Abstract
Se presentan métodos para la deposicion de un revestimiento de multiples capas reflexivas, infrarrojas, por ejemplo, de plata sobre un substrato paraformar un artículo revestido. Se utilizan uno o más cátodos para depositar una capa protectora sobrela capa de plata. El uso de cátodos de cerámica elimina lanecesidad de capas de imprimacion metálicas comunes en la técnica anterior. Tanto la capa reflexiva infrarroja como la capa de cerámica pueden depositarse enla misma zona de revestimiento,con teniendo esta zona de revestimiento suficiente oxígeno para proporcionar una capa de revestimiento de cerámica oxidada sinque impacte adversamente sobre las propiedades de la capa reflexiva infrarroja.
