Description

增塑的PVC组合物
技术领域
本发明涉及增塑的PVC组合物,更具体地说,涉及稳定的增塑的PVC组合物,所述组合物包括C4-C30烷基吡咯烷酮,其含量足以使PVC增塑并为PVC赋予柔性、柔软度、延展性和较低的熔融温度。
背景技术
众所周知,现有技术向PVC中加入称为增塑剂的一些有机化合物从而赋予PVC所需性能如柔性、柔软度、良好手感和易加工性、延展性和较低的熔融温度[Encyclopedia of PVC Vol.1 and 2,L.I.Nass(1976)]。增塑剂通过溶解在PVC中起作用,降低聚合物链之间的内聚能密度并降低PVC中存在的卤原子所施加的极性力。就对于PVC起有效增塑剂作用的任何有机化合物而言,它(a)必需与PVC高度混溶,(b)必需具有极性基团和(c)在其有效使用期内必需具有低的从聚合物扩散和移出的趋势。此外,增塑剂不能引起PVC着色,应无毒、无色、具有低的挥发性并且在PVC与增塑剂的混合和组合的温度下热稳定。
已报道许多有机化合物可以作为PVC的有效增塑剂。它们包括邻苯二甲酸酐与具有4-15个碳原子的脂族醇(直链/支链)的酯、环氧化大豆油、偏苯三酸的酯、磷酸酯、苯甲酸和柠檬酸的酯和卤代烃。通过将二醇与己二酸或癸二酸缩合制得的较高分子量的聚酯(800-6000)也用作增塑剂。其中,由于邻苯二甲酸酯基增塑剂与PVC的兼容性优异、容易熔融和全面所需的性能,因此它们被最广泛地使用。
然而,邻苯二甲酸酯不是没有缺点。已报道邻苯二甲酸二辛酯是引起鼠的肝癌的致癌源。它们的低分子量使得它们能够快速扩散到PVC外面并在玻璃和其它透明表面上引起″灰雾″(雾状沉积)。它们还容易被有机溶剂提取,使它们不适宜用于需要接触溶剂的领域。
增塑剂领域的现有技术的代表有下面美国专利和公开的申请:5,777,014;6,118,012;6,706,815;2004/0001948和2004/0198909。
美国专利5,294,644公开了对活性有机化合物如农用化学物质和药物具有特别有效的表面活性剂活性的表面活性内酰胺。这些内酰胺还具有许多其它感兴趣的性能,包括抗静电、抗阻塞和润滑性能。这些内酰胺的特定用途是它们能够形成水不溶性农用化学物质的稳定的乳液浓缩物。
因此,本发明的一个目的是赋予PVC长效增塑从而给PVC组合物赋予柔性、柔软度、延展性和/或较低的熔融温度。
其另一目的是提供用作例如薄膜、侧线(siding)、薄片、管线和管材以及压延片、增塑溶胶、泡沫和分散体的形式应用的这些增塑的PVC组合物。
发明内容
PVC聚合物的稳定的、增塑的组合物,其包括足以将所述PVC增塑成柔性状态的含量为5-400phr(相对于每100份橡胶的份数)的C4-C30直链、支链或环状的烷基吡咯烷酮。
优选,该组合物包括C6-C20烷基吡咯烷酮,其含量为至少5phr,优选5-400phr,最优选10-100phr。其中优选使用室温下为液体的C8-C12烷基吡咯烷酮。
本发明的组合物提供了特征在于肖氏A级硬度值<100至<10(半硬至非常有柔性)的PVC产品。
单独含有C4-C30烷基吡咯烷酮的增塑组合物的本发明的PVC产品,或者组合有一种或多种主要或次要增塑剂的含有C4-C30烷基吡咯烷酮的增塑组合物的本发明的PVC产品,合适地可以是薄膜、侧线、管线或管材等中的压延片、增塑溶胶、泡沫或分散体的形式。
发明详述
用作PVC组合物的增塑剂的合适的烷基吡咯烷酮是C4-C30直链、支链或环状的烷基吡咯烷酮,优选包括环己基吡咯烷酮的C6-C20烷基吡咯烷酮,并且最优选室温下为液态,例如直链N-辛基(C8)吡咯烷酮(NOP)和直链N-十二烷基(C12)吡咯烷酮(NDP),它们可以分别以International SpecialtyProducts(ISP)销售的

