Abstract

Description

液晶顯示裝置
本發明涉及一種液晶顯示裝置,尤其涉及一種具有窄邊框的液晶顯示裝置。
習知的液晶顯示裝置,通常包括顯示畫面的顯示區以及圍繞所述顯示區的邊框區。為提升顯示裝置的美感和使用效果,通常要求顯示裝置具有較窄的邊框區,甚至是無邊框的效果。
鑒於此,有必要提供一種拼接式顯示器,其可實現相鄰的顯示裝置之間無邊框顯示。
鑒於此,有必要提供一種液晶顯示裝置,其可實現較窄的邊框區。
一種液晶顯示裝置,其包括: 顯示面板,所述顯示面板包括TFT基板,所述TFT基板包括平坦的基底主部和由所述基底主部彎折延伸的延伸部,所述延伸部上設置有電性連接所述TFT基板的驅動晶片;以及 背光模組,所述背光模組包括: 導光板,所述導光板包括層疊在所述基底主部一側的平坦的主體部和由所述主體部朝遠離所述基底主部的方向彎折延伸的彎折部,所述彎折部與所述延伸部朝同一方向彎折且位於液晶顯示裝置的同一側,所述彎折部遠離所述主體部的端面為所述導光板的入光面,所述主體部朝向並靠近所述基底主部的表面為所述導光板的出光面;以及 複數LED顆粒,正對所述入光面設置。
所述液晶顯示裝置將習知技術中設置在下邊框的LED顆粒依靠彎折的導光板設置為不佔用下邊框,將習知技術中設置在下邊框的驅動晶片依靠TFT基板彎折的基底設置為不佔用下邊框,因此所述液晶顯示裝置可實現較窄的下邊框,甚至無下邊框的效果。

請參閱圖1,液晶顯示裝置100定義有顯示畫面的顯示區101和圍繞所述顯示區101且不顯示畫面的邊框區103。所述邊框區103包括液晶顯示裝置100正常使用時位於液晶顯示裝置100的上下側的上邊框104和下邊框105以及位於左右側的左邊框102和右邊框106。
習知的液晶顯示裝置(圖未示)的左邊框102和右邊框106通常相對非常窄,而下邊框105通常具有一相對較寬的寬度(下邊框朝顯示區方向垂直延伸的寬度),且下邊框105的位置可能設置有驅動晶片(圖未示)等元件,此外通常在邊框區103處設置遮蔽油墨,以遮蔽驅動晶片等元件。
本實施例中,如圖1所示,下邊框105的寬度相對非常窄。請進一步參閱圖2,所述液晶顯示裝置100包括層疊設置的顯示面板110和背光模組30。所述顯示面板110包括層疊設置的彩色濾光基板10和薄膜電晶體(TFT)基板20、以及設置於所述彩色濾光基板10和所述TFT基板20之間的液晶層(圖未示)。所述背光模組30設置靠近所述彩色濾光基板10。
所述TFT基板20包括一透明的基底21和形成所述基底21上的複數TFT(圖未示)以及其他元件(圖未示)。所述背光模組30包括導光板31、複數LED顆粒33、反射片35以及本領域常規的其他元件,如光學膜片組(圖未示)。
本實施例中,所述導光板31為柔性可彎曲的。例如,所述導光板31的材質一般為PET樹脂,但PET材料彎曲度有限,所以可用其他可撓性材料,例如聚醯亞胺(polyimide)。如圖2所示,所述導光板31包括平坦的主體部311和由所述主體部311朝遠離所述彩色濾光基板10的方向彎折延伸的彎折部313。所述反射片35設置在所述導光板31的主體部311遠離所述彩色濾光基板10的一側。所述導光板31的彎折部313彎折延伸至所述反射片35遠離所述彩色濾光基板10的一側。所述導光板31具有一入光面312和一出光面314。所述入光面312為所述彎折部313遠離主體部311的端面。所述出光面314為所述主體部311朝向並靠近所述TFT基板20的表面。
如圖2所示,正對所述導光板31的入光面312處設置有LED顆粒33。進一步參閱圖3,所述背光模組30中的LED顆粒33為複數個,其設置在一電路板34上且排佈成至少一列。所述LED顆粒33發出的光經所述彎折部313進入,並進入所述導光板31的主體部311並從出光面314射出,以為所述顯示面板110提供背光。本實施例中,所述導光板31的主體部311基本位於所述顯示區101,所述LED顆粒33未佔用下邊框105(與下邊框105錯開),所述導光板31的彎折部313的部分佔用下邊框105(與下邊框105正對)。
所述彎折部313的設計能夠使所述射入的光線發生全反射,進而光線在所述彎折部313中傳導並進入所述主體部311。所述彎折部313的表面(入光面312除外)上塗覆或貼覆反射塗層315,如圖2所示。所述反射塗層315可為例如金屬反射塗層。例如所述導光板31的彎折部313的折射係數設置為1.5-1.8,而在彎折部313的外表面上塗覆折射係數為1.2-1.5的反射塗層315,從而使彎折部313達到全反射。可以理解的,為使所述彎折部313達到全反射的方式不限於上述例舉的方式,還可為本領域慣用的各種方式。彎折部313的另一個作用為將點光源的LED顆粒33經由彎曲的路徑可以達到均勻混光效果,當光線進入顯示區101時可以有效的消除靠近光點區域較亮的問題。
一實施例中,每一個LED顆粒33發一種顏色的光,所述LED顆粒包括紅光、藍光、綠光三種類型,三種類型的LED顆粒33發出的紅光、藍光、綠光的混光在所述彎折部313完成。另一實施例中,LED顆粒33為藍光LED,在所述彎折部313中設置顏色轉換材料(如量子點、螢光粉等)使,LED顆粒33發出光轉換成白光。另一實施例中,直接使用適當的量子點增強膜(Quantum Dot Enhancement Film, QDEF)為彎折部313,使彎折部313既能轉換光的顏色又能將光傳導至主體部311。
本實施例中,所述基底21為柔性可彎曲的。例如,所述基底21的材質可為透明的聚醯亞胺。如圖2所示,所述基底21包括平坦的基底主部211和由所述基底主部211朝遠離所述彩色濾光基板10的方向彎折延伸的延伸部213。本實施例中,所述基底21彎折延伸方向與所述導光板31彎折延伸方向相同且位於所述液晶顯示裝置100的同一側。所述基底主部211層疊在所述主體部311靠近所述彩色濾光基板10的一側,所述延伸部213延伸圍繞所述彎折部313。所述彩色濾光基板10、所述基底主部211、所述主體部311、所述反射片35為依次層疊設置。
所述液晶顯示裝置100還包括一驅動晶片40,所述驅動晶片40設置在所述TFT基板20上,更具體的設置在所述TFT基板20的所述基底21的延伸部213上,因此所述驅動晶片40不佔用下邊框105的面積。本實施例中,所述驅動晶片40設置在所述延伸部213遠離所述彎折部313的一側,且鄰近所述延伸部213遠離所述基底主部211的端面處。
所述驅動晶片40電性連接設置在所述基底21上的TFT以及其他電性元件(圖未示),例如可包含顯示驅動器(圖未示,例如閘極驅動、源極驅動以及時序控制器等),可用以驅動TFT等。本實施例中,所述TFT基板20的基底21基本位於所述顯示區101,所述驅動晶片40未佔用下邊框105(與下邊框105錯開),所述TFT基板20的延伸部213的部分佔用下邊框105(與下邊框105正對)。
如此,借助彎曲的彎折部313的全反射將LED顆粒33的光導至所述導光板31的主體部311,由主體部311上的出光面314均勻出射,不會浪費LED顆粒33的光線,同時LED顆粒33也不會佔用下邊框105。
本實施例中,所述導光板31為同一柔性材料製成且一體成型。即,所述主體部311和所述彎折部313均為相同的柔性材料製成且一體成型。其他實施例中,也可僅設置所述彎折部313為柔性材料製成,所述主體部311由非柔性材料製成,所述彎折部313拼接在所述主體部311的一側。
本實施例中,所述基底21為同一柔性材料製成且一體成型。即,所述基底主部211和所述延伸部213均為相同的柔性材料製成且一體成型。其他實施例中,也可僅設置所述延伸部213為柔性材料製成,所述基底主部211由非柔性材料製成,所述延伸部213拼接在所述基底主部211的一側。如圖2所示,所述延伸部213鄰近所述彎折部313,所述延伸部213包圍所述彎折部313。
所述液晶顯示裝置100將習知技術中設置在下邊框105的LED顆粒33依靠彎折的導光板31設置為不佔用下邊框105,將習知技術中設置在下邊框105的驅動晶片40依靠TFT基板20彎折的基底21設置為不佔用下邊框105,因此所述液晶顯示裝置100可實現較窄的下邊框105,甚至無下邊框的效果。
以上實施例僅用以說明本發明的技術方案而非限制,圖示中出現的上、下、左及右方向僅為了方便理解,儘管參照較佳實施例對本發明進行了詳細說明,所屬技術領域的普通人員應當理解,可以對本發明的技術方案進行修改或等同替換,而不脫離本發明技術方案的精神和範圍。

