Abstract
The improvements consist in means for adapting the oedometer so as to be able to apply loads in oedometer cells of up to 210 mm diameter, with or without suction control. For this purpose, the improvements comprise basically a first, larger-size, outer reaction frame (15) which incorporates a load transducer (7) and a second inner frame (16) for applying the load, which is fixed onto an oedometer bench (1) supporting an oedometer cell (2) against which there presses a heightwise adjustable member (9) which is secured to the inner frame (16) and against which the bottom end of the load transducer (7) fixed to the outer frame (15) in turn makes contact.
