Be it known that I, EUGENIE MEARIs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Baltimore, State of Maryland, have invented new and useful Improvements in Tables, of which the following is a specification.

My invention has relation to improvevments in tables to which is attached an ironing-board; and the invention consists in the construction and arrangement Aof parts, as. v will be hereinafter described, 'and particu-l `larly pointed outin the claim.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a'perspective view illustrating` a table con- -and end bars 2 and 3,*the frame being properly supported on legs 4. -The table-topis' constructedin two sections, a fixed section 5 and a movable section 6, `the .latter com rising slightly'less than half the width o the table-topand being hinged at 7 to the fixed section. The end bars 2 and 3 of thetableframe beyond theI fixed section' are cut out or recessed at 8 to provide for the reception of levident an ironing-board 9, hinged at one endto the end bar 3 of the frame immediately-adjacent the recess 8 therein. The ironing-board is of a -length to permit its free end to rest Within the recess 8 in the end bar 2, of the frame when said boardis in inoperative position, and the board is of a thickness and width to completely fill, said recesses, so that when the ironing-board is in inoperative position it is i adalpted to support the hinged section of the tab to throughout its len th, as will be om Fig. 3 of the rawings. Near one end the recess-of the side bar 1 is formed with a circular opening 15, communieating with a box or casing Asecured to the side and'end bar of the frame, said side'and end bar for-ming two ofthe side walls of the casing. This construction provides a receptacle in which a rolling-pin 17 or other utensil may be kept. l

It will be notedthat when the ironingg board is iin-inoperative position it forms an effective support lengthwise the movable or hinged -section of the table-top, and that when said board has been turned to operative position the hinged leaf of the table-top'aids in securing the lironing-board. The mixingboard is concealed beneath the fixed section of the table-top when in inoperative position and may be readily moved to operative position for use .when desired.

Having'A thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is- In an ironing-table, al suitably-supported frame containing opposite top bars each hav- 'ving a recess of equal depth cut out of the top edge-thereof, one of said recesses being cut through the entire ,thickness of the top bar,
