Abstract
Description
д.The alleged invention relates to the technology of carbon fiber materials, in particular, to the technology of carbon nonwovens by thermochemical processing of the original fibers, and can be used in the production of reinforcing fillers composites, thermal insulation of high-temperature thermal equipment, flexible electric heaters, electrodes, filters aggressive gases, liquids and melts at high temperatures, in the production of sports and medical products, in particular the precursors Dr. implants in ophthalmology, general surgery, traumatology, combustiology, obstetrics and gynecology, proctology, Dental, ENT, etc.
[1]A method of obtaining carbon fiber material (UVM) impregnation of the original cellulosic fibrous materials (textiles, cotton wool, fine fibers) with an aqueous solution of catalytic compounds, drying and heat treatment in the presence of the introduced catalyst. Before drying, the impregnated cellulosic fibrous material is subjected to steaming, and after drying, the cellulosic fibrous material is thermally treated in an inert atmosphere to any temperature in the range of 240-2800 ° C. The disadvantage of this method when processing the original fibrous nonwoven materials (for example, wool, etc.) is impregnation in aqueous solutions of the carbonation catalyst. Possessing high hygroscopicity, non-woven materials adsorb a large amount of moisture, the removal of which by drying is a serious technological problem. With a long drying time exceeding several hours, local zones with high humidity remain in the dried material. The heat treatment process of a nonwoven precursor with an uneven volume of moisture and the content of catalytic compounds is unstable, and the resulting carbon fiber materials do not have satisfactory strength. [one]
There is also known a method of producing carbon fiber nonwoven material, which includes forming a nonwoven material from viscose raw materials by needling from two external needle-punching layers and an internal unidirectional layer between them from continuous cellulosic filaments with a linear density of up to 380 tex, followed by carbonization with a gradual increase in heating temperature from 240 to 600-700 ° C in an inert atmosphere [2]. This method is in essence the closest to the proposed technical solution, therefore, selected as a prototype.
The method of the prototype is not free from drawbacks. This technical solution does not use a carbonization catalyst, and therefore, no impregnation of the starting materials in aqueous solutions of carbonization and drying catalysts is carried out. As a result, the complexity of the process of obtaining carbon non-woven cloth is significantly reduced. However, obtaining a durable carbon fiber material based on the original cellulosic fiber raw material as part of any material: in the form of a fabric, felt or bundles, threads, etc. - it is not possible, and the process of thermochemical transformation of cellulosic fibrous materials is very unstable and with a low yield of useful products.
These problems are caused by the peculiarities of the chemical structure and structure of fibrous cellulose, which hamper its technologically simple conversion into carbon fibrous material with the necessary physical and mechanical properties. The chemical formula of the cellulose macromolecule contains acetal bonds (oxygen bridges) both between the links of the main chain and inside the links. Therefore, during carbonization, complete depolymerization of the cellulosic macromolecule with the breaking of these bonds and the removal of oxygen atoms, which prevent the condensation processes of carbon-graphite-like fiber formation in the carbon-containing pyrolyzable residue, is necessary. Cellulose fibers have a heterophase structure, which consists of crystalline and amorphous elements with an oriented shell. In addition, cellulose fibers as polymer products are in a stress-strain state. In combination with the contrast of structure differences at the interface between crystalline and amorphous phases, this factor manifests a negative impact on the formation of the specific strength of the resulting carbon fiber.
The purpose of the proposed technical solution is to eliminate these drawbacks, increase the strength of the obtained carbon nonwoven fibrous materials and increase the specific physico-mechanical characteristics of carbon fibers in the composition of carbon nonwoven materials.
