The present invention refers to a process for preparong corn chips from strips produced by nixtamalized corn dough. Said chips formed by passing the dough through an extruder with a rectangular cell head which is also a product of the present invention. The aforementioned product and process is primarily use in the manufacture of salads, tortilla soup and as a snack. The invention proposes a different method for lowering the fat and moisture content and increases the quality attributes of food products from additives to the nixtamalized corn dough, such as fish flours, dry shrimp, dehydrated onion, and dehydrated pumpkin, among others.
