Abstract
Description
このような大規模蓄電池システムにおいては、大容量を実現するために、並列接続された複数の電池セルから構成される並列セルブロックを更に直列接続する二次電池ブロックを備える電池パックを用いているものが知られている。
本発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、電池セル外れ、セルの劣化等の種々の要因により生じる並列セルブロックを構成する電池セルの異常を正確に検出することが可能な電池監視装置及び方法を提供することを目的としている。
電池監視装置の電流検出部は、並列セルブロックを流れる電流を検出する。
電圧検出部は、並列セルブロックを流れる電流が第1の電流値の場合の並列セルブロックの電圧及び並列セルブロックを流れる電流が第2の電流値の場合の並列セルブロックの電圧を検出する。
演算部は、第1の電流値と前記第2の電流値との差電流、第1の電流値における並列セルブロックの電圧及び前記第2の電流値における並列セルブロックの電圧に基づいて、並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値を算出する。
これにより、判定部は、複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値及び複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値の最大値に基づいて、並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う。
図1は、実施形態の蓄電池システムを備えた自然エネルギー発電システムの概要構成図である。
蓄電池システム3は、大別すると、電力を蓄える蓄電池装置11と、蓄電池装置11から供給された直流電力を所望の電力品質を有する交流電力に変換して負荷に供給する電力変換装置(PCS:Power Conditioning System)12と、を備えている。
電池盤ユニット21-1~21-Nは、互いに並列に接続された複数の電池盤23-1~23-M(Mは自然数)と、ゲートウェイ装置24と、後述のBMU(Battery Management Unit:電池管理装置)及びCMU(Cell Monitoring Unit:セル監視装置)に動作用の直流電源を供給する直流電源装置25と、を備えている。
電池盤23-1~23-Mは、それぞれ、高電位側電源供給ライン(高電位側電源供給線)LH及び低電位側電源供給ライン(低電位側電源供給線)LLを介して、出力電源ライン(出力電源線;母線)LHO、LLOに接続され、主回路である電力変換装置12に電力を供給している。
電池盤23-1は、大別すると、複数(図2では、24個)の二次電池パック30-1~30-24と、二次電池パック30-12と二次電池パック30-13との間に設けられたサービスディスコネクト33と、電流センサ34と、コンタクタ35と、を備え、複数の二次電池パック30-1~30-24、サービスディスコネクト33、電流センサ34及びコンタクタ35は、直列に接続されている。
BMU36は、ゲートウェイ装置24の制御下で、電池盤23-1全体を制御し、各CMU32-1~32-24との通信結果(後述する電圧データ及び温度データ)及び電流センサ34の検出結果に基づいてコンタクタ35の開閉制御を行う。
電池端子盤22は、電池盤ユニット21-1~21-Nに対応させて設けられた複数の盤遮断器41-1~41-Nと、蓄電池装置11全体を制御するマイクロコンピュータとして構成されたマスタ(Master)装置42と、を備えている。
図3は、二次電池パックの詳細構成説明図である。
二次電池パック30-1~30-24は、同一構成であるので、以下においては、二次電池パック30-1を例として説明する。
二次電池パック30-1を構成している蓄電池モジュール31-1は、直列接続された複数(図3では、3個)の並列セルブロック61を備えており、各並列セルブロック61は、複数(図3では、2個)の互いに並列接続された電池セル62を備えている。
また、二次電池パック30-1を構成しているCMU32-1は、並列セルブロック61毎の電圧を検出する電圧検出部71と、シャント抵抗器やホールCT(Current Transformer)等を用いて蓄電池モジュール31-1の通電電流を検出する電流検出部72と、蓄電池モジュール31-1の異常判定を行うための異常判定設定値データ(=基準直流内部抵抗比率)などの各種設定値データを予め記憶した設定値記憶部73と、電圧検出部71の出力信号と電流検出部72の出力信号とが入力され、各並列セルブロック61の直流内部抵抗を演算し、複数の並列セルブロック61について演算した直流内部抵抗の比率と設定値記憶部73の設定値データの値との比較から異常電池セルを判定する演算部74と、機械スイッチや半導体スイッチ等で構成され、演算部74が電池セルの異常を判定した場合に充放電回路を遮断して蓄電池モジュール31-1への充放電を遮断する電流制御部75と、を備えている。
上記構成において、蓄電池モジュール31-1の電力は正極端子TPおよび負極端子TMを介して、充放電装置や負荷、または充電器等の外部装置と接続されることとなる。
BMU36は、通信ラインCL(図2参照)を介して二次電池パック30-1~30-24と通信可能に構成されており、BMU36全体を制御するMPU81と、CMU32-1~32-24との間でCAN通信を行うためのCAN規格に則った通信コントローラ82と、CMU32-1~32-24から送信された電圧データ及び温度データを格納するメモリ83と、を備えている。
そして、これらの盤遮断器41-1~41-Mは、蓄電池システム3の起動時に順次投入(閉状態と)される。これにより、主回路を接続し、蓄電池への充放電が可能な状態とする。
図5は、第1実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。
以下の説明においては、CMU32-1を例として異常検出処理動作を説明する。
この場合において、CMU32-1の電圧検出部71は、所定のタイミング(電圧検出タイミング)毎に電圧検出を行っており、電圧検出データを演算部74に出力している。
同様にCMU32-1の電流検出部72は、所定のタイミング(電流検出タイミング)毎に電流検出を行っており、電流検出データを演算部74に出力している。
これにより、演算部74は、電流変化があったか否かを常時把握しており、所定の電流変化が無い状態(電流変化前)における電流を所定のタイミング(電流検出タイミング)において検出し、検出電流の変化がない状態における検出電流データとして記憶する(ステップS11)。
この場合において、電流検出部72が検出する電流変化前の電流値は、電流値がほぼ一定の状態が継続していればよいので、非通電状態での電流に限定する必要はない。例えば、定置型大容量蓄電池の場合のように、周波数調整や電圧調整を目的に充放電を停止することなく継続するような場合でも電流変化前の電流として利用することができる。したがって、正極端子TPと負極端子TMを介して接続される外部装置は充放電装置でも良いし、充電器でも良いし、負荷でも良い。すなわち、蓄電池モジュール31-1の通電電流が変化する環境を構築できれば特に外部装置は限定されない。
そして電流変化を検出した演算部74は、電流変化があった状態(電流変化後)における電流を所定のタイミング(電流検出タイミング)毎に検出し、電流変化後の検出電流データとして記憶する(ステップS14)。

