitt 38 der Ableiterelektrode 6 ist als Anschlußstück für ein Zusatzgerät ausgebildet und für diesen Zweck mit einem Innengewinde 40 versehen. Die Innenwand des die Strömungsdrossel 24 bildenden Ringspaltes wird am stromabwärtigen Endabschnitt 42, im Anschluß an die Ableiterelektrode 6, durch einen Teil des Zusatzgerätes gebildet, welches in das Innengewinde 40 eingeschraubt ist. Der vom Pulver durchströmte Kanalteil 26 des Abgabekanals 10 besitzt
- eine Kanalwand 44 aus elektrisch isolierendem Material, welches an ihm reibende Pulverteilchen durch die Reibung elektrisch auflädt.
- Bei der in Fig. 1 dargestellten Sprühvorrichtung ist ein Zusatzgerät 50 vorgesehen, welches einen Strömungsleitkörper 52 mit einem Anschlußstück 54 aufweist. Das Anschlußstück 54 ist mit einem Außengewinde 56 versehen, welches in das Innengewinde 40 der Ableiterelektrode 6 eingeschraubt ist und den Strömungsleitkörper 52 axial im Kanalteil 26 des Abgabekanals 10 hält. Der Strömungsleitkörper 52 besteht aus einem elektrisch isolierenden Material, welches an ihm reibende Pulverteilchen durch Reibung elektrisch auflädt. Die Mantelwand 58 bildet eine innere Kanalwand, so daß der Kanalteil 26 des Abgabekanals zwischen der inneren Kanalwand 58 und der äußeren Kanalwand 44 einen ringförmigen Querschnitt hat. Der Strömungsleitkörper 52 hat stromaufwärts der Mündung 32 einen sich in Strömungsrichtung kegelförmig verjüngenden Körperabschnitt, durch welchen der Ringraum des Kanalteils 26 in Strömungsrichtung größer wird, so daß längs des Körperabschnitts 60 eine diffuserartige Zerstäubung des Pulvers stattfindet, bevor dieses die Mündung 32 verläßt und durch Auftreffen auf eine Prallplatte 62 weiter zerstäubt wird. Die Prallplatte 62 ist ein Teil des Strömungsleitkörpers 52.
- Hierbei werden die Pulverteilchen im Kanalteil 26 sowohl von der äußeren Kanalwand 44 als auch von der inneren Kanalwand 58 durch Reibung elektrostatisch aufgeladen. Das Pulver wird über die Zuleitung 30 pneumatisch zugeführt, so daß der Pulverstrom bereits in der Zuleitung 30 ein das Pulver transportierendes Gas enthält.
- Durch die Ableiterelektrode 6 führt axial eine Bohrung 64 hindurch, welche zum Anschluß der im folgenden mit Bezug auf die Fig. 2, 3 und 4 beschriebenen Varianten von Zusatzgeräten erforderlich ist. Die weiteren Varianten haben jeweils das gleiche Hauptgerät 2, jedoch andere Zusatzgeräte. Im folgenden werden nur noch die Teile beschrieben, die von der Variante 1 nach Fig. 1 abweichen.
- Fig. 2 zeigt ein Zusatzgerät 70;mit einem Strömungsleitkörper 72, in welchem eine Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung 74 untergebracht ist. Die Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung 74 ist auf ihrer Niederspannungsseite 76 mit einem Stromversorgungskabel 78 versehen, welches durch die Bohrung 64 der Ableiterelektrode 6 hindurchgeführt ist. Die Hochspannungsseite 80 der Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung 74 ist an Elektroden 82 angeschlossen, welche stromaufwärts des verjüngten Körperabschnitts 60 in den Kanalteil 26 ragen und vorbeiströmendes Pulver elektrostatisch aufladen. Hierbei spricht man von "innerer Aufladung", weil die Aufladung des Pulvers vor seiner Expansion längs des Körperabschnitts 60 erfolgt. Der Strömungsleitkörper 72 und die Prallplatte 62 bestehen aus einem
- Kunststoffteil, in welchen die Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung 74 und die Elektrode 82 eingeschlossen sind. Bei dieser Variante 2 wird das Pulver auch durch Reibung an der inneren Kanalwand 58 und der äußeren Kanalwand 44 durch Reibung elektrisch aufgeladen.
- Die in Fig. 3 gezeigte Variante 3 zeigt ein Zusatzgerät 90 ähnlich der Variante 2 von Fig. 2, wobei jedoch bei der Variante 3 Elektroden 91 eines Strömungsleitkörpers 92 in einem Bereich 93 stromaufwärts der Mündung 32 angeordnet sind, wo das Pulver durch den verjüngten Körperabschnitt 60 des Strömungsleitkörpers 92 bereits teilweise zerstäubt wurde. Dadurch spricht man hier von "äußerer Aufladung". Die Elektroden 91 sind über einen elektrischen Schutzwiderstand 94 an die Hochspannungsseite 80 einer Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung 74 angeschlossen, die in den aus Kunststoff bestehenden Strömungsleitkörper 92 eingeschlossen, ist.
