Abstract
Способ удаления участка ДНК в растении. В некоторых вариантах осуществления способ включает трансформацию растения молекулой нуклеиновой кислоты, где молекула нуклеиновой кислоты кодирует одну или более нуклеазу (нуклеазы) "цинковые пальцы" (ZFN), функционально связанную с одним или более тканеспецифичным промотором (промоторами), например промотором, специфичным для пыльцы. Способы включают вырезание нативных генов в растении. Соответственно, в некоторых вариантах осуществления разрабатывают ZFN, которые распознают последовательности, фланкирующие нативные гены растения. В других вариантах осуществления ZFN экспрессируются под контролем промоторов, специфичных для определенных стадий развития, таких что, например, последовательности нуклеиновой кислоты специфически вырезаются в растениях на относительно поздних стадиях развития.