より詳細には、演算部74は、まずステップS17で算出した並列セルブロック61の直流内部抵抗R1~R3の中から、最大の直流内部抵抗Rmaxを特定する。
ついで演算部74は、最大の直流内部抵抗Rmaxの直流内部抵抗の平均値に対する比率RTを次式により算出する。

ここで、一般的に設定値Aは1.2以上2.0以下の範囲で設定される。
そして、ステップS19の判定において、比率RTが設定値Aより大きい場合、すなわち、

の場合に(ステップS19;Yes)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在すると判定する(ステップS21)。

の場合に(ステップS19;No)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在せず正常であると判定する(ステップS20)。
図6は、第2実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。

本第2実施形態が第1実施形態と異なる点は、第1実施形態においては、直流内部抵抗の平均値(R1+R2+R3)/3に対する最大の直流内部抵抗Rmaxの比率RTを用いて並列セルブロック61の異常を判定していたのに対し、第1実施形態の比率RTに代えて、直流内部抵抗の最大値Rmaxと直流内部抵抗値R1~R3のうち直流内部抵抗値の最大値Rmaxに対応する直流内部抵抗値以外の直流内部抵抗値の平均値とに基づいて算出した比率RT1を用いて並列セルブロック61の異常を判定している点である。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。
より詳細には、演算部74は、まずステップS17で算出した並列セルブロック61の直流内部抵抗R1~R3の中から、最大の直流内部抵抗Rmaxを特定する。
(R1+R2+R3)-Rmax
を算出する。具体的には、直流内部抵抗R2=Rmaxである場合には、

