- the term “failure” includes not only that the function is completely lost but also a case where the function is lower than the original capability.
- the delay circuit 340 is always non-conductive during the eco-run as described above. However, when the contact in the delay circuit 340 causes a short-circuit failure and is always in a conductive state, the relay RY1 is output even if the drive command SIG2 of the relay RY2 (that is, the motor) is not output from the control unit 310. When the control signal SE1 is output, the delay circuit 340 immediately outputs the control signal SE2. Then, since the pinion gear 260 contacts the ring gear 110 while rotating, if this abnormality remains unrecognized by the user, wear of both gears is promoted and durability decreases, or the gear at the time of contact There is a possibility that the contact sound of the user may become loud and uncomfortable for the user.

Compared to the time, the output timing of the motor drive command SIG2 is delayed.
- FIG. 3 is a time chart for explaining the outline of the abnormality detection control of the delay circuit in the present embodiment.
- FIG. 3 from the top, (a) a time chart at the normal start by the ignition key, (b) a time chart at the normal start at the time of the eco-run, and (c) an abnormality of the delay circuit 340 occurs.
- a time chart at start-up and (d) a time chart at start-up when noise is mixed although normal during the eco-run is shown.

- the delay circuit 340 delays the start request signal for a predetermined period T1 set based on the time at which the engagement operation should be completed, and outputs the control signal SE2 at time t24. As a result, the relay RY2 is closed and the motor 220 is driven.
- a drive command SIG1 is output from the control unit 310, so that the ECU 300
- the control signal SE1 is output (time t21).
- the drive command SIG2 is output from the control unit 310, whereby the control signal SE2 is output from the ECU 300.

- the control signal SE1 is output during the eco-run
- the control signal SE2 is output shortly thereafter (time) t22).
- the motor drive command SIG2 is not output from the control unit 310.
- the abnormality detection unit 350 determines the temporary abnormality state, and the temporary abnormality flag FLG is output to the control unit 310.
- the output of the motor drive command SIG2 is delayed in response to the reception of the temporary abnormality flag FLG.
- the delay circuit 340 When the delay circuit 340 is abnormal, the temporary abnormal state detected at time t22 is continued. When the temporary abnormal state has elapsed for a predetermined period T2 (time t26), this abnormality is determined by the abnormality detecting unit 350. .
- a warning device not shown or the like notifies the user of the occurrence of the abnormality. Even when this abnormality is confirmed, the motor 220 is rotated by the control signal SE2, so that the engine 100 can be started. However, if the engine is intermittently stopped by eco-run frequently, gear wear is further promoted. Therefore, it is preferable to prohibit the engine intermittent stop after this abnormality is determined.
- the control signal SE1 when the control signal SE1 is output during the eco-run, the control signal SE2 is temporarily turned on at time t22 due to the influence of the noise of the signal.
- the abnormality detection unit 350 determines that the temporary abnormality state has occurred, and the temporary abnormality flag FLG is output to the control unit 310.
- the abnormality detection unit 350 determines that the normal state is in a normal state when the normal state continues for a predetermined period T3 (T3 ⁇ T2) (time t25). Then, when the temporary abnormality flag FLG is reset, the control unit 310 outputs a motor drive command SIG2. Thereby, control signal SE2 is output and engine 100 is started.

- predetermined condition 1 if predetermined condition 1 is not satisfied (NO in S100), the process proceeds to S140, and whether or not this condition 1 is not satisfied continues for a predetermined period (T3). Determine.
- abnormality detection unit 350 indicates that abnormality has not occurred in delay circuit 340, or the abnormality detected earlier is noise. It is determined that there is a high possibility of being temporary due to the above, and the process proceeds to S150 to set the temporary abnormality flag FLG to OFF. If the temporary abnormality flag is not originally turned on, the off state is maintained. Thereafter, the process proceeds to S120.
- condition 1 is not satisfied for a predetermined period T3 (NO in S140), (1) there is no abnormality in delay circuit 340 and temporary abnormality flag FLG remains off, but predetermined period T3 (2) State waiting for a predetermined period T3 after the temporary abnormality flag FLG is set on due to the effect of temporary noise, or (3) Noise or delay This includes a state in which the control signal SE2 is repeatedly turned on and off intermittently due to an abnormality in the circuit 340.
- the abnormality detection unit 350 cannot yet determine whether or not the abnormality of the delay circuit 340 has occurred, so the process proceeds to S120 while maintaining the state of the temporary abnormality flag FLG.
- abnormality detection unit 350 determines whether or not the temporary abnormality state, that is, the state where temporary abnormality flag FLG is set to ON continues for period T2 (T2> T3).

When this abnormality flag FLR is set to ON, for example, a warning device (not shown) notifies the user that an abnormality has occurred.
- control unit 310 may restrict the automatic stop of the engine by the eco-run. Further, for example, when a relay (not shown) that can electrically disconnect the input or output to the delay circuit 340 is provided, the control unit 310 determines that the abnormality is determined. The engine start using the delay circuit 340 may be limited by opening the relay.
- temporary abnormality flag FLG is not on during period T2 (NO in S120), temporary abnormality flag FLG is not set, and temporary abnormality flag FLG is set. However, this includes a state of waiting for the elapse of the period T2.
- the abnormality detection unit can detect abnormality of the delay circuit.
- the flowchart shown in FIG. 5 is realized by executing a program stored in advance in the control unit 310 at a predetermined cycle. Alternatively, for some steps, it is also possible to construct dedicated hardware (electronic circuit) and realize processing.
- control unit 310 determines in S200 whether the engine is being restarted during the eco-run. During engine restart, control signal SE1 (or drive command SIG1) is set to ON.
- control unit 310 advances the process to S240 and sets motor drive command SIG2 to OFF.
- control unit 310 determines whether or not provisional abnormality flag FLG is set on in abnormality detection unit 350. To do.

- control unit 310 determines whether or not the state in which control signal SE1 is turned on continues for period T1.
- control unit 310 If the state in which control signal SE1 is turned on does not continue for period T1 (NO in S220), the control unit 310 is in a state of waiting for completion of the engagement operation between pinion gear 260 and ring gear 110, so The process proceeds to S240, and the motor drive command SIG2 is set to OFF.
- control unit 310 determines that the engagement operation has been completed, and turns on motor drive command SIG2 at S230. Set.
- the motor drive is delayed when there is a possibility that the delay circuit is abnormal using the temporary abnormality flag set by the abnormality detection unit. As a result, it is possible to distinguish between the abnormality of the delay circuit and the influence of noise.