- Die in Fig. 4 gezeigte vierte Variante zeigt ein Zusatzgerät 100, bei welchem eine Elektrode 101 aus dem stirnseitigen Ende der Prallplatte 62 herausragt. Die Elektrode 101 ist über einen elektrischen Schutzwiderstand 94 mit der Hochspannungsseite 80 einer Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung 74 verbunden, die in den Strömungsleitkörper 102 eingegossen sind. Auch hier besteht der Strömungsleitkörper 102 aus elektrisch isolierendem Kunststoffmaterial, welcher an ihm reibende Pulverteilchen durch Reibung elektrisch auflädt.
- Der elektrische Schutzwiderstand 94 ist ebenfalls in den Strömungsleitkörper 32 von Fig. 3 und 102 von Fig. 4 eingeschlossen. Bei der Variante 1 nach Fig. 1 erfolgt eine elektrostatische Aufladung des Pulvers nur durch Reibung. Bei den Varianten 2, 3 und 4 nach den Fig. 2, 3 und 4 erfolgt zusätzlich eine elektrostatische Aufladung durch die Elektroden 82, 91, 101.
- Bei allen Varianten besteht das Zusatzgerät 50, 70, 90 und 100 jeweils hauptsächlich aus einem Strömungsleitkörper, in welchem alle für die elektrostatische Aufladung des Pulvers erforderlichen Teile oder Materialien integriert sind. Dadurch können die Zusatzgeräte schnell ausgewechselt werden, da lediglich jeweils ein anderer Strömungsleitkörper in das Hauptgerät eingeschraubt werden muß. Dabei ist für alle Varianten nur ein einziges Hauptgerät 2 mit einem einzigen Anschlußstück 38 erforderlich, das Bestandteil des Hauptgerätes 2 ist und vorzugsweise gleichzeitig die Ableiterelektrode 6 bildet.
- Abweichend hiervon ist auch eine Ausführungsform möglich, bei welcher der Kanalteil 8 des Abgabekanals 10 als Anschlußstück für das Zusatzgerät ausgebildet ist und beispielsweise hierfür ein Innengewinde besitzt. In diesem Falle wäre die Ableiterelektrode 6 Bestandteil des Zusatzgerätes 50 von Fig. 1, und die Ableiterelektrode könnte mit dem Strömungsleiterkörper 52 unlösbar verbunden sein. In diesem Falle müßten die Zusatzgeräte 70, 90 und 100 der Fig. 2, 3 und 4 ein formmäßig der Ableiterelektrode 6 entsprechendes Anschlußstück haben, welches mit dem Strömungsleitkörper 72, 92, 102 verbunden ist und zusammen mit diesem lösbar in den Teil 8 eingesetzt werden kann, vorzugsweise eingeschraubt werden kann.
- Bei den Zusatzgeräten 70, 90 und 100 der Fig. 2, 3 und 4 ist eine gute Funktion auch dann gegeben, wenn das Pulver nicht durch Reibung, sondern nur durch die Elektroden 82, 91, 101 elektrisch aufgeladen wird. Für diese Anwendungsfälle ist keine Ableiterelektrode 6 erforderlich. Es genügt für die Zusatzgeräte 70, 90 und 100 ein Anschlußstück 38. Dieses kann insgesamt die Form der Ableiterelektrode 6 haben, und aus elektrisch nichtleitendem oder leitendem Material bestehen.
Claims (6)
dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß das Hauptgerät (2) zusammen mit mindestens zwei alternativ verwendbaren Zusatzgeräten (50,70,90,100), von welchen jedes für ein anderes Verfahren zur elektrischen Aufladung des Pulvers ausgebildet ist, einen variablen Gerätesatz bildet, daß das Hauptgerät am stromaufwärtigen Anfangsabschnitt (8,18,24) des Abgabekanals (10) mit einem Anschlußstück (6) zum Anschluß jeweils eines der Zusatzgeräte (50,70, 90,100) versehen ist, daß jedes Zusatzgerät einen Strömungsleitkörper (52,72,92,102) aufweist, welcher ein Anschlußstück (54) zum Anschluß am Anschlußstück (6) des Hauptgerätes (2) hat und sich im befestigten Zustand axial durch den Abgabekanal (10) erstreckt, so daß letzterer einen ringförmigen Querschnitt mit einer äußeren Kanalwand (44) und einer durch den Strömungskörper gebildeten inneren Kanalwand (58) hat, daß der Strömungsleitkörper (52) mindestens eines der Zusatzgeräte mindestens auf seiner die innere Kanalwand bildenden Mantelfläche ein elektrisch isolierendes Material zur elektrokinetischen Aufladung des Pulvers durch Reibung des Pulvers an diesem Material aufweist, und daß im Strömungsleitkörper (72, 92,102) mindestens eines anderen der Zusatzgeräte (70, 90,100) eine Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung (74) untergebracht ist und daß dieser Strömungsleitkörper mindestens eine an diese Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung angeschlossene Elektrode (82,91,101) zur elektrostatischen Aufladung des Pulvers aufweist.
dadurch gekennzeichnet ,
daß mindestens zwei Zusatzgeräte (70,90,100) vorgesehen sind, in deren Strömungsleitkörper (72,92,102) jeweils eine Hochspannungserzeugerschaltung (74) untergebracht ist, und daß die Elektrode oder die Elektroden des einen Strömungsleitkörpers stromaufwärts des Beginns (60) der Pulverzerstäubung und die Elektrode oder Elektroden (91,101) des anderen Strömungsleitkörpers oder der anderen Strämngsleitkörper (92, 102) im Bereich (60,62) der Pulverzerstäubung angeordnet ist oder sind.