This goal is achieved due to the fact that in the known method of producing carbon fiber nonwoven material, including the formation of nonwoven material from cellulosic fiber raw material by needle rolling from two external needle-punched layers and an internal unidirectional layer between them from continuous cellulosic filaments of linear density up to 380 tex and subsequent carbonization and graphitization with a gradual increase in the heating temperature from 240 ° C to 2800 ° C in an inert atmosphere, in accordance with the proposed technical they decide, before forming the nonwoven fabric, the initial continuous threads are textile processed into cord fabric with a density of no more than 20-40 threads / 10 cm, of a weft - no more than 10 threads / 10 cm of width, and the linear density of the threads on the basis is not more than 192 tex. , and the weft yarns are not more than 50 tex, the obtained cord cellulose fabric is subjected to thermal treatment, heat treatment, carbonization catalyst synthesis on the surface of the fibers, vapor-air effect and the final ventilated drying, part of the obtained finished cord fabrics are stapled, two needle-punched non-woven cloths are made of stapled finished fibrous materials, which are placed on both sides of the finished cord fabric, needled out and get the finished non-woven cellulose cloth - the precursor of carbon non-woven cloth; while in the process of finishing cord cellulose fabric is subjected to intensive heating at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for up to 3 minutes, decoction in a solution of a chemical at a temperature not exceeding 100 ° C for up to 30 minutes, drying at a temperature not exceeding 115 ° C for up to 20 minutes, intensively heated at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for up to 3 minutes, processing chemical compounds-components of a catalyst in a mixture solution at a temperature not exceeding 100 ° C for up to 30 minutes to synthesize a catalyst on the surface of fibers, steaming in superheated vapor at a temperature not exceeding 130 ° C, ventilated drying at a temperature not exceeding 115 ° C to a constant dry mass of the finished cord cellulose fabric.
The physico-chemical nature of the differences of the proposed technical solution for carbon fiber nonwoven fabric is that in accordance with the first distinctive feature of the present invention, which is developed and formulated based on the results of experimental studies and is expressed in the fact that before the formation of a nonwoven cellulose fabric - carbon precursor non-woven cloth initial continuous threads are textile processed into cord fabric with a density of no more than 20-40 threads / 10 cm, duck - no more than 10 threads / 10 cm width, and the linear density of the yarns on the basis is not more than 192 tex, and duck threads - not more than 50 tex, the resulting cellulose cord fabric is subjected to heat and moisture treatment, catalyst synthesis carbonization on the surface of the fibers, vapor-air exposure and final ventilated drying.
In order to evaluate the technical effect obtained as a result of the implementation of this distinctive feature, it is necessary to take into account that one of the main disadvantages of the previously described method for producing non-woven carbon material according to the analogue of [1] is the finishing of a preformed non-woven cellulose cloth by impregnation in a solution of a carbonization catalyst and subsequent drying. Carrying out the finishing of cellulosic nonwoven fabric by the method of analogue does not allow to obtain finished cellulosic material with uniform humidity and with a stable content of catalyst in its volume, which is one of the main reasons for the unstable carbonization process and reducing the quality of the carbon nonwoven fabric obtained, and very significantly increases the complexity of finishing . The consequence of the exclusion of the process of finishing the original pulp web from the formation process, as it is done according to the method of the prototype [2], is a catastrophic decrease in the strength of the carbonized material obtained and the impossibility of using it as a precursor of an activated or graphitized nonwoven web.
The implementation of the finish of the proposed method eliminates both of these drawbacks: fabrication of cord fabric with the recommended textile characteristics from the original continuous filaments of the indicated linear densities of the base and weft before the formation allows it to be technologically easy to finish compared to a single-base web. Thin (0.3-0.35 mm thick) cord fabric with a moving textile structure during treatments by continuous wiring through containers with actively bubbling finishing solutions provides access of chemicals to the external and internal surfaces of the pore system, but also absorbs into intermolecular volumes of elementary fibers . As a result, the most favorable conditions are created for the interaction of chemical compounds with macromolecules of elementary fibers, including in intermolecular volumes. It also simplifies the continuous wiring of the cord fabric through the drying units, increases the uniformity of drying and the deposition of chemicals from solutions on the fabric. Due to the simultaneous heating of the fabric through the thickness, the migration of solutions from the volume of the pore system to the surface and the deposition of catalyst compounds on the surface of the fabric are practically eliminated.
Another difference of the proposed technical solution determines the actions of stapling a part of the trimmed cord fabric, making two needle-punched nonwoven cloths from the obtained staple-trimmed fibrous materials, placing them on both sides of the trimmed cord fabric, and needling, which results in a finished cellulose cloth-precursor carbon nonwoven cloth .
В предлагаемом способе, обеспечивается помимо равномерного осаждения катализатора на поверхности штапельных волокон, получаемых при штапелировании отделанной кордной ткани и непрерывных нитей основы и утка кордной ткани, армирующей нетканое полотно в середине толщины по сечению, равномерное его распределение в объеме пористой системы элементарных волокон (филаментов).The resulting technical effect from the implementation of these distinctive actions consists in obtaining a finished cellulosic nonwoven fabric containing a uniformly distributed carbonization catalyst. The finished non-woven fabric is fully prepared for high-temperature processing operations at the stages of carbonization and graphitization in a continuous manner, which results in a carbon non-woven fabric with high specific physical and mechanical properties of both the fabric and the elementary fibers in the fabric. In the proposed method, in addition to the uniform deposition of the catalyst on the surface of staple fibers, obtained by stapling the trimmed cord fabric and continuous warp and weft cord fabric reinforcing the nonwoven fabric in the middle of the thickness over the cross section, its uniform distribution in the volume of the porous system of filaments (filaments) is provided .
