Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the features of shape, configuration and ornamentation of a rear bumper for an automobile as shown in the drawings; the rear bumper is generally symmetrical and has a front surface and side surfaces; the front surface has a smooth curved lower surface section which extends outwards and rearwards and merges into the side surfaces through curved corner areas; the lower surface section of the front surface extends generally vertically downwards and has a lower elongated inverted generally U-shaped recessed area with a curved inner surface which extends most of the width of the rear bumper; the inverted generally U-shaped recessed area has a pair of curved recesses which extend part of the height of the inverted generally U-shaped recessed area and are situated close to the right and the left ends thereof; the front surface has an upper section which has an elongated upper generally U-shaped recessed area having rearwards extending bottom and side surfaces with the side surfaces being angled outwards and with rounded corners between the bottom and side surfaces; the upper portion of the outer section of each side of the front surface has a curved contoured area with a ridge separating the curved portions of the contoured area which extends outwards to near the ends of the rear bumper; the ends of the rear bumper have concave curved edges.The stippled lines in the drawings do not form part of the design.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a left front perspective view of the design of a rear bumper for an automobile;Fig. 2 is a front elevation view thereof; Fig. 3 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 4 is a right side elevation view thereof; andFig. 5 is a left side elevation view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
