Abstract

Se usa compuesto químico de carburo nanoestructurado para convertir carburo a carbono. Un método que comprende: proporcionar por lo menos un compuesto químico de carburo y reducir un catión metálico con el uso del compuesto químico de carburo para formar carbono elemental, en donde el compuesto químico de carburo es nanoestructurado. El compuesto químico de carburo nanoestructurado puede estar en forma de una nanopartícula, un nanocable, un nanotubo, una nanopelícula, una nanolínea. El reactivo puede ser una sal metálica. La reacción electroquímica, o reacción en la masa fundida o en solución, puede ser usada para formar el carbono. El compuesto químico de carburo nanoestructurado puede ser un electrodo.