となり、(R1+R2+R3)-Rmaxの値は、直流内部抵抗値の最大値Rmaxを除いた残りの内部抵抗値の和となることが分かる。

図7は、第3実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。

本第3実施形態が第1実施形態と異なる点は、第1実施形態においては、直流内部抵抗の平均値(R1+R2+R3)/3に対する最大の直流内部抵抗Rmaxの比率RTを用いて並列セルブロック61の異常を判定していたのに対し、本第3実施形態は、第1実施形態の比率RTに代えて、直流内部抵抗値の最大値Rmaxと直流内部抵抗値の平均値を直流内部抵抗値の標準偏差σで除した値とに基づいて算出した比率RT2を用いて並列セルブロック61の異常を判定している点である。
ここで、比率RT2は、最大の直流内部抵抗Rmaxが他の直流内部抵抗値に対して外れ値(他の値と大きくかけ離れている値)であるか否かを判別するためのものとなる。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。
具体的には、演算部74は、ステップS17において、算出した直流内部抵抗R1~R3の平均値(R1+R2+R3)/3を求め、標準偏差σを次式により算出する。

ここで、一般的に設定値Aは1.2以上2.0以下の範囲で設定される。

の場合に(ステップS19B;No)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在すると判定する(ステップS21)。

これに対し、判定の結果、異常なセルが存在した場合には、電流制御部75のスイッチを開放して充放電を停止する処置や外部装置(例えば、BMU36、PCS12、蓄電池制御コントローラ5あるいは上位制御装置6)へ情報通信経路を介して二次電池パック30-1の異常を通知して外部装置から二次電池パック30-1への充放電動作を停止する等の処置がとられる。
以上の説明のように、本第3実施形態によれば、直流内部抵抗の分布に応じた標準偏差σのばらつき異常値として直流内部抵抗が大きい並列セルブロック61を検出することが可能となる。
図8は、第4実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。
図8において、図5と同様の部分については、同一の符号を付すものとする。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。
具体的には、演算部74は、ステップS17において、算出した直流内部抵抗R1~R3の和から直流内部抵抗値の最大値を除いた内部抵抗値の平均値(R1+R2+R3-Rmax)/2を求め、標準偏差σ’を次式により算出する。

ここで、一般的に設定値Aは1.2以上2.0以下の範囲で設定される。
そして、ステップS19Cの判定において、比率RT3が設定値Aより大きい場合、すなわち、

の場合に(ステップS19C;Yes)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在せず正常であると判定する(ステップS20)。
これに対し、判定の結果、異常なセルが存在した場合には、電流制御部75のスイッチを開放して充放電を停止する処置や外部装置(例えば、BMU36、PCS12、蓄電池制御コントローラ5あるいは上位制御装置6)へ情報通信経路を介して二次電池パック30-1の異常を通知して外部装置から二次電池パック30-1への充放電動作を停止する等の処置がとられる。
図9は、第5実施形態の二次電池パックの詳細構成説明図である。

図9において、図3と異なる点は、蓄電池モジュール31-1の温度を検出する温度検出部76を備えた点である。
ここで、温度検出部76の態様としては、一つの温度センサ(温度検出器)を接続して蓄電池モジュール31-1が置かれた環境温度を計測する態様や、蓄電池モジュール31-1内の温度分布を考慮して蓄電池モジュール31-1に複数の温度センサを設置する態様や、蓄電池モジュール31-1内の最も温度が上昇する電池セル62に温度センサを設置して、蓄電池モジュール31-1が一律に温度が上昇したものとする態様や、温度分布に合わせて電池セル62の温度上昇を推定して使用する態様などが考えられる。
図10において、図5と同様の部分については、同一の符号を付すものとする。
本第5実施形態が第1実施形態と異なる点は、第1実施形態においては、測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3をそのまま用いていたのに対し、温度検出部76により検出した蓄電池モジュール31-1の温度情報に基づいて測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3を補正して、補正後の直流内部抵抗値を用いて異常判定を行っている点である。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。
一般に電池温度が高くなると直流内部抵抗が減少し、電池温度が低くなると直流内部抵抗が増加する。

