Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cap opener for removing a screw lid attached to a mouth portion of a container and a ring attached to the screw lid to prevent manual opening of the screw lid.
  • a structure disclosed in the following Patent Document 1 is known.
  • the container opened by the cap opener is roasted coffee beans, and such coffee beans have a property of releasing carbon dioxide gas. Therefore, when the roasted coffee beans are filled in the storage container, the internal pressure is increased by the carbon dioxide gas. Therefore, the mouth of the container is firmly tightened by the screw lid in order to improve the sealing performance. In order for the user to loosen the screw cap manually, considerable gripping power and arm strength are required. Therefore, the screw lid is opened using a cap opener which is a dedicated jig. This cap opener has a needle portion, and the needle portion is stabbed before the lid is opened to release the internal pressure.
  • the screw cap is firmly tightened and is opened by a dedicated cap opener.
  • the user can also open it manually. If it does so, a screw lid will be opened in the state whose internal pressure is higher than external pressure, and the problem that the contents will eject will arise. Therefore, in Patent Document 1 below, a ring is attached around the screw lid so that it cannot be manually opened by mistake. And this ring is also removed using a cap opener.
  • the method of using the cap opener in Patent Document 1 is generally as follows.
  • the cap opener includes a head that covers a screw lid and a pair of arms. By holding the arm by hand and performing a closing operation, the contact portion of the head is brought into pressure contact with the screw lid. Thereafter, the screw lid is removed from the mouth portion of the container by rotating the cap opener. At this time, the ring remains attached to the mouth. Therefore, the cap opener is attached again to the mouth portion of the container, and the locking portion provided on the head is operated to lock the locking portion to the ring so that the ring is removed from the mouth portion.
  • the problems of the cap opener disclosed in Patent Document 1 are as follows. That is, after performing the operation of removing the screw lid, an operation of removing the ring again is necessary, and there is a problem that the operation is troublesome.