In addition, the reinforcement of non-woven fabric cord fabric with the proposed textile characteristics provides a fairly uniform strength along the length and width of the fabric, which contributes to the stable transportation of the fabric with high-temperature treatments at the stages of carbonization, graphitization and activation of the direct application of pulling force.
At the same time, making cord fabric with low textile indicators on the number of yarns on the base and weft and reducing the density of the weft yarn to 50 tex in thickness contributes to the necessary wicking of the fabric and yarn when stapling the cord fabric and eliminating the presence of excessively long yarns and fibers in the stapled fabric .
A distinctive feature of the proposed invention is also the fact that the integrated decoration of the proposed cord fabric includes intensive heating at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for up to 3 minutes, decoction in solution of the chemical (3) at a temperature of not more than 100 ° C for up to 30 minutes , drying at a temperature of not more than 115 ° C for up to 20 minutes, intensive heating at a temperature of 150-200 C for up to 3 minutes, processing in a mixture solution of chemical compounds - catalyst components (3, 4) at a temperature of from 20 ° C to 100 ° C for up to 30 minutes for the synthesis of ka alizatora on the fiber surface, steaming in a superheated-steam environment at a temperature not exceeding 130 ° C for 30 min, a ventilated drying at a temperature not exceeding 115 ° C to constant dry weight trimmed cord fabric. Modes of operations of complex finishing are determined and verified by experience.
The feasibility of complex finishing operations is determined by the technological need to prepare the cellulose fiber structure for the carbonization process, in order to stabilize the pyrolysis of the fiber with an increase in carbonized carbon fiber yield, an increase in the specific strength properties of stapled and continuous fibers, and an increase in the intensity of the thermochemical process of converting cellulose fibers to carbon. fibers as a part of a nonwoven cloth.
Obtaining a technical effect from carrying out these distinctive actions is predetermined by the structural and chemical properties of cellulose fiber. As is known, cellulose fibers are rigid chain polymers with polar side hydroxyl groups and are characterized by high hydrophilicity. Therefore, when exposed to heat and moisture, they are capable of self-organization of cellulose macromolecules mainly in the amorphous regions of the structure of short-range fibers of crystalline elements. During heat and moisture treatment, the fibers experience a plasticizing effect of moisture, which causes relaxation processes that reduce the level of stress-strain state in the fibers. As the temperature of the chemical solutions boils and the treatment duration increases, the degree of self-structuring of macromolecules increases at the recommended intervals, a more uniform fiber structure is created, and the structural contrast at the interface between the crystallite and amorphous regions is smoothed.
With intensive short-term heating, the macromolecules of cellulose fibers do not disorientate and amorphorize. In the conditions when the fiber rapidly reaches heating temperatures in the specified range, a state close to the highly elastic state of the polymer develops before the beginning of the pyrolysis of cellulose, the cellulose macromolecules go into a new equilibrium state. Such rearrangements also improve the uniformity of the structural structure of the fiber, which contributes to the stability of the process of thermal conversion of cellulose fiber into carbon fiber.
It was previously noted that carbon fiber with acceptable specific physico-mechanical characteristics can be obtained only by carbonization in the presence of a catalyst deposited on the surface of cellulose fiber and evenly distributed in it both outside and in the volume of its porous-capillary system. Therefore, the above distinctive feature for temperature-time parameters of catalyst synthesis in conjunction with parameters for steaming in superheated vapor-air medium and final ventilated drying is performed to ensure such placement of the catalyst on the fiber before stapling the cord fabric, forming a non-woven fabric reinforced with cord fabric and subsequent carbonization processes and high temperature treatments.
The explanations given on the complex parameters of heat-moisture treatments of cord cellulose fabric and the introduction of a carbonization catalyst before forming a nonwoven cellulose cloth and its subsequent high-temperature treatments make it possible to more fully evaluate the technological feasibility of finishing a cord fabric to produce a nonwoven cellulose cloth fully prepared for use as a carbon cloth precursor, produced on the proposed method.