図11において、図9と異なる点は、蓄電池モジュール31-1の温度を検出する温度検出部76に代えて、全ての並列セルブロック61に接続され各々の並列セルブロック61の温度を検出する温度検出部77を備えた点である。

本第6実施形態が第5実施形態と異なる点は、第5実施形態においては、温度検出部76により検出した蓄電池モジュール31-1の温度情報に基づいて測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3を補正して、補正後の直流内部抵抗値を用いて異常判定を行っていたのに対し、温度検出部77により検出した並列セルブロック61の温度情報に基づいて測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3を補正して、補正後の直流内部抵抗値を用いて異常判定を行っている点である。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。
RT=Rmax/((R1+R2+R3)/3))
ここで、一般的に設定値Aは1.2以上2.0以下の範囲で設定される。
そして、ステップS19E2の判定において、比率RTが設定値Aより大きい場合、すなわち、
RT>A
の場合に(ステップS19E2;No)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在すると判定する(ステップS21)。
また、ステップS19E2の判定において、比率RTが設定値A以下の場合、すなわち、
RT≦A
の場合に(ステップS19E2;Yes)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在せず正常であると判定する(ステップS20)。
これに対し、判定の結果、異常なセルが存在した場合には、電流制御部75のスイッチを開放して充放電を停止する処置や外部装置(例えば、BMU36、PCS12、蓄電池制御コントローラ5あるいは上位制御装置6)へ情報通信経路を介して二次電池パック30-1の異常を通知して外部装置から二次電池パック30-1への充放電動作を停止する等の処置がとられる。
図13は、第7実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。
図13において、図5と同様の部分については、同一の符号を付すものとする。
本第7実施形態が第1実施形態と異なる点は、第1実施形態においては、測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3をそのまま用いていたのに対し、電圧検出部71で検出した電圧に基づいて測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3を補正している点である。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。

の場合に(ステップS19F2;No)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在すると判定する(ステップS21)。

これに対し、判定の結果、異常なセルが存在した場合には、電流制御部75のスイッチを開放して充放電を停止する処置や外部装置(例えば、BMU36、PCS12、蓄電池制御コントローラ5あるいは上位制御装置6)へ情報通信経路を介して二次電池パック30-1の異常を通知して外部装置から二次電池パック30-1への充放電動作を停止する等の処置がとられる。
図14は、第8実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。
図14において、図5と同様の部分については、同一の符号を付すものとする。
本第8実施形態が第1実施形態と異なる点は、第1実施形態においては、測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3をそのまま用いていたのに対し、蓄電池モジュール31-1の電池残量(電池充電状態[SOC:State Of Charge])により直流内部抵抗を補正している点である。
電流検出部72は、蓄電池モジュール31-1の充放電電流を検出しているので、この充放電電流を積算することにより、SOCを算出することができる。
そして演算部74は、算出したSOCを用いて直流内部抵抗を補正するのである。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。

ここで、一般的に設定値Aは1.2以上2.0以下の範囲で設定される。
RT>A
の場合に(ステップS19G2;No)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在すると判定する(ステップS21)。
RT≦A
の場合に(ステップS19G2;Yes)、演算部74は、異常なセルが存在せず正常であると判定する(ステップS20)。
これに対し、判定の結果、異常なセルが存在した場合には、電流制御部75のスイッチを開放して充放電を停止する処置や外部装置(例えば、BMU36、PCS12、蓄電池制御コントローラ5あるいは上位制御装置6)へ情報通信経路を介して二次電池パック30-1の異常を通知して外部装置から二次電池パック30-1への充放電動作を停止する等の処置がとられる。
図15は、第9実施形態の異常検出処理の処理フローチャートである。
図15において、図5と同様の部分については、同一の符号を付すものとする。
本第9実施形態が第1実施形態と異なる点は、第1実施形態においては、測定した直流内部抵抗値R1、R2、R3をそのまま用いていたのに対し、充放電電流の電流値により直流内部抵抗を補正している点である。
そこで、本第9実施形態においては、蓄電池モジュール31-1の充放電電流、ひいては、並列セルブロック61の充放電電流を電流検出部72で検出し、演算部は、検出された電流値に基づいて並列セルブロック61毎の内部抵抗値の変化分を補正する演算を行うのである。
まず二次電池パック30-1は、第1実施形態のステップS11~ステップS17の処理を行う。