Claims (9)

  1. 一種液晶顯示裝置,其改良在於,其包括: 顯示面板,所述顯示面板包括TFT基板,所述TFT基板包括平坦的基底主部和由所述基底主部彎折延伸的延伸部,所述延伸部上設置有電性連接所述TFT基板的驅動晶片;以及 背光模組,所述背光模組包括: 導光板,所述導光板包括層疊在所述基底主部一側的平坦的主體部和由所述主體部朝遠離所述基底主部的方向彎折延伸的彎折部,所述彎折部與所述延伸部朝同一方向彎折且位於液晶顯示裝置的同一側,所述彎折部遠離所述主體部的端面為所述導光板的入光面,所述主體部朝向並靠近所述基底主部的表面為所述導光板的出光面;以及 複數LED顆粒,正對所述入光面設置。
  2. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述彎折部除了所述入光面以外的表面上設置有反射塗層。
  3. 如請求項2所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述彎折部的折射係數設置為1.5-1.8,所述反射塗層的折射係數為1.2-1.5。
  4. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述背光模組還包括反射片,其設置在所述導光板的主體部遠離所述基底主部的一側,所述導光板的彎折部彎折延伸至所述反射片遠離所述基底主部的一側。
  5. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述延伸部延伸圍繞所述彎折部。
  6. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述複數LED顆粒設置在一電路板上。
  7. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述驅動晶片設置在所述延伸部遠離所述彎折部的一側,且鄰近所述延伸部遠離所述基底主部的端面處。
  8. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述主體部和所述彎折部均為相同的柔性材料製成且一體成型;或者所述彎折部為柔性材料製成,所述主體部由非柔性材料製成,所述彎折部拼接在所述主體部的一側。
  9. 如請求項1所述的液晶顯示裝置,其中:所述基底主部和所述延伸部均為相同的柔性材料製成且一體成型;或者所述延伸部為柔性材料製成,所述基底主部由非柔性材料製成,所述延伸部拼接在所述基底主部的一側。