The essence of the proposed invention is illustrated by a specific example of execution. The example uses standard textile and cutting equipment. The accumulation of cord fabric with the recommended textile structure (with a density of 20-40 threads per 10 cm width, duck - no more than 10 threads per 10 cm width) of threads with a density of not more than 192 tex on the basis and no more than 50 tex on the weft ( TU 12-0020456-7-92) conducted according to standard modes of textile production.
The fabric fabric made of a given textile structure arrived at the heat-moisture finish with the obligatory performance of all the proposed finishing operations: intensive heating at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for no more than 3 minutes; decoction in a 10% solution of a chemical (3), for example, sodium hyposulphite (GOST 244-76) at a temperature of 90-100 ° C for 15 ± 5 minutes; ventilated drying at a temperature of 100 ± 15 ° С for 15 ± 5 minutes; intense heating at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for no more than 3 minutes; treatment in a mixed solution of chemical compounds of the catalyst components (3, 4), for example, 17% mixture solution of ammonium chloride (GOST 2210-73) and diammonium phosphate (GOST 8575-75) in a ratio of 3: 2 at a temperature of 90-100 ° С during 20-30 minutes, steaming in a superheated vapor-air medium at a temperature of 100 ± 15 ° С, ventilated drying in a superheated vapor-air medium at a temperature of 100 ± 15 ° С to a constant dry mass of the finished cord fabric.
Then 2/3 of the fabricated amount of trimmed cord fabric was sent for stapling (cutting). The remaining amount of trimmed cord fabric was used to reinforce the nonwoven fabric produced.
Cutting trimmed cord fabric was produced on a domestic-made machine of the RSF-15-IZ type, setting the breaking stress of cutting and the cutting speed to the extent that the number of uncut staples did not exceed 3.3%. The raw material used for making cord fabric fully complies with the requirements for the cutting process on the above equipment with respect to fiber uniformity, length and thickness. In this case, trimmed, cord fabric is made in the form of a continuous tape. There are no special requirements on the uniformity of the lengths of the staples, since it has been empirically established that a change in the length of the staples from 25 mm up to 120 mm has practically no effect on the quality of the external needle-punching fabrics produced. Moreover, the different metric composition of the staples contributes to the bonding of the staple fibers into a single mass of the canvas already during the procession at the stage of the formation of external non-woven canvases. As already noted above, the technology of manufacturing outdoor paintings - standard. For the final formation of the finished cellulose non-woven fabric, the outer canvases preformed from the finished staple fabric and the finished cord fabric are wound on the socks and simultaneously served on an IM-1800M-A needle-piercing unit, the canvases are outside and the cord fabric in the middle of them. With the same speed, they are transported through the needle-piercing unit assembly, where all layers are bonded by needling, and the number of punctures can vary from 100 to 250 per 1 cm 2 for bulk density up to 25 kg / m 3 . Thus, a finished non-woven cellulose finished fabric was obtained, which is a precursor of a non-woven carbon fiber fabric.
The carbonization of the finished non-woven cellulose cloth was carried out according to the known modes (5) at the carbonization unit (6). A roll of non-woven cellulose cloth - the precursor of carbon non-woven cloth was loaded into the feeding unit of the carbonization unit, hemmed to a textile tape of a broach made of heat-resistant fiber - carbon cloth. The fabric broach is pulled through the reaction zone of the carbonization furnace and charged into the transport mechanism at the exit of the carbonized nonwoven fabric from the carbonization unit. Purge the reaction zone of the carbonization unit with an inert gas. Temperature distribution by heating zones by known modes. Without shutting off the inert gas supply, they continue heating and, when they reach the set temperatures, turn on the transport mechanism with the speed of transportation of the nonwoven fabric to 5-7 meters per hour, while the duration of the carbonization process was ~ 45 minutes. At the exit from the carbonization zone, volatile pyrolysis products are burned in a special afterburner installation. Combustion products are ventilated and neutralized in a standard unit. The carbonized nonwoven fabric obtained has good flexibility, wrinkle resistance and has a tensile strength in the direction of the basis of the reinforcing cord fabric up to 40 kgf / 5 cm width, duck up to 25 kgf / 5 cm.
Then the carbonized nonwoven fabric was subjected to graphitization in an inert environment in a continuous manner at a transport speed of up to 10 meters per hour and a temperature of 2400 ° C. Graphitized canvas is characterized by flexibility, resistance to stiffness, organoleptically it is a soft non-flaking material. Carbon filaments reinforcing carbon fabric (cord) have a strength of up to 1500 g / thread.
20%.The proposed process of obtaining carbonized and graphitized canvas is stable, the increase in the yield of products compared with the prototype, higher by 20%.
