交流発電機100は、三相交流発電部110と、整流器120と、界磁調整回路130を備えている。三相交流発電部110は、界磁巻線KCLを有する回転子と、U相、V相、W相の固定子巻線UCL、VCL、WCLを回転子の外周部に有する固定子を備えている。
制御回路300は、検出された電圧V1が電気負荷への電力供給量に対応した目標の電圧値になるように、ゲート駆動信号GateKのデューティ比を調整し、その調整されたゲート駆動信号GateKによりMOSFET(MOSK)を駆動する。すなわち、このゲート駆動信号GateKは、制御回路300により、目標電圧よりも検出された電圧V1が小さい場合は、デューティ比が大きくなるように調整され、目標電圧よりも検出された電圧V1が大きい場合は、ゲート駆動信号GateKのデューティ比が小さくなるように調整される。
このDC/DCコンバータ201は、図2に示すように、一般的な降圧形の非絶縁DC/DC電力変換回路と同じである(例えば、電気学会・半導体電力変換システム調査専門委員会編:“パワーエレクトロニクス回路”,オーム社,pp.245-265,2000参照)。
制御回路300は、出力電圧端子VbHの電圧V2を検出する。そして、制御回路300は、検出された電圧V2と目標電圧(この場合は14V)を比較して、MOSFET(MOS0)のゲート端子に入力するゲート駆動信号Gate0のデューティ比を決める。制御回路300は、目標電圧よりも検出電圧V2が小さい場合は、ゲート駆動信号Gate0のデューティ比が大きくなるように調整し、目標電圧よりも検出電圧V2が大きい場合は、ゲート駆動信号Gate0のデューティ比が小さくなるように調整する。
交流発電機100は、界磁巻線KCLの電流を一定とすると、三相交流発電部110の回転速度の上昇とともに出力電力が上昇していく。しかし、この出力電力の上昇により、固定子巻線UCL、VCL、WCLの電流は増大して交流発電機100は発熱する。交流発電機の発熱量は、装置の信頼性、安全性の点からある値以下に維持されなければならない。よって、界磁巻線KCLの電流を界磁調整回路130によって調整して、交流発電機100の出力電力(出力電流)を調整する。また、発熱量は電流に依存することから、大きな電力を得るためには、出力電流はそのままで出力電圧を大きくすればよい。
図4はこの実施の形態2における電源装置の全体を示す構成図、図5は同装置のDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図1および図2に示した構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
図5に示すように、DC/DCコンバータ202は、入力電圧端子VaH、VaLと出力電圧端子VbH、VbLとの間に、低圧側と高圧側のスイッチング素子としての2つのMOSFET(MOS1L、MOS1H)を接続してなる直列体、及びこの直列体に並列に接続された平滑コンデンサCs1からなる回路A1、並びに低圧側と高圧側のスイッチング素子としての2つのMOSFET(MOS2L、MOS2H)を直列接続してなる直列体、及びこの直列体に並列に接続された平滑コンデンサCs2とからなる回路A2を備えている。そして、これら回路A1、A2を2段に直列に接続している。また、後述するように回路A1、A2の内、第1の回路A1を整流回路、第2の回路A2を駆動用インバータ回路として機能させる。
このDC/DCコンバータ202は、入力電圧端子VaH-VaL間に入力された電圧V1を、約1/2倍に降圧された電圧V2(14V)にして出力電圧端子VbH-VbL間に出力する。

図8は本発明の実施の形態3における電源装置が備えるDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図5に示した実施の形態2の構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
回路A1、A2の各MOSFETに与えられる4つのゲート駆動信号Gate1L~Gate2Hは、上記実施の形態2と同じである。
ここで、高圧側のMOSFETへのゲート駆動信号Gate2H、Gate1Hにより、回路A2、A1の高圧側MOSFETであるMOS2H、MOS1Hがオン状態となると、電圧差があるため、平滑コンデンサCs2に蓄えられた一部のエネルギが、以下に示す経路を経由してコンデンサCrに移行する。

図9は本発明の実施の形態4における電源装置が備えるDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図5に示した実施の形態2の構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
回路A1、A2の各MOSFETの4つのゲート駆動信号Gate1L~Gate2Hは、上記実施の形態2の場合と同じである。
ここで、高圧側MOSFETへのゲート駆動信号Gate2H、Gate1Hにより、高圧側MOSFETであるMOS2H、MOS1Hが共にオン状態となると、電圧差があるため、平滑コンデンサCs2に蓄えられた一部のエネルギが、以下に示す経路でコンデンサCrに移行する。

図10は本発明の実施の形態5における電源装置が備えるDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図5に示した実施の形態2の構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
DC/DCコンバータ205は、入力電圧端子VaH-VaL間に入力された電圧V1を、約1/3倍に降圧された電圧V2(14V)にして出力電圧端子VbH-VbL間に出力する。

