Zur Aufnahme dieser angesaugten Verbrennungsluft ist zwischen der in der Trennwand 5 liegenden Öffnung der Ansaugleitung 8 und der in der Frontpartie des Kraftfahrzeuges liegenden Öffnung 9 eine geschlossene gegenüber dem Strömungsquer schnitt für die Ansaugluft um ein Vielfaches vergrößerte geschlossene Kammer 10 vorgesehen. Am Boden dieser Kammer 10 befindet sich eine Wasserablauföffnung 11 zur Abfuhr von in dieser Kammer abgeschiedenem Wasser, das unter be stimmten Betriebsbedingungen durch die Öffnung 9 mitge rissen werden kann. Die Lage der Öffnung der Ansaugleitung 8 in der Trennwand ist geodätisch höher als die in die Kammer 10 führende Öffnung 9. Dadurch wird verhindert, daß durch die Öffnung 9 teilweise eindringendes Wasser in die Ansaugleitung 8 gelangen kann. In der Kammer 13 sind ver setzt zueinander mehrere beispielsweise keilförmige Wände 16 eingebaut, durch die zwischen der Öffnung 9 und der Ansaugleitung 8 ein mäanderförmig verlaufender Ansaug luftkanal 17 gebildet wird. Zur Geräuschdämpfung kann die Oberfläche des Ansaugluftkanals 17 mit einem Absorptions material 18 belegt werden.
