Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a transportable road traffic beacon with a signal means attached to the beacon head, in particular a warning light.
The marking of construction sites, road constrictions, diversions, etc. Transportable road traffic beacons used generally consist of a relatively heavy foot and an iron stand carried by the foot, which carries on the side facing the traffic with the usual diagonal stripes beacon board and at its upper end brackets for attaching hazard warning lights, barrier parts and the like. Like. Has.
- 1. If the training is too rigid, the beacons can be accelerated forward in the direction of travel by a moving vehicle and hit oncoming vehicles and in these, the windshield hurt the driver.
- 2..Ein against a beacon running vehicle can run up onto the foot aken- B, lifted with the front wheels from the road surface and are directed in an uncontrolled manner into the oncoming traffic.
- 3. The B ake can be folded from a vehicle colliding against the driving direction so that the entire beacon is moved over the hood des.Fahrzeuges away in the windshield of the vehicle accident.
- 4. In the event of a vehicle impact, the beacon can tear off in a horizontal plane, so that only the beacon head with a heavy flashing light pierces the windshield of the accident vehicle and hits the driver there.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an improved road traffic beacon, which behaves in the case of motor vehicles ascending so that neither the driver of the ascending vehicle nor other road users can be seriously endangered.
To achieve the above object, it is proposed according to the invention to produce the beacon body in one piece from a high-molecular plastic, to give the beacon the general shape of a Halma playing stone and at least on the front of the beacon between a slim shaft part and a base-like foot part in the area of the bumper height of motor vehicles to provide a pronounced concave curvature.
The use of a high molecular weight material means that the actual beacon body does not tear into individual parts, but can only undergo deformation. Characterized in that a concave curvature is provided at the bumper height of motor vehicles on the body of the beam, the body of the beam can deform in a U-shaped direction when impacting a motor vehicle and practically around the bumper of the Wrap the accident vehicle around so that the upper slim part of the beacon comes to rest on the bonnet and the foot part below the motor vehicle. With conventional beacon dimensions, the beacon head cannot then reach the windshield, so that the driver of the motor vehicle is protected in all cases.
Further details of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
A preferred embodiment of a road traffic beacon according to the invention is explained in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing.
In der Zeichnung zeigen:
- Fig. 1 eine Vorderansicht einer erfindungsgemäßen Straßenverkehrsbake,
- Fig. 2 eine schematische Seitenansicht zu Fig. 1 und
- Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 1 und 2.
- 1 is a front view of a road traffic beacon according to the invention,
- Fig. 2 is a schematic side view of Fig. 1 and
- 3 is a top view of FIGS. 1 and 2.
The beacon body 1 shown in the drawing is made in one piece from a high-molecular plastic. The beacon body 1 is therefore in no way brittle, on the contrary, it can be deformed to a considerable extent without its normal shape during the molding process. Lose handling. The beacon body 1 can also be stacked exactly as is known from other road traffic signaling means, i.e. be open and hollow on its underside.
The beacon body 1 includes the
It is of particular importance in the road traffic beacon according to the invention that a pronounced
In
The actual beacon surfaces, which, as shown in FIG. 1, are formed by red and white oblique strips, are located on the side surfaces of the beacon body which extend in the longitudinal center plane L-L . In order to be able to use the beacon both in one direction and in the other, the warning strips, preferably formed by glued-on plastic films, are designed to run in opposite directions, as shown in FIG. 3. The beacon surfaces carrying the warning strips are - as can also be seen from FIG. 3 - with a convex curvature in relation to a longitudinal center plane LL running in the direction of traffic. This increases the rigidity of the beacon without impairing the visual impression of the beacon.
If it is desired to reduce the signal mean weight in the beacon head, it can be considered according to a further feature of the invention to move the battery to supply a
Finally, it should also be mentioned that in order to increase the stability in the beacon foot means for hanging weights or tubular sandbags can be provided.
If the beacon according to the invention is set up in such a way that its longitudinal center plane LL points in the direction of traffic and a motorist actually meets a beacon coming from the road, the bumper of his vehicle impacts the beacon approximately in area A (FIG. 2). Because of the high molecular weight material, the beacon does not break, but there is a U-shaped deformation of the beacon around the force application point B. With this U-shaped deformation, the
