To provide an exhaust gas sensor mounting structure such that an exhaust gas sensor is mounted on a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine in the condition where the exhaust gas sensor is protected. In a cylinder head 41 of an internal combustion engine 6 having intake and exhaust valves 56 and 57 arranged in the form of a V-shape, wherein exhaust ports 55 are bent from the axes of the respective exhaust valves 57 in a direction opposite to the intake valves 56, and a mounting flange surface for an exhaust member is formed at the downstream end of the exhaust ports 55; an exhaust gas sensor is located on the periphery of the mounting flange surface so as to project from the outer side surface of the exhaust ports 55 in the condition where the exhaust gas sensor is inclined with respect to the axis of a cylinder.
