Abstract

Nanopartículas que comprenden un polímero biodegradable, preferentemente el copolímero de metil vinil éter y anhídrido maleico (PVM/MA) , y un polietilenglicol o derivados de éste. Estas nanopartículas son fáciles de producir, y dan excelentes características de bioadhesion, tamaño y potencial zeta que las hace adecuadas para la administración de moléculas activas. La selección del tipo de polietilenglicol utilizado en su producción permite modular convenientemente las características de estas nanopartículas lo cual puede ser aprovechado ventajosamente según el tipo de fármaco a transportar y/o el modo de administración de la formulación farmacéutica. La pegilación se realiza por incubación simple durante un corto periodo de tiempo de las dos macromoléculas en cuestión, sin necesidad de tener que recurrir al uso de disolventes orgánicos de elevada toxicidad, ni procedimientos de síntesis orgánica largos y penosos. Además, el proceso de pegilación se puede asociar al procedimiento de encapsulación de la molécula biológicamente activa.