LP-100和300商购获得。这些C8和C12烷基吡咯烷酮的有效量是PVC的至少5phr,优选5-400phr,最优选10-100phr。该量足以将PVC增塑成柔性状态。可以使用具有一种或多种主要或次要增塑剂的混合物。该量的增塑剂合适地形成用于例如薄膜、侧线、管线或管材的各种形状例如压延片、增塑溶胶、泡沫和分散体的有益增塑的PVC,从而赋予PVC柔性、柔软度、延展性和较低的熔融温度。

A.使用表1的组合物制备压延片
与DINP相比,具有上面NOP和NDP配方的压延片更柔软和更透明。具有NOP的薄片最柔韧;大致是具有DINP的薄片的柔软度的2倍。同样DINP/NOP(3∶1)和DINP/NDP(3∶1)的混合物比以相同用量(60phr)仅有DINP的制得更柔韧的薄片。
B.增塑溶胶
NOP和NDP都增加显示开始胶凝化时增塑溶胶的粘度,并降低其胶凝温度,增加其胶凝。较高级的烷基吡咯烷酮更适用于为增塑溶胶获得长的敞开时间。
C.泡沫
使用下表2所示的下面配方。

*Profor ADC/L-C2是基于偶氮二碳酰胺的发泡剂。
**Lankomark LZK 125是混合的金属盐稳定剂。
用这些配方在200℃下进行发泡。所得泡沫密度(g/cm3,y-轴)相对发泡时间(s,x-轴),结果显示加入C8或C12烷基吡咯烷酮比DINP产生较高泡沫密度和较大稳定性的泡沫。组合物中加入较大量的NOP和NDP使得表面更均匀并且更光滑。
D.分散体
2-8%NOP或NDP的含水PVC分散体将最低成膜温度(MFT)从14℃降低至2℃,其是显著降低并且是需要的结果。
实施例2
N-十二烷基-2-吡咯烷酮的增塑效果
使用下表3所示的下面组合物:

表4中结果显示含有40phr NDP的本发明配方得到等于60phrVestinol 9(DINP)的肖氏A级硬度值,即NDP比DINP在获得所需柔性PVC方面有效得多。
实施例3
A.胶凝温度降低
在NOP和NDP增塑的PVC组合物中,PVC在450℃或更低下发生胶凝。
B.胶凝速度增加
用NOP和NDP增塑的PVC更快地发生增塑和胶凝,因此增加产率。
C.弹性
NDP以比其它增塑剂低得多的用量更有效地制得高弹性PVC。在PVC(K70)中使用100phr NDP,可以获得40的肖氏A级硬度。
本发明组合物可以有效地用于如下用途:电线和电缆的绝缘和护套;游泳池、池塘、填埋场、灌溉沟渠的衬垫;水床的护板;织物涂胶;地毯背衬;汽车部件如仪表板、门板、臂扶手和其它;汽车底部涂层;瓷砖;壁覆盖物;地板;包装薄膜;传送带;防水油布;屋顶接缝膜(roofingmembrane);电线插头和接线;可充气帐篷;玩具;橡胶软管;管线和管材;农用薄膜;冰箱和冷库垫圈;鞋底和鞋帮、靴;用现有技术之一如压延、挤出制得的鱼饵、增塑溶胶、泡沫、分散体。
尽管具体参考其特定实施方案描述了本发明,但是应理解在该技术领域内可以进行改变和改进。

Claims (10)

1、PVC聚合物的稳定的、增塑的组合物,包括含量为5-400phr的C4-C30直链、支链或环状的烷基吡咯烷酮,所述含量足以使所述PVC增塑成柔性状态。
2、权利要求1的组合物,其中所述量至少是10phr。
3、权利要求1的组合物,其中所述量是10-100phr。
4、权利要求1的组合物,其提供特征在于肖氏A级硬度值<100的PVC产品。
5、权利要求1的组合物,其包括C6-C20烷基吡咯烷酮。
6、权利要求1的组合物,其包括C6-C20环状的烷基吡咯烷酮。
7、权利要求1的组合物,其在室温是液体,并且任选可以包括具有一种或多种主要和/或次要增塑剂的混合物。
8、权利要求1的组合物,其包括直链C8烷基吡咯烷酮。
9、权利要求1的组合物,其包括直链C12烷基吡咯烷酮。
10、一种包括权利要求1的组合物的PVC产品,其为压延片、增塑溶胶、泡沫、分散体、薄膜、侧线、管线或管材状。