図示しない上位のコントローラが必要な電力供給量(発電量)を判断して、制御回路300に対して当該電力供給量に対応した電圧設定値の指令を出す。その際の電圧指令が14Vの場合、つまり、発電量の増加が必要でない場合、DC/DCコンバータ205内のMOS3H、MOS3L、MOS2H、MOS2Lを常時オン状態、MOS1HとMOS1Lとを常時オフ状態(あるいはMOS1Hのみを常時オフ状態)にし、交流発電機100の出力とDC/DCコンバータ205の出力を短絡状態にする。続いて、上述のごとく交流発電機100の界磁調整回路130により界磁コイルKCLの電流を調整することで、DC/DCコンバータ205の出力電圧(V2)を14Vに調整する。この動作状態では、DC/DCコンバータ205内に高周波の電流が流れないため、電力損失の小さなエネルギ移行ができる。
また、この実施の形態5の電源装置におけるその他の作用、効果は、実施の形態2~4の場合と同様であるから、ここでは詳しい説明は省略する。
図12は本発明の実施の形態6における電源装置が備えるDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図10に示した実施の形態5の構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
実施の形態5と同様、制御回路300から与えられる6つの各ゲート駆動信号Gate1L~Gate3Hによって回路A1、A2、A3が駆動される。この場合、第2の回路A2及び第3の回路A3は駆動用インバータ回路として動作し、第1の回路A1は、駆動用インバータ回路で駆動された電流を整流してエネルギを低電圧側へ移行する整流回路として動作する点も実施の形態5と同様である。

