Bei einer «liegenden» Mulde ist die Zuführung vorn und die Abgabe hinten. Somit musste bisher je nachdem, ob der Käufer die Abgabe der Wäsche von der Mulde hinten oder vorn wünschte, eine besondere Konstruktion angeboten werden. Durch die vorgeschlagene Anordnung kann die Wäsche in beiden Fällen vorn zugeführt und je nachdem hinten weitergeführt oder durch eine einfache Führungsanordnung nach vorn, unterhalb der Zuführstelle, umgeleitet werden. Der Hersteller muss damit nicht mehr zwei verschiedene Einwalzenmangeln vorrätig haben, um alle Kundenwünsche zu befriedigen.A further advantage of such an arrangement for utilizing the entire heat of the hollow body with the molded-in trough can be seen in the single-roller arrangement according to FIG. 1. Claims (6)

1. Ironing mangle with at least one arrangement consisting of a heated, dimensionally rigid hollow and a rotatably driven press roller (14) which can be withdrawn to a rest position, which hollow is formed as a concave semicylindrical curvature in a cylindrical hollow body with a directrix closed per se, and the remaining outer wall of the hollow body with the exception of parts for the securement thereof and lines for supplying and removing a heat medium is formed as a heated contact surface for the articles to be ironed, characterised in that the curvature represents at least approximately an axially cut semi-cylinder of which the generating lines bounding the cylinder surface define a plane of the hollow enclosing, with a vertical plane, an angle of between 0° and 30°, and the roller axis is arranged at a distance from the plane of the hollow and on its side remote from the said hollow.
2. Ironing mangle according to claim 1, characterised in that in an arrangement with one hollow and one roller, the directrix of the cylindrical body is composed of the following lines, namely a semicircle (30) for the hollow, a quadrant (31) adjoining one end thereof having at least approximately the same radius as the semicircle and with the centre of the circle displaced vertically towards the plane of the hollow, and a straight line (33) completing from the other end of the semicircle together with a straight line (34), the said directrix, the transition points from the hollow to the adjacent parts of the directrix being formed as curves.
3. Ironing mangle according to claim 1, characterised in that with two arrangements each having one hollow and one roller, the two hollow planes enclose equal angles with a centre plane between the hollows, and the lower generating lines are closer than the upper generating lines to the centre plane.

Ironing mangle according to claim 3, characterised in that the directrix of the cylindrical body is formed by two semicircles for the hollows with their open sides remote from one another, an arc (16) joining the first ends of the semicircles, and a straight line (17) joining their second ends, the transition regions between the semicircles and at least the arc being formed as curves.
5. Ironing mangle according to claim 1, characterised in that with four arrangements arranged in pairs with one another and each having a hollow (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) and a press roller (14, 14a, 15, 15a), the four hollow planes taken in pairs enclose equal angles with a vertical and with a horizontal centre plane, and the two upper generating lines of the hollows of the upper arrangements and the two lower generating lines of the hollows of the lower arrangements are lower than the four remaining generating lines to the vertical centre line.
6. Ironing mangle according to claim 5, characterised in that the directrix of the cylindrical body has four semicircles and the two transition regions between the semicircles lying in each case on the same side of the vertical centre line are arcs having a convex curvature relative to the concave curvature of the semicircles, and the semicircles on one side of the vertical middle line are connected to the semicircles on the other side via a straight line (17) on the one hand, and via an arc (16) on the other hand, the transition regions between the semicircles and at least the arc being formed as curves.