Claims (10)
- 並列接続された複数の電池セルを備えた並列セルブロックを複数個直列接続して構成される二次電池ブロックの状態を監視する電池監視装置であって、
前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流を検出する電流検出部と、
前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流が第1の電流値の場合の前記並列セルブロックの電圧及び前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流が第2の電流値の場合の前記並列セルブロックの電圧を検出する電圧検出部と、
前記第1の電流値と前記第2の電流値との差電流、前記第1の電流値における前記並列セルブロックの電圧及び前記第2の電流値における前記並列セルブロックの電圧に基づいて、前記並列セルブロックの直流内部抵抗値を算出する演算部と、
前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値及び前記複数の並列セルブロックの直流内部抵抗値の最大値に基づいて、前記並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う判定部と、
を備えた電池監視装置。 - 前記判定部は、前記最大値について、前記並列セルブロックの各々の直流内部抵抗の平均値に対する比率を算出し、当該比率が予め設定された設定値を超える場合に前記並列セルブロックが異常であると判定する、
請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記演算部は、全ての前記直流内部抵抗値から前記最大値を除いた直流内部抵抗値の平均値を算出し、
前記判定部は、前記最大値について、全ての前記直流内部抵抗値から前記最大値を除いた直流内部抵抗値の平均値に対する比率を算出し、当該比率が予め設定された設定値を超える場合に前記並列セルブロックが異常であると判定する、
請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記演算部は、全ての前記直流内部抵抗値の標準偏差σを算出し、
前記判定部は、前記標準偏差σに基づいて前記最大値が他の前記直流内部抵抗値に対して外れ値である場合に、前記並列セルブロックが異常であると判定する、
請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記演算部は、全ての前記直流内部抵抗値から前記最大値を除いた前記直流内部抵抗値の標準偏差σ’を算出し、
前記判定部は、前記標準偏差σ’に基づいて前記最大値が前記最大値を除いた他の前記直流内部抵抗値に対して外れ値である場合に、前記並列セルブロックが異常であると判定する、
請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記演算部は、前記電圧検出部が検出した電圧の値に基づいて、前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値の補正を行い、
前記判定部は、補正後の前記内部抵抗値に基づいて前記並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う判定部と、
を備えた請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記演算部は、前記電流検出部が検出した前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流を積分することにより前記複数の並列セルブロックのSOCを算出するとともに、算出した前記SOCに基づいて前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値の補正を行い、
前記判定部は、補正後の前記内部抵抗値に基づいて前記並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う、
を備えた請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記演算部は、前記電流検出部が検出した前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流に基づいて前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値の補正を行い、
前記判定部は、補正後の前記内部抵抗値に基づいて前記並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う、
を備えた請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 前記並列セルブロックの各々の温度を検出する温度検出部を備え、
前記演算部は、前記温度検出部が検出した温度に基づいて前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値の補正を行い、
前記判定部は、補正後の前記内部抵抗値に基づいて前記並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う、
を備えた請求項1記載の電池監視装置。 - 並列接続された複数の電池セルを備えた並列セルブロックを複数個直列接続して構成される二次電池ブロックの状態を監視する電池監視装置で実行される方法であって、
前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流を検出する過程と、
前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流が第1の電流値の場合の前記並列セルブロックの電圧及び前記並列セルブロックを流れる電流が第2の電流値の場合の前記並列セルブロックの電圧を検出する過程と、
前記第1の電流値と前記第2の電流値との差電流、前記第1の電流値における前記並列セルブロックの電圧及び前記第2の電流値における前記並列セルブロックの電圧に基づいて、前記並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値を算出する過程と、
前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値及び前記複数の並列セルブロックの内部抵抗値の最大値に基づいて、前記並列セルブロックの異常判定を行う過程と、
を備えた方法。
