Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a fuel tank cover for a motorcycle having a warped surface shape and a generally arrow-shaped right end section which merges into a central section which, in turn, merges into a left end section of the fuel tank cover; the right end section has an upper arm area which bends rearwards and has a lateralforward edge which widens along the length of the upper armthrough a smooth concave curve; the upper arm area merges into an intermediate area of the right end section, the intermediate area having a rounded right end and a warped surface which is domed in end view; the intermediate area, in turn, merges into a lower arm area which bends rearwards and has a warped forward edge and a slightly concave end with a rounded outer corner; the upper arm area and the lower arm area have lateral inner surfaces which merge into lateral surfaces extending along the side edges of the intermediate area of the right end section and form generally v-shaped spaces between the upper and lower arm areas and the intermediate area of the right end section; the intermediate area of the right end section merges into the central section of the fuel tank cover; the central section twists clockwise along its length through an acute angle relative to the right end section; the upper edge of the central section has a narrow lateral surface extending along its length while the lower edge of the central section has a smooth concave curve and a lateral lower surface which merges into the adjacent lateral surface of the intermediate area of the right end section; the central section merges through a smooth curved upper edge into the left end section of the fuel tank cover; a lateral flange area extends rearwards along the rear surface of the central section and the left end section of the fuel tank cover adjacent to the upper edges of the central and left end sections; the left end edge and the upper edge of the left end section generally converge towards an upper end area of the left end section.
