Abstract

 車載エンジンの排気管。外管110内に挿入された内管131が、その外側端部132Cにおいて、外管110の内周面に第1の位置で接触するとともに、外管110が内管131に対し第1の位置と異なる第2の位置で接触し、内管131と外管110との間に膨張室135が形成される。内管131は、内管131の内部と膨張室135とを連通する複数の連通孔を有し、それにより消音器が構成される。外管110内には膨張室135に隣接して排気浄化触媒21が設けられる。そして、外管110の内周面には、内管131の外側端部132Cと排気浄化触媒21との間に凝縮水の流れを止める堰116が設けられる。したがって、排気管101において、排気が冷却されることにより生じる凝縮水が排気浄化触媒に接触することに起因して排気浄化触媒の浄化機能が低下することを抑制することができる。
