Abstract

Arrangement connects two tubes end to end and includes an externally accessible element (A) of the connector which has the same external contour as the tube. The two tube end are connected by rotating the element (A), which has a central square opening capable of engaging the square position of a bolt (B) whose ends have opposite-handed screw thread. These screw ends engage expandable nuts (C), one in each tube end, whose OD is slightly >= the tube ID. The arrangement is such that in rotating the element (A), the nuts expand whilst their sharp edges secure themselves in the inner tube walls, and the tube ends are pulled together.
