Abstract

Tubes of different cross-sections can be assembled to form a tubular structure by using a hollow cube (A). Each face of the cube has a projection (G) which is of the same as the bore of the tube (d). The end of the tube is fitted over this projection and opposite tubes are secured by bolts (C) which screw into a common sleeve. On other faces the fixing bolt screws into a nut fixed to the inner face of the cube. Instead of a cube the central block (A) may have a hexagonal cross-section with tubes joined to each face.