図13は本発明の実施の形態7における電源装置が備えるDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図5に示した実施の形態2の構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
実施の形態7のDC/DCコンバータ207(図13)と、実施の形態2(図5)のDC/DCコンバータと異なる点は、2つのMOSFET(MOSx、MOSy)からなるスイッチ回路SWが付設されると共に、制御回路300から上記2つのMOSFETを駆動するためのゲート駆動信号Gatex、Gateyが出力され、各MOSFET(MOSx、MOSy)のゲート端子に入力されていることである。
図14は本発明の実施の形態8における電源装置が備えるDC/DCコンバータの構成を示す回路図であり、図10に示した実施の形態5の構成と対応もしくは相当する部分には同一の符合を付す。
実施の形態5と同様、制御回路300から与えられる6つの各ゲート駆動信号Gate1L~Gate3Hによって回路A1、A2、A3が駆動される。この場合、第2の回路A2及び第3の回路A3は駆動用インバータ回路として動作し、第1の回路A1は、駆動用インバータ回路で駆動された電流を整流してエネルギを低電圧側へ移行する整流回路として動作する。
この発明の実施の形態9における電源装置は、実施の形態1と比較して交流発電機の構成が異なる。実施の形態1では、交流発電機100の出力電圧を界磁調整回路130により調節する三相交流発電部110について説明したが、本実施の形態では、交流発電機の出力電圧を調整する機能を有していない例えば永久磁石式の三相交流発電部を有する交流発電機への本発明の適用について説明する。
この発明の実施の形態10における電源装置は、実施の形態2~8と比較して交流発電機の構成が異なる。本実施の形態の交流発電機102は、実施の形態9と同様な永久磁石式の三相交流発電部111と、三相交流発電部111の出力端子間を短絡制御することにより出力電力を調整するための短絡回路140と、実施の形態2と同様な整流器120を備えている。実施の形態2では、交流発電機100の出力電圧を界磁調整回路130により調節していたが、本実施の形態では、交流発電機102の出力電圧を短絡回路140により調節する。
図16において、短絡回路140は、MOSFET、サイリスタ、IGBT等のスイッチ素子を備える。ここでは、スイッチ素子として、MOSFETを用いた場合の回路接続の詳細について説明する。短絡回路140は、MOSFET(MOSU、MOSV、MOSW)を備える。MOSUのドレインは整流器120を構成するダイオードDULのカソードに接続され、ソースは出力電圧端子VxLに接続される。MOSVのドレインは整流器120を構成するダイオードDVLのカソードに接続され、ソースは出力電圧端子VxLに接続される。MOSWのドレインは整流器120を構成するダイオードDWLのカソードに接続され、ソースは電圧端子VxLに接続される。MOSU、MOSV、MOSWのゲートには、それぞれ制御回路300からゲート駆動信号が入力される。
そして、制御回路300は整流器120又はDC/DCコンバータの出力電圧を検出して、ゲート駆動信号をMOSU、MOSV、MOSWに出力する。このとき、制御回路300は、MOSU、MOSV、MOSWのスイッチング制御によって三相交流発電部111の出力端子を短絡又は開放することにより、三相交流発電部111の出力電圧を所定値に制御して、所望の電力供給量を得る。
上記の実施の形態1~10では、オルタネータ等の交流発電機や、永久磁石式の交流発電機を用いた電源装置について説明した。本実施の形態では、図17に示すように、発電機能だけではなく力行機能もある例えばアイドルストップ用のモータジェネレータ112と、MOSFET(MOSUH~MOSWL)等の半導体素子からなるインバータ121を備えたシステムについても、上記実施の形態で説明したDC/DCコンバータを組み合わせて上記説明の動作を行い、発電時に出力を増加させてもよい。
Claims (17)
- 交流発電部、上記交流発電部に発生された交流電圧を直流の出力電圧に整流して出力する整流器を有する交流発電機と、
上記整流器の出力電圧を電圧値の異なる直流電圧に変換して出力するDC/DCコンバータ、を備えている電源装置であって、
上記交流発電部の回転速度と上記DC/DCコンバータに接続される電気負荷への電力供給量に応じて、上記整流器の出力電圧を上記DC/DCコンバータの出力電圧よりも大きくするとともに、上記DC/DCコンバータにより降圧して出力する電源装置。 - 上記整流器あるいは上記DC/DCコンバータの出力電圧を検出して、上記交流発電部の界磁巻線の励磁電流を調整し、上記整流器の出力電圧を所定値にして電力供給量を制御する請求項1に記載の電源装置。
- 上記交流発電機は、上記交流発電部が力行機能を有するモータジェネレータであり、上記整流器の代わりにインバータを設け、上記インバータによって上記モータジェネレータに発生された交流電圧を直流の出力電圧に整流して出力する請求項2に記載の電源装置。
- 上記整流器あるいは上記DC/DCコンバータの出力電圧を検出して、上記交流発電部の出力端子をスイッチング動作で短絡あるいは開放することにより、平均的に出力電圧を所定値にして電力供給量を制御する短絡回路を備えた請求項1に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記整流器の出力側に接続される入力電圧端子と上記電気負荷側に接続される出力電圧端子との間の接続をオン/オフ制御するスイッチング素子を備え、上記電力供給量が予め設定された値よりも大きい場合には上記スイッチング素子のオン/オフ制御により降圧動作を行う一方、上記電力供給量が予め設定された値よりも小さい場合には上記スイッチング素子による降圧動作を停止して上記整流器の出力電圧を出力するものである請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記スイッチング素子のオン/オフ制御に基づいて磁気エネルギの蓄積量又は放出量が時間間隔で制御されるインダクタを備える請求項5に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記スイッチング素子のオン/オフ制御に基づく充放電によりエネルギを移行するエネルギ移行用のコンデンサを備える請求項5に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記入力電圧端子と上記出力電圧端子との間に、上記スイッチング素子として高圧側と低圧側のスイッチング素子の直列体とその直列体と並列に接続された平滑コンデンサとから構成される複数の回路を設け、各回路の内の少なくとも一つを整流回路として、他の回路を駆動用インバータ回路として上記各回路を互いに直列に接続するとともに、上記各回路内の上記高圧側と低圧側の各スイッチング素子の接続点を中間端子として、上記各回路の中間端子間に上記エネルギ移行用のコンデンサを配設している請求項7に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記入力電圧端子の高電圧側に接続された駆動用インバータ回路を構成する上記平滑コンデンサを省略し、その代わりに上記入力電圧端子間に平滑コンデンサを接続している請求項8に記載の電源装置。
- 上記エネルギ移行用のコンデンサは、上記整流回路と上記駆動用インバータ回路の一つとの間の上記各中間端子間にそれぞれ接続されている請求項8または請求項9に記載の電源装置。
- 上記エネルギ移行用のコンデンサは、互いに隣接する上記各回路の上記中間端子間にそれぞれ接続されている請求項8または請求項9に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記整流回路と上記駆動用インバータ回路とがそれぞれ単一であるとともに、高圧側スイッチング素子と低圧側スイッチング素子の直列体からなるスイッチ回路を備え、かつ、上記駆動用インバータ回路を構成する平滑コンデンサの低圧側の端子を、上記スイッチ回路内の高圧側スイッチング素子と低圧側スイッチング素子の接続点に接続した請求項8に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記整流器の出力電圧を降圧して出力する場合には、上記スイッチ回路の高圧側スイッチング素子をオン、低圧側スイッチング素子をオフし、上記整流器の出力電圧を降圧せずに直接出力する場合には、上記スイッチ回路の低圧側スイッチング素子をオン、高圧側スイッチング素子をオフする請求項12に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記エネルギ移行用のコンデンサが充放電する経路内にインダクタが配設されている請求項8から請求項13のいずれか1項に記載の電源装置。
- 上記各エネルギ移行用のコンデンサのコンデンサ容量と上記各インダクタのインダクタンスとで決まる共振周期は、それぞれ等しくなるように設定されている請求項14に記載の電源装置。
- 上記DC/DCコンバータは、上記DC/DCコンバータを構成する上記各回路の高圧側の端子と、上記DC/DCコンバータの高圧側の入力電圧端子との間を接続あるいは非接続に制御するスイッチ回路を備えた請求項8または請求項9に記載の電源装置。
- 上記各スイッチング素子は、ソース・ドレイン間に寄生ダイオードを有するパワーMOSFET、またはダイオードを逆並列に接続したものである請求項5から請求項16のいずれか1項に記載の電源装置。
